staff very helpful location comfortable bed top floor is preferred for quiet
Tired decor - needs updating
service price pub beds wifi location
room is smaller then i am used to for 2 beds..but other wise everything was great
Close to train to Richmond. Pacific Centre and the Bay just blocks away. Parking reasonable.Staff friendly
Big fat bulky pillows made it difficult to get comfortable.
I would recommend staying there to friends and family but if you are not looking to be around the bar scene you better book somewhere else it gets really noisy at midnight
WiFi connection was to slow
Nice people, the Natural... air, water, tree, mountains..
Rain, some prices..
They couldn't find my booking so they upgraded my regular room into a sweat no cost. Very nice.
We payed a lot of money for parking, expecting that our car would have been parked in the underground parkade. Instead it sat outside all night the first night. Then in the morning when we asked to have it moved they said they would. When we came back later that day it was still sitting outside. We also had quite a few bags between the three of us and they didn't at all offer to take them up for us. The cleaning lady was incredibly loud first thing in the morning right outside our door.
I liked that the staff were friendly. The conditions were out of their hands. However, upon arrival we were informed that the room we booked had "maintenance issues" and that we has actually been downgraded. To make up for the downgrade we were offered a free breakfast at the dive bar next door. The breakfast was was terrible, not to mention the uncleanly and undesirable environment. I feel that it is poor practice to attempt to make up for one bad experience with another. In my opinion the Ramada should not even be recommending that people even eat there never mind hand out breakfast vouchers. After settling into our room we then went on to find out that we had a view of the side of another building and a fire escape. I guess you really have to read the fine print when booking online. When I called down to the front desk to express my concerns, I was offered "free parking" rather than the usual $20.00 per night. Something I feel should be provided in the first place.
I work in the hotel industry and I always discourage guests from booking online to avoid these disappointing situations. I think that booking.com and the Ramada need to work together to find a more realistic approach at managing people expectations.
Rooms were clean add had all the necessities.
Hallways and elevator seem a bit outdated and it seems the front of the hotel has larger rooms than the back. I stayed on either end of a business trip and was in a much more spacious room during my first stay than the room in the back of the hotel on my second stay. However, rooms were clean and suited my needs well for the price.
rooms were good
paying for parking
Maybe I like it's because the hotel located near downtown.
I didn't like because our room has no ventilation then the rain from outside of our room it's leaked our clothes some of it are wet.but it's ok for us we understand this is the worse experience I ever had.
The location was excellent for an evening of fun in downtown Vancouver. And the staff were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, this is not a place to stay if you have a vehicle, let alone a truck. The parking, or lack there of is absolutely horrible, and barely managable for parking anything larger than a very small car.
Everything was great and suited my needs
i really liked the location for the business i was there on .. my mtg was down on Melville St... so the walk to and from was leisure..
i didnt like; the tv, and the central heating system..i was quite cold... and the bathroom fan was loud
Friendly staff, monitored parking room was small but clean and cozy, will definitely stay here again
Location, the Staff, Comfort, Cleaniness, over all great experience.
I liked the location with the bus stop right outside. The staff was great and the pub rustic and cool. I will stay again with a better room.
3 of us were staying then 1 backed out so we still had 2 People. I let them know we were not a couple. They gave us a very small room with 1 double bed and looking out at a brick wall. Bad start to a concert evening and too tight to change in the room :*(
the staff was great and helpful, good room and facilities, excellent location, good price! I would come back!
cleanliness polite staff
small room- floor boards squeaked and clunked- noise from rooms above-mould in sugar container
location, price, parking included in room rate, free wifi and friendly helpful staff
Any time I come to Vancouver for a quick get a way, I stay at this Ramada. The staff are knowledgeable and extremely friendly, and the hotel it's self is always spotless.
I do really like the king size bed and my spouse like the pillows hehehe:::its all convenience to us to walk downtown,by bus or skytrain,,
What we dont like is the staff who do the cleanning:bathroom is dirty, did'nt vaccum the carpet,&did'nt empty the transcan, but i guess they just forget only,if i brush my teeth i saw a dirt around the small hole in the sink''hope next time i wont notice those kind of::::::::::::
Wifi service was good
There was no water jar to drink water .. Had to go to washroom to fill the water in plastic bottle.. We were so tired so we didn't mind to do that .. But this shold improve
Room is tiny. Could touch all walls at once almost. Bad view from back of building
The people at the front desk were friendly, and its at a pretty good location for getting around the city.
There's a club right beneath the hotel, I could hear music going until 2am and I was on the fourth floor... I couldnt imagine what the first floor would be like. The walls are also paper thin, there was a group of people in the room next to mine and they were getting ready to go out and drink, putting on glowsticks and taking pictures of eachother. How do I know this? The walls are paper thin. We could hear them clearly through the walls. The room wasnt fully cleaned, the staff just made the beds but didnt clean the toothpaste out of our sink or basically do anything minus give us new towels and bedding. Also, no fridge and only basic cable.
