Red Fox Acres is located in a beautiful setting less than 15 min from the heart of Stratford. We loved the peaceful surroundings, charming hosts and excellent breakfasts. You do need a car to stay here...but the drive into Stratford for theatre and dinner is easy.
My husband, parents, and I stayed at the Red Fox Acres B&B when we came up to Stratford for the Festival. The B&B was the perfect retreat from our busy lives. Our hosts Maida and Ian were wonderful. Maida's breakfasts are terrific and huge! The B&B is clean and gorgeous--the rooms newly remodeled. We very highly recommend and will absolutely stay here again when we next come for the Festival.
The nice welcome that Maida gave us. The room was clean, cool and perfect for us. Removed from the main road just the right distance to be quiet. Breakfast was delicious, served with great care for our dietary requests.
No significant dislikes.
Warm at night and king bed preferred.
The country setting, away from the tourist bustle of Stratford. The friendly and informative owner. The most delicious breakfast of anywhere we've stayed. The comfort of the room and bathroom. Everything possible was provided for our enjoyment. We'll be back
We loved our room and the quiet setting. Our hosts were most welcoming. The fire pit outside was great to sit at and see the stars. Breakfast was wonderful and we will look forward to visiting again.
The trail was muddy in spots and we couldn't find the right one to be able to circumnavigate the property.
the place was fantastic, lots of good architectural features, good trails for walking quiet, wonderful breakfast, very satisfying the hosts were friendly great room
the bed was a bit hard, but room was fantastic
The yard was a peaceful area to roam in the morning. The food was excellent The hosts were attentive, hospitable, and most accommodating The home was charming
We couldn't find the home in the dark. Roads were not labelled according to Mapquest and Google. Store clerks in Tavistock did not know the name of the roads and the location of the B&B. We mentioned this to our hosts and they said it had happened to others. They were going to leave maps and directions at the gas station and pizza shop for future guests. The cost was high compared to other B&Bs

Room was spacious and linens were luxurious. Very friendly and informative hostess. Several walking trails on property and excellent unique and tasty breakfast from locally grown and produce and meats. Fresh and beautiful blueberry lemon scones, homemade quinoa poppyseed bread and jams and chutney. Mmmmmmmm!
My husband is very tall and the East suite had a sloped ceiling that mad it impossible for him to stand on the side of the the bathroom that had sink and mirror...had to get on his knees to shave in order to see in the mirror! He's 6'5".
Hostess and host were extremely friendly but not over the top. The breakfasts were fresh, using local products and well presented. It is within 10 minutes of Stratford and a lovely retreat.
The location was fabulous, the food was fresh and locally grown. The design was beautiful and it was very peaceful, friendly and relaxing.
There was not a thing I didn't like and I will be back.
