The food there is delicious and prices are reasonable!
food was good
Noise. From other guests was a bit excessive
Very easy to find, when we got there there was a slight mixup with the dates so they gave us an upgrade which was very much appreciated. The room was spacious and well equipped, bed ws extremely comfortable. Breakfast was nice but had just one option of an american style fry up, some variety in the menu is nice for people on an extended stay - the Cora restaurant around the corner is an excellent alternative (we found directions to this in the hotel room booklet). Nice area, cinema and huge supermarket within 5 mins walk, and only a 10-15 min walk from the Eaton centre.
The air conditioning/ heating unit was extremely noisy - im not sure if this is the norm for this kind of thing as we dont have it in Ireland. The wifi didnt work when sitting in our bed, we had to move into the sitting room to use it, so perhaps a signal extender would be a good idea. However, these things were minor, and didnt take away from the fact that we had an extremely pleasant stay.
Very clean and very comfortable beds!
Bar closed very early and there was no fridge in the room.
The bedroom wasnt clean, with one sock and a lipstick under the bed. They didnt change the sheets. The bed was with hair and sheets from the another guest. I´ll never stay in this hotel again.
we paid the parking cost even though we have no car with us.
The front desk staff was pretty spot on with help around town. The wiFi was excellent; very important if you forgot to update your cell coverage for CA. The dry and the wet sauna were very well maintained and awesome. The pool and hot tub were decent; both had water levels that were very low (you could see the lines on the inside walls) so the chlorine was a bit high, but still comfortable. I would also highly recommend Lou Dawgs around the corner from the hotel. Good food and the bartender Justin is a riot and very helpful with local things to do.
The restaurant was a huge disappointment. Both times we tried to go to breakfast were fails. The first time, they locked up the doors a half hour before close. The second time (arriving much earlier this time) The server told us we could set there for over an hour until close and never have food due to their room service requests and current seated tables (all of five). The walls are also very thin, so you can hear everything going on. The second night of our stay, we had to call the front desk to complain about the room across from us partying VERY loudly (about 1:30am). I can still hear one of the girls incessant hyena laughs. They even had their door propped waiting for other arrivals! It took the desk over a half hour to come up and speak to them, but when they finally did the room shut up.
the location was great and the room was good for the dollar value
people hanging around outside of the hotel asking for money my wife was approach by a man outside of the hotel at around 10:30 after getting back from a hockey game she got a good scare and did not feel safe in this area.
Great location, friendly front staff. We had a great room with a divided bedroom and sitting room with tv. Quiet room.
There was no vending machine and the ceiling low in shower. Things could have been cleaned better like light switches on lamps, front of bathroom vanity, remote for tv.
We were upgraded to a suite at no cost! Room was very nice. short walking distance Young St
Close to local attractions.
Paying extra for parking of my vehicle.
quiet room location
street access a bit difficult , limited menu of the restaurant,
This is a very quiet Hotel even when its busy. It is starting to show a lack of staff attention to detail but a good willingness to correct faults.
Elevator was broke on stay and room could have been cleaner.
Within walking distance of stores/restaurants
Front desk very helpful . . . with directions in town, storing luggage for the day after check out, and a friendly greeting as I entered or exited from the hotel.
The sauna / steamroom area ended up being a little crowded . . . maybe it's not always that busy?
Cleaning staff left dishes in front of our door then entire two days we were there.
Overall the staff was fairly friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean.
I had reserved a kind bed room and they tried to put my husband and I in two double beds instead. The whole stay cost us about $175 for hotel and parking which is way above what I would pay for a hotel of this caliber elsewhere.
Well-kept, older building with great staff and doing the absolute best it can given the neighborhood and the competition.
In a perfect world, I would have liked a better on-site restaurant. Otherwise, there was nothing not to like.
The suite that I stayed in suited our needs for one night.
The hotel had a particularly bad odor through the hotel. As well the check in staff didn't provide vouchers for the prepaid breakfast during check in. And previously unknown to us when we did have breakfast we were limited in our choice by dollar value.
the gym is a joke
Expensive parking lot
helpful staff, very comfortable bed, just a nice hotel
The overall stay was a great choice.
I don't think there was much not to like. Except the restaurant needs to carry French dressing.lol
Location and facilities.
Absolutely nothing, not even a cup of coffee, is included in the price of the room. Helpfulness of the desk staff was "so-so".
