This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the historic waterfront of Halifax, which features shopping and dining. The hotel offers an indoor pool and rooms with a flat-screen TV.
Score from 172 reviews Very good
Positioned in the heart of Halifax city center on the Link walkway system, the Delta Barrington is perfectly located to explore all this historic city has to offer. A restaurant is featured on site.
Score from 299 reviews Very good
Situated just over half a mile from Dalhousie University, this Halifax hotel has an on-site restaurant. First-rate services and comfortable guest rooms are included.
Score from 311 reviews Excellent
Good view of the harbor. Walking distance to the dock to the civic center and a lot of great restaurants.
Loading and unloading area in front of the Hotel was limited.
Excellent location, nice staffs
A ventilation pipeline is just outside the room, it is noisy at night.
You need to do something about the parking situation. I did not like leaving my car in an open parking lot inside a chain link fence with an open gate protecting it. I would have had just as much security if I had parked my car on the street.
It was too expensive for what I got.
Room 801 had a view of the water and was very spacious. The location was 3 blocks to the waterfront and the ferry to Dartmouth. Lots of restaurants and activities. Excellent staff - very helpful and enjoyed everyone one of their recommendations. Nice happy hour in the bar with a delightful server.
I liked ever thing.
Quality and service
They need a toaster in the kitchen and it would be perfect
The view of the harbour from our window was very pleasing. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious with plenty of space for our washing kits. Plenty of storage and very nice to have a separate seating area. Within easy walking distance of many restaurants, the waterfront and other tourist attractions.
Could have placed a tissue box in the toilet as well. Only one was found in the kitchen. Nevertheless staff was very quick in responding to all my needs.,
In town, close to activities.
Ads suggest rooms with views. Its extra when you get there. We voiced disappointment, and were offered room with a view. It wasn't great, but it was next to construction next door. Nice try. Staff for rooms is typical, cheap labor, and it shows. Kitchen lacks towels etc. Won't stay there again.
Kitchen and fridge Location Modern look Nice view
Location.very helpful concierge. All staff friendly
They had otherwise noticed that there was no laundry detergent left to buy and I had to walk 10 blocks to go to a grocery store. Not what I wanted to do on my holiday
Location, front desk was extremely helpful, room was perfect!
The new decor, the sea view, the comfortable beds. Great staff!
The heat blasting in the restaurant. People actually walked out. Problems with the hot water in the rooms, either too hot or too cold. Staff were very helpful.
In the center of Halifax and easy to walk to everything
Whatever means I tried to put requests to the hotel, either via direct email to hotel or booking.com, none could be made through and no reply ever received. There is foundation and construction works right outside the hotel, it definitely wakes you up at 8am, so no need to set your alarm clock. We can tell the hotel can do nothing to control the noise as they put a sign at the reception to keep away from complaints, and this next door site work apparently may take years.
The room was very comfortable and homey. The bed linens were of high quality and the kitchen and bath areas nicely appointed. Decent view of the halifax harbour but might be obstructed when they complete the construction next door.
The facilities to check in and unload your bags are not good. There is very limited space to park your vehicle. I was blocking the street traffic and when a bus came had the cirlce the block twice while my husband checked in. The concierge was trying to keep up but it was chaotic.
Location, accommodations, etc. Wonderful room with suite, close to waterfront & within walking distance to many places downtown.
Unaware that we had to pay an extra fee for parking.
Very good cheerful service on places to go and things to see. Short walk to waterfront.
Poor parking outside entrance. We had to park on next block 300 metres away and carry our bags.
clean, large room, good location
Room Pool Restaurant
Extra unnecessary costs ie: ecco taxes, destination taxes etc. most annoying.
Beautiful well furnished, large room. Top quality amenities.
Expensive off-site parking ($18/day)
Did not like parking options. I am used to free parking when I stay at a hotel and to be faced with $19/day parking fee in a substandard lot was an unpleasant surprise.
Staff ,room size
Parking , late checkin
The room was lovely and spacious. King bed in bedroom was fabulous. Aaron was a pleasure to deal with. Valet was very quick.
Sofa bed was in very poor shape. All springs. We requested a mattress pad but the hotel didn't have any. They did bring us a king duvet which we folded over to improve the mattress experience
Great room, great view, staff were extremely helpful with all our requests.
