The location of the hotel beside Lake Muskoka was idyllic. There was no restaurant at the hotel (apart from breakfast facilities), but some excellent restaurants are within easy walking distance.

- Our suite (523) was fabulous: nicely designed, balcony with lake view, well provisioned. - we enjoyed the walks out to each gazebo and through the neighbouring side streets (the grounds were still too boggy and muddy for actual hiking.) - nice breakfast selections - staff were able to accommodate early check-in request. - Limited choice of eateries; - too many kids in the pool; - Norman Bethune museum closed;

We arrived and got our room quickly, the rooms were big and beautiful. A cot was waiting for my 14 months girl, there was a fully equipped kitchen and any thing we needed we asked from the staff and received immediately even though the hotel was fully booked for Easter. We enjoyed our stay and so does my parents that accompany us. Breakfast can use some vegetables.

The room, the linens were all excellent. The view from our room. I think it was 323, did not expect much but it was only a roof out the window.

We loved the warm reception we got at the front desk when we checked in, we asked questions about places to eat, we were provided with lots of information. The lady checking us in did not leave anything out, she pointed out things to do at the Hotel, when and where breakfast was, she gave us a King sized studio with a lake view, we loved it, we loved it, we loved all of it. I am coming back in the summer with my daughter cause we loved it so much, and I am hoping to stay here again and get a studio with a lake view. There wasn't anything to not like, the entire experience was totally awesome. Thanks very much.

NOTE: you need to change the words in the question above: most of them are nouns and not adjectives; thus, when you ask me to "describe" the Residence Inn, I cannot put down an answer (ie. saying the Marriot Inn is "backpackers" doesn't make any sense). I liked the decor and the cleanliness of this hotel--our room was exceptionally clean and I hope house-keeping is recognized for this. The shower pressure is awesome. It was also a great location--both near to the town centre and overlooking the lake. It was very quiet at night. I liked the kitchenette and the balcony with the Muskoka chairs. Good job getting some ducks to swim in front of the hotel on Sunday morning. The pull-out couch wasn't very comfortable although the main bed was very comfortable. The pull-out should also have its own comforter or an extra blanket beyond the thin one provided. By the time we went to bed, we were too tired to call down for extra bedding. Breakfast was described as a buffet, but I would really call it a continental so that you could surprise people with more to offer (as a side note, Best Westerns offer basically the same breakfast, but they call it a continental...so you are delighted when you get "more" than you what you were expecting--it's all psychological you know). Unfortunately, nowadays, the connotation of the work "buffet" is Mandarin or something excessive like that. You are clearly the choice hotel in town. I'm glad you are there. Maybe you could have some trail/walking maps at the front desk for future guests (maybe you do...we actually didn't ask for one). Also, consider having churches/services listed in your local business guide; we called down to the office about this. Sorry, I put that above.

I thought it was lovely. I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite and it was really nice. The bed was very comfortable, I loved the gas fireplace and I enjoyed a swim and whirlpool in the morning. Breakfast was good too. I will definitely stay here again when I'm back in the area. I thought it was excellent for the price. There really wasn't anything I didn't like.

King Studio with Lake View was a beautiful large room. Very clean, friendly staff, good hot breakfast. If all Residence Inns are this nice then you can't go wrong.

The setting is wonderful the colours of the trees fantastic, The close proximity of the other establishments on Muskoka Wharf a huge bonus with fine dining and of course the RMS Shegwin. The only disappointment which I understand is an attempt to be Eco friendly was the use plastic knives and forks with paper plates.

Great for a young family - we took a mini-suite with a king bed and a sofa bed, which also had a kitchenette so we had the option of cooking in our room if the kids were too tired to go out. And there was a decent- sized pool for the day it rained. The breakfast buffet was uninspiring but it filled a hole for a few hours. The beautiful scenery around Lake Muskoka was lost on our two (aged 5 and 2) but there are a couple of beaches near Gravenhurst which kept them occupied. Also it's very close to Santa's Village, which they loved. Breakfast.
