Hotel Quartier Latin  

临近旧蒙特利尔和主要观光街道。住宿价格便宜。订这家酒店，纯粹因为价格便宜。没有在这里吃早餐，所以不知- 道好不好。附近的食店选择较多，价格也合理。

一进房间就有烟味。没有咖啡壶，不能弄点热水喝。房间设计非常简单。楼下是酒吧，附近临近大学，晚上有点吵- 。没有电梯，上落比较麻烦。到了10点后，热水不热，没法洗澡，即使打电话到前台也没有办法解决问题，只能- 让我们再等，结果等到晚上12点也没有热水；后来再打电话到前台，也没有人接电话了。

Location

The owner was extremely rude as well as the other personal. We book a three person room but as they don't have it at that time gave us a 4 people room and we have to pay as we were four. One day the door of the room was open and the day after they didnt clean the room at all. Breakfast is ridiculus and they treat us af we are in a prison.

Lack of air conditioning in our room!!

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful at all times - top marks for them. Room was cleaned daily, towels replaced etc, no problems. Secure car park located 1/2 block away, was advised by staff to use that as the safest place to leave my car. Looking around the surrounding area I would say that was good advice, thanks guys. Despite previous comments I saw and heard no problems at all with the gentlemen's club next door.

This is a budget hotel and it does reflect that, no extra facilities bar a single soda vending machine. Room furniture is tired. No lift so checking into a 4th floor room is a pain if you have a large suitcase, otherwise, meh, it's no big deal really. Air conditioning was working at full blast on my arrival and the corridors on the 4th floor were kept nicely cool, sadly it was totally ineffective in my room, it wasn't that warm after the first day so was never really an issue for me, but could be unpleasant when better weather arrives. I would only recommend this hotel to the single/budget traveller, families and people seeking more than a bed for the night might need to consider carefully what they expect. The hotel is located in a very lively area of town and with the window open you will notice that, but close the window and there was no noise interference.

Everything was within walking distance. Metro, clubs, bars, restaurants all 5 minutes away.

No air conditioning, rooms were ridiculously hot. No ice machine either, located right beside a gentlemen's club so it was loud at nighttime (2 am onwards).

The staff was very warm, welcoming, and helpful. When I needed help buying a phone card to call the U.S., they told me exactly where to go and what to buy. The hotel was quiet and clean. The double room was small, but comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was croissants, juice, and coffee/tee. The owner always offered me seconds. He was very nice. The neighborhood is amazing. If you want a hotel in a neighborhood with a lively nightlife: tons of student bars, restaurants, even hookah bars, try the Hotel Quartier Latin.

The room was slightly small.

The location is excellent , good value for money. Clean and basic.

This hotel is well located in the heart of the Latin Quarter. It is close to the metro/buses, restaurants, and theatre district. It is clean and quiet with friendly staff.

- Location of the hotel in the down town area.

- The smell in the room which went away after turnning the Air- condition on for sometime. - Customer is treated as a business object not as guest.

Immediately, upon opening the front door, I felt friendliness and a sincere desire to help me, in any realistic way, with any problems I might have, being a stranger in Montreal. The continental Breakfast, served in a special room reserved for that person, was really delicious and delivered with a genuine smile, and some gentle urgings to 'EAT MORE". Clean, (Well run), comfortable, friendly, and moderately priced, the Latin Quarter Hotel exceeded my expectations, and , without hesitation, this is my first choice in Montreal.

cheap and clean

Two things that should be known before booking: 1. this place is located next to a strip club that blasts thumping music all weekend night long 2. the hotel management likes to save money by turning off the heating throughout the hotel (even in the middle of Montreal's winter). I had to speak with them five times over the course of two days to turn the heating back on. When questioned on why they were doing this, they just said to "call 0" when you want to have heating (for only a few hours, until they turn it off again). Woke up freezing at 5:00am twice.

For the price and proximity of everything downtown, best bang for buck!
