After we checked, we did not find any drinking water in the room. I was under impression that thee will be indoor pool but nothing.
Staff were very helpful.
The Front Desk staff was friendly and when I was at my room door and pulled out card too quick, a maid was kind enough to show me how to do it.
Parking Garage confusing. Ignore pay Box and Front Desk takes care of it at check in. Once parked you have to hope that traffic is two ways - no signing to tell you. And Yes it is Two way, go back the way you came.
Close to amenities, close to my business location. And the staff was excellent
Small rooms, over priced,no breakfast
Enjoyed a three night stay in comfort. Clean room, good value, excellent location.
Good location, reasonably clean decent price.
Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Parking garage is terrible.
Quiet room, nice view, nice restaurant and staff
underground parking was very tight and limited
Bed and bedding very nice
Lobby lacked any appeal and the windows very dirty
Room was nice as were the people at the front desk. Zero complaints there.
Street was noisy in the morning but it could have been garage day or something. A bit further away from the Market and the museums than I would have liked but very close to Parliament. My own fault as I didn't know the areas of the city.
I liked the size of the room, the duvet/comforter was perfection... I wanted to take it home it was so comfy, the staff was helpful, and the restaurant had the best dinner I had my whole stay.
In the past I have slept with a sleep number bed and loved it. This time both my husband and I woke up every morning with a sore back. We adjusted the bed to a soft bed one night and a harder bed another night. Not sure what the problem was. My sleep was poor because of this. When I was watching tv the duvet and pillows were perfect.
location is not bad
bed was not comfy
Location was great.
Room had an obstructed view and was dark and tired looking.
I liked that I was able to bring along my english bulldog. He was welcomed with open arms. There is plenty of spots where he could do his business steps from the main entrance. A dog park is located at the end of Queen street. It doesn't have gates, so you will need to keep a close eye so that your furry friend does not go into the street. Location is great as it is at the end of Queen street, thus very quiet after 8 pm. But still close enough to pubs and restaurants on Sparks street. You have the best of both worlds. Close to great entertainment and far enough to get a great rest at night.
It is not only with this hotel but with most of them. The room doors are usually not isolated, so you hear everything that happens in the hallway. Also, the next door neighbour didn't have to make a lot of noise for us to hear him. But again, those are problems with most hotels, not only this one.
Comfortable bed, clean room, good location, helpful staff
Small parking garage and parking fee. No free breakfest.
My whole family like that the hotel is located near all the places with like to see around Ottawa (Rideau Canal, Parliament, restaurants, local events, etc) everything was walking distance from the hotel and the information and map that the staff gave us was quite useful and when we told them that our room has no working toilet, they were able to provide us with a new room at the same price.
One of our suites didn't have a working toilet
Location was perfect for walking to Parliament Hill. The restaurant was good and everyone was friendly. Wifi was good.
The room was just okay, we didn't get the beds, they seemed to deflate overnight. Our air conditioner was very noisy and there didn't seem to be a way to turn it down. The cleaning on our first day was just so, so. Dirty mugs not taken or replaced. Second day was much better.
Comfort of beds, cleanliness
Parking is super-tight!! Bathroom had a cosmetic makeover, but clearly plumbing is still old. Room was small for North American standards, but I've stayed in much smaller in Europe.
Very clean and comfortable. Restaurant and bar attached with room service available. Nice employees.
A bit far from Byward market and expensive compared with the previous hotel we went to last year.
Sleep number bed.
Garbage not emptied... Food in it. Coffeepot overheats and shuts down. Location a bit too far from Parliament....no pool. Parking poor....rather sketchy.
Website said there was a pool but no pool
Staff was friendly and somewhat helpful
We just left the hotel this morning. The staff was wonderful, and very helpful. When we booked the hotel, the bed was advertised as a sleep number bed and it was not. I recently had a car accident and suffered a broken back, so this was important to me. At home, I have a special mattress that was doctor recommended, so when a hotel advertises a sleep number, I expect to be notified if this is false! When I mentioned it to the clerk, he said "oh sorry, I will let the manager know". I was told upon arrival that parking was 18/night, which I expected. But on the second night, we went out and came back to no available parking. When I told the man at the desk he said "oh you can park on some of the streets for free". I was a bit miffed that I wasn't told this upon arrival. However; the man was very helpful at finding my husband a parking spot. It did feel a bit "scammy" that we weren't given the free parking option from the start! I was also not informed that my view would be scaffolding and construction equipment! In fact, the woman at the desk recommended a lower floor for us! Had I known about the construction, I would have taken a higher room. I think it's safe to say, most people that get a hotel room, look forward to a nice view. I thought the staff would consider the construction and try to avoid those rooms. Lastly, next door to us, there was a woman, running an escort service! I was out in the hall when we arrived waiting( because the key didn't work the first time), and a man came to the door to my right and knocked. A woman opened it and said "nice to meet you, would you like the massage too?" He entered and about 5 minutes later, we could hear them having sex. I saw him leave later, and two more men visited that night. We could hear everything (thin walls). I thought the raddison was sort of middle class, family and business oriented.
Close to parliament hill and sparks street activities
Very small room. No wash clothes or toilet paper in bathroom.
