t v worked ...
the band playing in bar below could be heard in my room from my arrival in aft. till 2 am I was told of this when I arrived and could have found other accommodation why not be up front on web site...older room. I went out to dinner and a movie in order not to be in room. I plan to be in this city again and would avoid this place at all cost many nicer hotels for just a few $ more Live and learn, this was a dive!!!!
The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was good. The prices were decent. We also went to the pub, had great time. They also have gambling and pool table. Nice local community bar. Don't expect luxury but its clean and in walking distance to Walmart and mall.
The TV needs replacing. So bad could not watch it. The sound was shot.
I've slept on straw mats more comfortable than that bed. Only one of the 4 lamps actually worked, the floor was disgusting, the room and hallways smelled like urine and beer, and the TV and Wi-Fi didn't work. I understand that it was a very low price, but they could have at least had some self respect.
nothing really, oh the face cloth was nice
everything, though to be fair I knew I what I was getting into for 35 bucks
Location. Close to main places. Good wifi. Good boiling hot shower.
Lots of noise from the karaoke and pub downtairs. We were missing towels, so we requested a towel and got literally a rag from the pub.The shower doors were kind of falling apart and there were pubic hairs on the bath. Bed sheets and pillow covers were not clean and smelled as sweat, and the beds were poorly done. Recicled garbish stayed inside our room and outside our door from the neighbors for several days. Nobody cleaned the room in all the time that we stayed there.
Absolutely run down and dirty. Bar underneath makes it worse. Walked in and walked right out again. Seems like a pay by the hour motel
Not clean, dusty, hot, loud, no showers
Nice room, bed and tv
To expensive for backpackers like me
The staff at check-in was fabulous, very helpful. The location was great, with transit and shopping within 5-10 minutes of walking. Loved the karaoke night, a friendly and fun wild time! Will be back again when business takes me to Campbell River again.
Ah, the bathroom had a few silverfish or something like them, it was kinda off-putting but this is a heritage, older building. A shared kitchen would have been nice as its a hostel, but with the price, its not a huge deal, not having a kitchen.
The beds were not even made properly !! there was lost objects laying on the floor
Loud thumping music during the day and night from the pub downstairs. No shower just a bath. Wasn't allowed to use sink in my room. Traffic right by room.
Great value for money - I was given a $70 room for the price of $35. It had a full private bathroom, a double bed, and a single bed. Cable and wi-fi were also accessible.
The bar is right downstairs so the music travels - but bring earplugs and it is no big deal.
Older places have character .We found it comfortable, handy to the bus route and ok for the price. Stayed 2 nights.
We chose it because it said hostel so we could make our own drinks etc but we couldn't even get an electric kettle to boil water .
