I loved how close the hotel was to our Concert. Clean room.
I did not like how small the beds are. Only double bed option.
Small, bathroom was almost bigger than the room
Hotel clean, room spacious, similar to others in this chain. Reasonably close to tourist areas, bus to anthropology museum right outside hotel door.
A little bit too far down the 'wrong' end of Granville Road....beggars and homeless people right outside. No restaurant although there is a linking door to Morrissey's.
Muy caro para lo que realmente ofrece.
The staff were friendly and the room was well equipped with everything we needed. We had a Queen size room which we were told we had an upgrade to. Although the room and the bathroom was clean, there was a strong smell of cigarettes and stale food that lingered throughout our stay.
The decor is dated and terribly dark. This hotel needs a complete re-furbishment. We felt that the lack of an opening window in the bedroom would probably not comply with safety regulations and made us feel claustrophobic. It didn't help that the window looked out onto a brick wall. We would not return to this hotel.
- proximity - nice staff - generally clean
- elevator - small room - view
Comfortable bed Good location
Cleanliness in hallways (not vacuumed) Limited natural light in bedroom
The hotel manager was very nice.
A mouse in our room! Elevators and hallways smelled of urine! The whirlpool bath spouts were filled with bacterial goo. The carpets and sofa were filthy! No view
parking lot too small and difficult to park in, homeless people there did not feel safe, sketchy area older rooms/hotel not worth the money
Location, updated rooms, friendly staff
Location. Only thing good about this hotel is that it's walking distance close to the SkyTrain Station in Yaletown. Which made for a faster exit.
As soon as I approached the hotel, I was in shock. The lobby was filthy. The floor was littered with dirt and paper. There was a woman eating fries, sitting on the floor near the window facing the street . And behind the welcome desk looked completely trashed. Great first impression. The room smelt as if it had never been aired out. And it was full of flies. On the bright side, it was much cleaner than the lobby. But the air-conditioning didn't work. Which has great because the during our stay temperature remained steadily around 35 degrees.
They gave me an upgrade to a king room
The room I had overlooked a wall so not a great outlook.
Location not good, from a visitor not familiar with the area; needs brightening and was very gloomy, small lack of air rooms.
Rugs were old and smelled musty. Rooms were very small, had issues getting two suitcases in room. Not what we expected from a Ramada hotel; this simply hurts their overall image when booking a hotel the next time.
The room was really comfortable and quiet, which is not granted in this part of town. The hotel has a good location on Granville, one of the best streets for shopping, pubs and dinner, with easy transportation. The staff was really nice and helped us in lots of ways
It was a hotel room.
I tried to get a late check out, and asked 2 days before my departure. On the day of departure I had someone knock at the door who said I had to phone 0. I did this and the person on the other end of the phone accused me of shouting at him and he hung up. This was rude. I have a mobility problem and none of the staff would help me with anything.
big beds air conditioning was working fine hop on hop off very close
side to the street very noisy small bedrooms no refrigerator very slow elevator extra payment for parking
The hotel is centrally located. Yaletown, Gastown, etc is all within walking distance. When we checked in the front desk gave us breakfast vouchers to try the restaurant in the hotel. Great gesture.
Windows are not well insulated. Our room was facing any alley. My husband was kept up all night because some folks were partying at the adjacent building. Also there is no self park, you have to pay a daily fee for them to valet park.
proximity to buses and trains, restaurants, clean, very helpful friendly staff
slow wifi & elevators
The safe in the room
Beds were too small, couldn't log onto wi-fi, no breakfast, had to pay extra for parking, no fridge, carpet was lumpy, didn't like the pillows, and the rooms were too small. Overall a very poor experience for the amount of money it cost to stay there.
The room was clean and we had a larger than average bathroom.
At check in we had to wait ages as there was only one girl on the desk, this is fine if only the staff had acknowledged us and apologised but she didn't. This was one of the more expensive hotels we had chosen on our Canada trip and was one of the most disappointing. The room was tiny with no mirror in the room. We had to negotiate with each other to move around the room! It is defiantly at the more seedy end of the long road it is on. I guess it is a city centre hotel and perhaps they are all like this.
One of the more moderately priced hotels that we considered. Room was a decent sized suite,
Room was very oddly furnished (e.g. writing desk did not fit on the wall where it was placed and therefore stuck out several inches into the doorway between the two rooms. The entire room was pretty shabby.
