Great Location, near downtown, waterfront, ocean and parks. Excellent Restaurant. I loved it No air conditioning, but I was able to leave the balcony door open(4th Floor), and the traffic noise was not too bad.

The extra charge daily -- $20! -- to use the kitchen attached to our room. The hotel restaurant is over-priced, and this extra for making your own breakfast is an insult.

Location is excellent, hotel is comfortable, homey. Restaurant offering three meals a day is great. Housekeeping is accommodating and friendly and rooms are well kept. I had to request cotton sheets, after two nights on the 23% polyester sheets (which I'm allergic to, I needed to get them changed. the staff at the dest inquired and phoned me to say that the hotel didn't have any. since I had stayed there many times before I didn't believe the info from the Frondt Desk and spoke to the person servicing our room and, voila! I had 100% cotton sheets that night which was excellent. Since you are an 'allergy conscious' hotel I hope you continue to keep some !00% cotton sheets for people like myself. Fitness room is too hot/not well ventilated/equipment is maintained/pool is nice facility.

Very convenient for downtown shopping and the ferry. Can't give enough praise for the staff--exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a free shuttle to downtown, but because we requested this in the evening, they gave us vouchers for a free cab both ways! We blew a fuse when using both a coffee pot and hairblower, indicating a problem with electric capacity. The bed was ok, but needed further padding.

This hotel may not be the finest in Victoria but it somewhat classic and an excellent value. The location is near to the attractions in and around the inner harbour. I highly recommend the qvh.
