Hotel Quartier Latin

good area: close to cafe/shopping/bus terminal etc.. Front desk was efficient, pleasant and helpful.

Environment felt unwelcoming and rushed, although the staff was pleasant and helpful. The area is risque with a 'gentlemen's club' literally right beside the motel (and the room we stayed in seemed to be directly beside the wall - music was loud until 3a.m and the walls shuddered). Would say this is an affordable place (for the night/backpackers) but not enjoyable.

Very good situated, takes only a few minutes with the subway to get to the old village of Montreal and the financial district.

The quietness and the ideal location

location very nice and close to saint cathrin st and UQAM metro station and very well for saving money

cleanliness, floor mocket and bed sheets are not ok and breakfast is just cup of juice and one piece of muffin

We had a room for 4 people (2 king size beds). When we arrived there they asked us how many we were. We were actually only 2 persons. Knowing this, they tried to change us to another hotel with the excuse they only had bedrooms of 1 bed, but we had booked a room for 4 people, 1 bed?, Crazy! Unforgivable! I think they just wanted to have the big bedroom ready for people arriving the Thanksgiving weekend able to pay a lot.

Colorful district. I enjoyed walking to my conference site at the Palais.

One night I could hear a TV next door.

I liked the friendy and helpful staff members. The room was cleaned regularly. I liked the location of the hotel too.

As a Europen, I did not find the continental breakfast to be a substantial meal.

The hotel is a great bargain, I've stayed here twice now and have had a great experience both times. Perfect location!

The hotel location in the Quartier Latin is simply fantastic, near nice restaurants, a good cinema, as well as the UQAM university and Montreal's main library. Some of the main entertainment venues of the city are close as well. TV channels in the room work well and there is also free wireless Internet. Hotel staff are nice and helpful.

I've seen the hotel in better days. The carpets need to be washed and rooms decoration slightly improved. St Denis street can be noisy at times, but it usually doesn't bother much. The hotel has a strip club nearby - it doesn't bother much also.

Location - close to Old City, St. Dennis area and other atractive venues

As there is no A/C, the rooms are overheated, need to keep windows open, due to street partying it is impossible to fall asleep before 4:30. Arrogant staff.

The hotel was very clean, specially the bathroom. Good location and it has its own parking ($10)

The rooms were extremely small, no AC, extremely noisy (i could hear everything on the street) no ice machine, no fridge, and the biggest one of all, I slept in a couch not a bed!!!!!!! yes a couch.....Hotel had no elevators, so if you have some sort of disability, good luck.

Location Location Location - awesome location, close to everything. Great if you are not going to stay in your room - room is good, functional and has all required comforts for a nights' sleep and a shower. :-)
