Comfortable bed, fairly quiet, congenial check in.

No comfy chair to use to watch what turned out to be a good movie.

the price was wonderful

we were told the unit had a micro-wave which it did not. there was not even a kettle to get hot water for tea. There was no central heating only an elcetric portible heater. We were overall not very happy about it at all & will not go back there.

Very quiet, bed was comfortable, the shower had lots of hot water, everything worked, and there was a fridge to store some snacks.

The motel was on the main street but I asked for a quiet room and they gave me one. The motel is old and looks a bit run down, but the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Good value for the price.

Excellent value, very clean, owner was very accommodating and when she realized my Mom had a limp she changed our room to ground floor. Quiet and comfortable room.

There was a strong unpleasant odor in the room (like mold). Though it was budget friendly, it was Very bare bones. No hair dryer, iron/board, extra pillows.. absolutely no extras

I found the staff to be friendly and the location was good.

The first room I was shown was totally unacceptable. The maintenance was substandard, the bath was painted with a green latex paint that was lifting and the overall appearance was shabby. The second room was better but the same maintenance issues were observed. The heating was supplied by a portable oil filled electric heating unit that had the ground plug missing. Previous repairs to the roof left a patchwork of textures and the door was improperly fitted with large gaps along the side and bottom. This motel needs major upgrading to bring it up to basic standards.

Budget friendly, short walk to restaurants

Room was cold when we returned to it in the late afternoon.

The front desk fellow was very accommodating in refunding my money; the place was so moldy that I couldn't breath in the room. The room was also quite dirty, so I opted for a more upscale hotel.

It smelled of mould & was filthy.

The only really good things about this motel are the location - right on the edge of 'downtown' Courtenay, and the price, about $20 below the going rate for this type of accomodation.

This motel is an example of amenities cut to the bone! No breakfast, no vending machines. (Although there was WIFI) Office closes around 10pm and opens around 8am. It is something out of the 50's or 60's! Too old-fashioned for an upgrade - demolition would be the better option.

Advertised they had air conditioning but didn't, and windows did not have screens. No TV in 2nd bedroom.

We were very comfortable there and the staff were more than helpful and pleasant. We would definitely return.

This motel is conveniently located and reasonably priced. We had a kitchenette and even an extra unexpected bedroom - 5 people could have been accommodated comfortably. The staff was courteous, and both check-in and check-out took place smoothly and efficiently. The premises were very clean and the secure wifi worked without any problem. Highly recommended!

No fan in bathroom.Just one window, no draft and hot in the summer. Hairs on floor, not ours. No chain lock on door, broken. Paint bubbling in bathroom too. Nice owners. Clean sheets mattress old.

Had to shuttle between Comox and Cumberland with activity in Coutney so location was as close to perfect as one could get. Accommodation was basic but adequate and very clean.

I really liked the service I received. The front desk/owner, John, was awesome. Eager to please, help and service. The rooms were very clean, although quite tired. The day before I left, John was hanging beautiful flower baskets. I can tell they're trying hard to improve the amenities. I was there a week and at the end of a long day at the theatre, I looked forward to coming back to my clean room and comfortable bed! Great value and service - thank you, John!!

It's a tired hotel...I had starlings nesting above the bathroom window and because I was on the second floor, there was bird poop all over the window. Also, the temperature of the water in the bath/shower was unstable; I either had a cold shower or a scalding shower. I resorted to having baths instead.
