Beautiful hotel with an amazing view of Niagra Falls
There was nothing I disliked
the central location and the view
room was very dated and also the extra costings added on to parking bill
It is an easy to reach, very well situated hotel with a nice swimming pool and friendl staff
Rm, was excellent & the view was exvellent.
The dinner was fair!! Prime rib was not done to order. Dinner was cool. Waitress very good.
The view was spectacular. Big room.
The surprise of the $25 charge for parking and the "PF" charge. No free WIFI. Rooms on higher floors do not have any window to open. If you like fresh air book room on 20th or lower floor. (Also good view to Niagara).
fabulous location, falls view site room, breathtaking view,
extra cost for WiFi, no breakfast included
The falls, parks, and the surroundings towns absolutely beautiful
THE HOTEL STAY !!! First day, after driving seven hours and getting situated at the hotel. All we wanted to do is get cleaned up and get something to eat. My wife went to use the whirlpool in the room and it still had someones body hair and their soap stains all over the tub. We called down to the front desk and asked for them to send someone up to clean up the tub, which they did. But not as clean as you would like. So my wife went to get supplies and cleaned it so she could use it. After all that, hot water handle poured out water. At the same time I went to use the shower. I ran the shower for about two mins and the shower drain was baking up and had to stop using it. We went down stairs to speak with someone before going out to eat but the line was very long so we decided talk to them in the morning. We let them know about our problems and they said they would take car of them. Day two, got back to the hotel and they moved us to a new room on the 18th floor. The size room that my reservation stated at booking, Two adults and Two children. The room was a lot bigger. According to my booking paper I should of had that size room in the first place. We were happy with the up-grade and wanted to make the best of our vacation. That night about 3:00 am in the morning the fire alarm went off and elevators went to the lobby. People wanted to get out of the hotel down the star case, a lot of people. (They should have had some of their staff in the stair case to help guide and direct people) opinion. Day Three, Went to bed that night after having a great day driving and shopping down River Rd. At 2:00 am the heating unit started to make loud noises when it came on, about every 15 min or so. That early morning we decided to check out of the hotel in the morning, and cut our vacation short. We packed our stuff, picked up and went to the front desk to check out at around 7:00 am. Informing the desk clerk why we didn't want to stay in that hotel anymore.
Everything was amazing. My lady and I came there for our 3 year anniversary and it was amazing. The hotel is location right in front of there falls. The view was amazing. We were on the 11th floor with the fallsview which made it amazing to look at day and night.I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO GO TO THE FALLS and stay at Niagara Falls Marriott Gateway on the Falls.
Everything was perfect
The view was excellent..
Elevators were slow
cost of parking.
The view. You couldn't fault the view, it was spectacular. But that's where the positives end.
We had booked (and paidextra for!)a suite because we were travelling with two older kids, but when we arrived we were directed to a standard sized (at best) room with a queen bed and a sofa (which converted to a bed). In order to convert the sofa to a bed, we had to move the furniture it was so cramped. To make things worse, their was a huge window dividing the bathroom and sleeping area rather than a wall. Lovely, I'm sure, for the honeymooning couple but not ideal for a family of four. We explained our situation to the staff, and reminded them that we had specifically put in the comments we wanted a two-room suite but where told that they never read the comments. I also pointed out that they were given the age of our children which surely would have alerted them to the fact that this room was inappropriate in so many ways. They offered us no alternative apart from to down grade room for more money. Not helpful at all. We got the distinct impression that they were busy and so didn't care about our predicament. Very disappointing from a Marriot which has always been our brand of choice. Also, tried to use Starbucks in the lobby twice. Gave up once because of incredibly slow service and the second time because of lack of stock.
The room was nice - had a spectacular view of the falls. The breakfast was ok - decent selection of stuff.
There are two Marriott hotels within close distance. I had travelled 8 hours in the car and arrived at the wrong hotel. I told the valet I didn't know which Hotel I was meant to be at - so he took my keys and car and told me to go to reception. When I went to reception I was informed that I was in the wrong hotel. I then had to wait another 20 minutes to get my car back, before driving across the street to the other hotel. When I finally arrived at the correct hotel, I did the same again and left my keys with the valet (at least I thought it was the valet). I went out to explore the area and came back 4 hours later to find my car sat outside the hotel with the keys in the ignition. Nobody seemed to have a clue what was going on. To top it off - the air conditioning in the room was incredibly noisy and woke me up persistently throughout the night. Swimming pool and hot tub are not up to scratch for a 4 star hotel either. All in all - not a great experience - poor staff and generally overpriced.
Asked for two cribs - delivered immediately
-asked for a falls room view. They were sold out. On a Tuesday. Highly unlikely there wasn't a single fallsview room. - when we arrived they said we weren't suppose to check in until the following day. Had to provide my email confirmation in order to get my room. Not impressed
computer problems in effect at our arrival - clear communication to everyone waiting to be checked in & frequent updates. Staff was polite. View was nice & tub a nice feature.
Front desk clerk was not familiar with the Marriot gift cards program & we were not able to use it. Now i need to pursue returning the card for a credit because we have no immediate plans of staying at a Marriott & not all staff/locations familiar with card - don't need another headache like that again. Sep pool for families/young children and adults would be a nice option & better value for $$$ needed. Bigger & brighter shower area in room needed.
Excellent location within walking distance to everything. The view from our room was amazing! We were given an upgrade to a private suite with gorgeous views of the falls. Staff courteous and helpful
Nothing really. The only thing they needed was extra staff in the restaurant and at Starbucks.
Waking up to that View and hearing the Falls.
Great view, window actually opened so you could hear the roar of the falls. Comfy bed.
$25 charge for parking. Internet free only in lobby
We had a very good time. The staff was nice. We love the hotel and the food was excellent.
I liked everything about the hotel, modern, clean, staff was very nice, the view was amazing and our room had a terrace which surprised me because it didn't say that when I booked the room.
There was a huge spider in my room. I hate spiders.
Breakfast not included
Excellent view of Niagara fall from my suit. Overall loved the stay.
Lunch buffet not worth.
