Nice big room.
Hotel Parking lot was full, had to park 3 blocks away.
Fantastic location, large rooms and great value for your money.
Close to waterfront, restaurants, and Citadel. Friendly staff
Street noise at 3am
We had a quiet room set back from street but still with a harbour view. Self parking is great option and easy to get in and out of.
Slow wifi (the free version)
Loved this hotel- great staff- very friendly and helpful. They found out we were there on our honeymoon just a few days before our arrival and left us a basket with goodies and a hand-written card with their congratulations and good wishes. The room was beautiful, clean, VERY spacious and had a great kitchen facility (which we didn't use due to our short stay). BUT... and a big but it is, it was extremely loud! Loud from the pub across the street that blast music from outdoor speakers well into the night- and from surrounding pubs that seem to do the same in their competition with each other. In fact, as we were there- I decided at 1am on the 2nd night of not being able to sleep due to loud music and boisterous noise from pub patrons, that the hotel should not only move us to a quieter room, but should call the police. They did move us, but to another side of the hotel where there was even MORE sound from outdoor speakers- apparently the pub had been given a permit to blast their music on their roof-top party well past 3 am. It was more like 4am that things finally quieted down. The hotel apparently called the police due to other complaints from their hotel guests 4 times! The police didn't or couldn't do anything to help the problem. I would therefore not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant stay. If your a pub crawler, then go for it!

All was very good: cleanliness, comfort, location very close to the sea, the citadel, the park and the city center.
Fantastic location to explore Halifax, store the car in the underground parking and walk everywhere.
Not the hotels fault, but be aware there is a lot of construction going on in Halifax - and it starts early!
The location was good. Halifax is built on a hill and this hotel is halfway between the harbor and the Citadel, the highest point. It is close to restaurants and bars. Breakfast was great and the room and bed were very comfortable.
The room is large, with a kitchenette area and a large bathroom/closet space. It is quiet, clean, warm and lovely. The wifi is fast and reliable.
Lots of construction in neighborhood.
STREET NOISE BUT THEY OFFER FANS AND WHITE NOISE
Everything was to our liking from the very friendly staff the nice breakfast parking and a coin laundry a perfect stay
Spacious rooms, good location close to waterfront, staff were super cool.
The breakfast was gross.
Location was excellent for on-foot access to all parts of downtown Halifax. Staff were cheerful and provided excellent service.
Music and crowd noise from local bars and restaurants was excessive during the night.
Superb suite as usual from this chain. The central location is good but can be noisy. Breakfast was very good.
We asked for an upper quiet room but not having stayed here before we didn't realise how noisy it would get in the lower floor room we had once the bars closed in the early hours of Sunday and many hang out in the street at the back of the hotel. Would only stay here again if the hotel could guarantee an upper room.
There was no spa and steam or whirlpool area which was disappointing
We have stayed at the Residence several times and keep coming back! The location is awesome, the suites are spacious and include a kitchenette. We enjoy the breakfast buffet every morning as well as the fitness room.
Paying for parking $19 A 129.00 room as advertised on Booking.com came to 179.00
The breakfast in the morning was not very good. Food was cold and some things stale. Cold coffee and tea also. More effort to keep things hot and fresh would be great.
Very pleasant hotel all areas seemed really clean and comfortable
Bathroom layout struck me as very odd with the vanity unit outside the bathroom in the bedroom area and was slightly disappointed that even very early the hot breakfast items were only luke warm other than that very nice
Great location. Within walking distance to so many venues -- Neptune Theatre, Metro Centre and lots of restaurants. Loved the kitchenette and the breakfast buffet too.
The bed was not very comfortable.
