We (a group of 4) have arrived at 8pm and were received by a lady who was after a couple of drinks and we were told that a property with kitchen facilities (as we requested) was let for a summer although our booking was made early February! Not only we didn't get what we had booked but also were offered some rooms without facilities expected which needed to be get ready at 8pm in the evening, The lady made an offer to cancel our booking at 8pm free of charge (!) which was outrageous as it was clear breach of our expectations and a purpose of pre-booking so early in February. So obviously, the owner of the place deliberately ignored our booking, let the property for a summer and didn't notify us even though the fact of the reservation was made known to them (as the circumstances revealed). We were very disappointed to experience this situation because we didn't get a proper apology from the owner. Furthermore, we ended up in the hotel nearby, paying extra $40, which we would like to get refunded as a compensation of the inconvenience and discomfort caused and a distraction of our holiday; didn't have separate rooms, got our rest disturbed and our enjoyment of a trip was clearly damaged. We would like to draw booking.com attention to this incident in order to avoid such misfortunes in the future.
