+ Best Host ever + Comfortable
- At the time I stayed there, there was a huge building lot which made sleeping a bit difficult at that time
Clean, quiet, comfortable and cozy. Felt like home away from home, with a little bit of luxury thrown in via the way of some gorgeous spa products. The owner Rocy was kind, generous and a good laugh. I loved my stay there and would definitely stay again, can't recommend it highly enough!
This is not a typical hostel. You're never treated so warm and lovely than in that hostel. Homemade breakfast&dinner an you an chat with the staff for ages :D
After reading all the good comments I really thought I would like it. Overall this hostel is really just fair for the price.
I had an incredible stay at Sage Wellness, my only regret being that it was just one night. The owner is super accommodating, kind and funny, and constantly went above and beyond even in my short stay. So much thought has gone into everything about the place, so from toiletries to travel tips there is everything to make it as comfortable as possible. Undoubtedly one of my favourite hostel experiences ever.
Roxie- she runs and defines this place, it's warm and smells really good and really brightly coloured. -wonderfully hospitable I didn't feel alone or detached from the others in the house, as i usually do when i go to bigger more commercial places. definitely will be returning~~~
hmmm, i guess i woud've like the option to not leave the hostel from 11-3, but i understand why that's a thing...
i was a bed for a night.
the $50.00 in cash key charge. i had to go to the bank and withdraw money as i don't carry that much cash. there were 5 beds, 2 bunks and 1 mattress on the floor in a 10 X10 room. i didn't use the shower but it sure didn't look like a power shower. i took my own towels but showered at the therapy centre i was attending. the breakfast was some kind of a wrapped bar, 1/2 fried apple1/2 peach and tea. Roxy's mother was there until 10pm and then left. i never saw Roxy until the next morning. Eglington Ave is under construction and its very dirty and noisy, the parking is 3 blocks away in a public parking lot. it was clean but i wouldn't go back again as its not a wellness B & B or spa.
Roxie (the host) was wonderful and she really made me feel like home. I chose Sage Wellness because it was all females, and I definitely felt safe and warm here. Her breakfast is fantastic! She does a vegetarian breakfast (sometimes vegan) every morning for you, and it definitely gives you the boost and energy you need to take on the day! Her quarters are very clean and neat. I really enjoyed my stay there and can't think of one bad thing about Sage Wellness! I would totally recommend to all my fellow female travelers!
After my original hostel booking falling through, I found this unexpected gem of a place which ended up being just what I needed as a newcomer to Toronto. I ended up staying for over 2 weeks. I got to know my room mates well and enjoyed the fun and supportive atmosphere. Every morning Roxie had a new delicious vegan or vegetarian breakfast prepared and we would eat together and chat. After that was shower time with beautiful natural skin products. The host, Roxie, is all the entertainment you will need and helped me greatly with my job search and further accommodation in Toronto. I highly recommend!
I liked that the flat had a full bathroom equipped with all the necessities (which was very nice). The room that I was in had a/c (another plus).
When I arrived it was sort of a hot mess. I didn't really check in, but was welcomed by other guests. The rooms were a tad squished and there was yelling from the street around 2 am. As much as I wanted to like this place, it was a bit of a let-down; the owner seemed rushed (overbooked feeling) but did her best to answer everything. Maybe I was expecting too much? :(
I liked Roxie, the owner, she really cares to make your stay comfortable! Roxie also organizes Niagara Falls guided tour by her car. Don't miss it. You will have a lot of fun and make great memories!
- rooms are beautiful furnished - very girly - lots of toiletries for everybody in bathroom - you get nice and comfortable bathrobes - really good and lovely prepared breakfast - Roxie (owner) eats breakfast with you, chats, really friendly - you feel like you're home away from home - very very clean - good atmosphere, always funny
A very open environment for women who are traveling to feel safe and comfortable within. Roxie is a warm hostess who genuinely seems to care about her clients well-being.
Everything was well cleaned, breakfast was good, healthy, though not enough amount, still we enjoyed that.
We can not stay during the day from 11am to 3pm. It had not mentioned when I booked. We had to go out. There are only 1 bathroom with shower, we had to share with 7 people, that was inconvinient.
I haven't internet access in Toronto. Sorry that I come very late in the night. Roxie is nice, she was waiting for me for whole day.
The breakfeast was awesome.
It has only one bathroom.
I absolutely loved staying at the Women's Sage Wellness B&B. The Owner is very friendly and helpful. She always made sure I was comfortable and knew where I was going. I was looked after really well. I had all I needed and more. The B&B is very clean. I loved the power shower in the bathroom with all the toiletries every girl could wish for. The yummy smoothie waited for me on the dining table every morning which was such a bliss. When I am back in Toronto, I am definitely stopping by there again. It is one of the best hostels for women I have ever stayed in.
Roxi was lovely. She is interesting people to meet. Room, bathroom and kitchen were clean. There're are all shampoo, conditionner and other produces. During your stay you haven't clean your dishes. She does for you! Her breakfast is yummy. You feel more in homestay than hostel :) Thank you Roxi!
Unfortunately there was a road's construction in the front during my stay and was a little noisy. It's not in the center but there are buses. And the subway is 15 min walk
Roxie is a perfect chef. Her hospitality and also personality was excellent. I enjoyed my one night stay there.
It is a lovely place!! Roxie is one of the world best owners! She have a great and big heart and soul! I enjoyed all minutes what I was there! Every lady need going there! :D The hostel is very homely, nicely and girly! If you need a girly relax it is your place! I will go back soon!
The staff was great; the place was cozy, welcoming and clean. Breakfast was included and it was amazing. The transit is right outside the door and buses run frequently.
The area seemed a little sketch, but as long as you aren't going out at night, it's not that bad. There is only one bathroom/shower for everyone to share.
First time 'Hosteling'...was GREAT experience, great host, lovely breakfast included, fun and fresh, beautiful colors and comfortable! I'd definitely go back!
That part of town was a little worrisome at night, but it wasnt bad.
The owner was great, i was a late check-in guest, but she was waiting for me in front of the door and welcomed me warmly. Also there are some cosmetics, shampoo, body wash, dryer and napkins. I was impressed and I can say this is perfect for girls. (Actually, this is girls-only B&B)
The location is not really good. The access with public transportation is kinda poor, and it is not easy to find for the first look.
