The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was nice and testy. The location was good and it was a walking distance from all the main attractions.
The bed was comfort but it makes noise every time we move. In front the hotel are road constructions. It was a surprise for us. We stay there at the weekend so it didn't disturbed us too much but I think the hotel should inform the guess before hey arrive.
Nice location, a short walk into the old city. Great breakfast included.
Bedside table and lamp only one side of the bed, towels were thin and only one large one each. No coffee maker in the room.
Nice area. Very nice large room.
WiFi signal was weak in my room.
The location was good, close to the old city. breakfast was ok, it includes a plate of fruit and a menu to choose from (you can choose multiple things, too bad this was not mentioned). Wifi was good
There was a lot of noise from the road work outside (starting at 7am). Also, the hotel wasn't reachable by car because of the road work. It would have been nice if the staff had informed us about this beforehand, because we spent more than 30 minutes driving around. Also, the staff doesn't speak a lot of English.
$10 breakfast became $16 with tip, tax and service charge. Stuffy, tiny room
The whole hotel was very nice, with a special atmosphere that we loved! We were very happy with the services provided by your employee, Emeraude, who took care of us from the moment we came in and until we left. She did the check-in procedure fast and very polite, helped us with the parking (difficult due to street closure), explained the "house rules", and gave us useful information about getting to the old city. Also she ensured we had a very pleasant breakfast experience next day! Very nice personality, great client service! Many thanks to her! Also thanks to the person preparing the room - very clean and tidy. Viorica
Not much at this time - see next paragraph
At This time - street under construction; very difficult to drive to. Power failure - from midnight to check out at 11:00am. No compensation for a cold breakfast and bathing with a flash light!!!! No elevator - no bus boy to help with luggage.
Friendly and efficient staff, very quiet room (including noiseless air conditioning and heating), convenient location to walk to major attractions (downtown, citadel, etc.), excellent breakfast (going far beyond what the "continental breakfast" indicates) in a nice breakfast room. The staff handled well the problems caused by the extensive road construction and wide-spread half day power outage.
Perhaps a bit wider bed should be put in the room. The room was large enough to accommodate it.
stairs-if you have trouble with stairs, request the 1st floor
Location could not be faulted. Within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants, the Old Quarter, the Plains of Abraham and the Musee des Beaux Arts.
Had to drag luggage up very steep staircase to get to our room.
location so close to old quebec. breakfast was excellent, everything had that new feel, obviously a lot of renovations were done. Bedroom very comfortable.
I guess the down side was the wi fi connection which was poor.
breakfast and room- set up and cleanliness
Pretty hotel with small but cosy room. Wonderful breakfast served by polite staff.
No coffee machine and the bed was a little too hard.
The room was very comfortable and absolutely adoreable! Loved my stay here and would come back. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, breakfast was great!
The only real pain was the construction in the general area due to the upgrades of the sewer systems...which really cant be helped.
Location - walking distance to the old town, close to a lot of restaurants and bars
When booking, I asked for soy milk for breakfast. I was told that's impossible and indeed, they didn't have any. That's beyond ridiculous considering it's easily available. You need to choose time for breakfast, as room is limited. As it's not a buffet, it takes a really long time to get your food (breakfast staff not to blame, though, just the organization) This is not the hotel's fault, but nevertheless a disadvantage - major works in front of the hotel. So difficult to find on arrival and then the noise starts at 7 am
location and service provided by the staff
construction zone on Grand Allee blvd...out of the control of the hotel
This was a really good base in the city. Friendly ,professional and helpful staff. Room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend and return
Steep stairs with no elevator. Unfortunately there was a lot of construction next to the hotel so sleeping was disturbed but this was not the fault of the hotel
Very friendly and professional staff. Many local restaurant menu's were available at the front desk. The location was great and we could walk or bike everywhere.
The construction right outside of the hotel. It is not a problem for noise, just for getting to the hotel.
Location was the best--close to everything
Great location. Great room.
I have to confirm the positive reviews that I read about this hotel before choosing. Position, cleaness and staff are the strong points.
location and style
room size too small and lots of steps to get to room
Really loved the location which is nearly on the Plains of Abraham park. Really lovely to walk in the morning or to run. Loved the access to Cartier street and the great restaurants, coffee, etc. Felt like the value was really good overall. We chose it for the proximity to old town, the PRICE, the onsite parking and the prior reviews. Wonderfully clean! We were pleased.
Wi-if was really poor in our room, bordering on nonexistent (no. 9). That is just too easy to fix in my opinion. No small hotel should have poor wi-if in this tech dependent climate. I loved the breakfast, but didn't love the time slot choices. We chose one of the latest times to avoid having to be up and presentable to early but woke up early anyway and felt like we needed to kill time to wait for our breakfast slot. In hindsight, we should have just left the hotel early and gone to Old Town somewhere for a quick coffee and bread. So, the breakfast was really lovely, but it wasn't a real value to us this trip. The only other bit that was a slight bother was theT.V. Stand doors would not stay open and this meant that you could not watch from the bed. I think that this was just an issue for our room probably because I haven't seen it mentioned by anyone else. This could be fixed by a simple room arrangement. I also agree with others that have mentioned the tight stair arrangement. I purposely packed a smaller bag because of reviews on here and was glad I did. We had no problems with it, but we are younger and work out regularly. Could be a caution though.
