Excellent Location Spacious room, almost too large Kind of retro as in returning to the 50's, 60's. Pleasant helpful staff
Restaurant in the hotel
we were met by very friendly staff who gave us advice on sights to see and how to use the public transport. Room was spacious and very clean with tea making facilities and nice cookies. Breakfast was served by a very helpful lady..Menu to suit every body . Hotel had a nice rest room , games room and a laundry room. we had a really wonderful stay. Hotels location was brilliant. Thank you to all the staff.
That I had to leave it !!!!!
I like the old feel of this hotel
Top drawer overall
A wee bit dated in décor
Upgraded to one bedroom suite on arrival by staff Room was large Kitchen came in handy Staff was friendly Walkable distance To restaurants and activities
There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel
Everything about this hotel demonstrated quality - the room was beautiful and comfortable and the staff gave excellent service. Being an older person, I found that having the shuttle service to help get around the immediate vicinity was a great benefit.
There was nothing about this hotel that I didn't like.
you are too good we couldn't return again on the dates we wanted because you were full.
Location, very quiet, late check out
No a/c during the hottest summer on record. There was a silver fish bug in our bathroom...
Location is great.Away from the noise of the waterfront but so close to enjoy everything within a short walk. Love the comfort and spce of the separate bedroom apartments. All the amentities in a solid comfortable environment.
Parking seems a bit pricey particularly if you have an extended stay.
all round good experience, staff fine and close to all amenities
Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were well maintained and close to down town and the harbour.
The pool, the sauna, the hot tub, the room, the courtesy drop off and pick up, the location, the door knockers, the friendly staff, the service.
The menu, sometimes you just got to have a burger for dinner...
Very spacious. Great location. Lots of parking.
No air conditioning.
quiet ,good food.location
Location can hardly be better, the building is newer yet holds some character. Staff was always responsive and polite. We had never been there before yet were upgraded on a busy weekend. I have stayed at close to 20 different establishments and this one will get my repeat business.
I couldn't stay longer.
Perfect location. Nice studios fully equipped.
The cleanliness of the whole resort, the location, the friendly and helpful staff.
The gym is too small. The restaurant is average. The daily parking charge is a bit expensive.
Old charm. Very welcoming and patient staff. They has a shuttle service that picks you up from the nearby bus station. You can use the service for most of the day within 10 blocks. But the location is so handy that you can walk to so many main attractions of Victoria.
Nothing that I can think of.
location, pool, hot tub. sauna
Location and staff were great. Very accommodating. The rooms may be dated but they were clean and had what you needed. The restaurant was surprisingly good and the staff even better. Very enjoyable stay.
Room was a little crowded due to the odd layout.
Restaurant on site and small gift shop to buy items for breakfast and drinks was a bonus. Very obliging staff. Quite location.
Rather expensive compared to a 2 brm apartment in Vancouver. One person slept on fold out couch in middle of living room but was still more expensive.
We were upgraded to a suite which worked out wonderfully for the 5 beautiful days we stayed! We were able to shop for food and libations just up the street and also make breakfast at a leisurely pace each morning. We also used the hotel shuttle often for dinner outings.
Very clean, staff friendly. Our room got upgraded to 1 Bdrm Suite without asking! So we were very comfortable. Although we didn't use the kitchenette for cooking meals, we could make coffee in am without getting dressed. Refrigerator made it handy to keep, water, fruit and snacks. Laundry room was a great bonus and was clean and machines all worked. We had Brkfst on last morning, which was excellent, and waitress was was funny and worked very hard to serve us and all the other last minute customers. We noticed lots of "Tauk Tour" buses parked on the street. This is a high end tour company, so if they have their guests staying here, then you are in good company. Lots of restaurants you can walk to near by. Not far from Fisherman's Warf. Hotel across the street has live music, Jaz, some nights.
No AC. We're from the Northeast and as soon as any humidity rolls in we are used to turning on the 'ole AC. We were there end of June and it was just beginning to get warm. A friend told us to ask for a room on 2nd floor because 1st floor windows don't open. We had patio doors to open on the 2nd floor and fans were provided so sleeping was good. Coffee wasn't hot in the restaurant, but I think it's the carafes they keep it in. Waitress immediately got a new pot of coffee for us when we mentioned it.
Location, staff, gift store
Hotel rooms are quite dated.
I loved this place from the photos on their website and it lived up to expectation. Located centrally just a half block from the Parliament Buildings, the street was quiet yet provided quick and easy access to the parts of Victoria we visited. Check-in was efficient and the reception staff were always helpful and polite. We had upgraded to a one bedroom suite and it offered a spacious king bedroom and lovely living area with comfortable, fold out sofa bed. The suite also had a small kitchette and dining area. Bathroom was clean and had a huge vanity area - plenty of space for the toiletries for three adults! The hotel had a coin operated laundry (using Canadian dollars) in the basement which was most convenient. It also had a pool and recreation rooms which were well equipped, though we didn't utilise these. The shuttle offered by the hotel was convenient. We loved the Royal Scot Hotel and will definitely stay again.
