These guest accommodations are in the heart of Old Québec, right in front of Château Frontenac. An on-site restaurant features French, bistro-style cuisine and the rooms provide free Wi-Fi.
Score from 645 reviews Very good
Ideally located in Old Quebec, this heritage property features views of the St. Lawrence River. The on-site restaurants provide a variety of dining options, from classic to regional dishes.

Score from 787 reviews Good
Near a variety of interesting attractions and nestled on the corner of Quebec's only 2 pedestrian streets, this hotel offers comfortable guest rooms and a delicious on-site restaurant.
Score from 289 reviews Wonderful
Location and comfort of accomodations. Staff was great.
Location excellent. Room and bathroom modern. Good space in bathroom. Breakfast was good.
Minor details: Service fee for breakfast 15% asked for. two little room problems were reported (sliding door to bath room was not easy to close; sometime there was a touch of sewage smell).
The staff was very friendly.i came to quebec city to explore the old cities, great location to do that.
Breakfast is not actually free. Would be better if it was more of a continental breakfast where you serve yourself
It was superbly located, walking distance of everything. Friendly staff, cozy rooms and very clean. Breakfast was lovely - seated and served a choice of cereals then bagels, toast or croissants accompanied by fresh cheeses and meats, yogurts and fruit. Would definitely recommend and would stay at Hotel-Sainte Anne again.
The breakfasts were good enough. The croissants were the best part. Coffee was weak. As per other reviews, our server pointed out that service was not included, so while I wasn't surprised, I was still a bit put off. Rooms were immaculate. We noticed the maids across the hall cleaning one of the rooms and they were very thorough! The previous guests must've left quite the mess, but they really scrubbed and cleaned it up. The front desk staff are polite and efficient and the location can't be beat.
This hotel looks great on paper and our room was super cute but there are small details that are irking me. Our room had one closer where the hangers were so high, we could barely reach them, and yet when we went to the bathroom, the hand towels were hung so low that we had to almost crouch down to dry our hands. We solved the closet problem by putting the ironing board in the closet and using the hooks from the ironing board holder as a coat rack. Also, I feel like mugs should be used instead of teacups because the keurig made horrible coffee with those little cups. Our room had a wiring situation which may have been resolved by now but the 2 light switches are wired in such a way that one controls the night stand lamps, clock radio and the entrance mirror while the othe controlled the overhead light. Everytime I got back to the room, tv clock radio was blinking 12:00 and at night, since the entrance mirror lit up most of the room, we just shut it all off and used our phones as alarm clocks. It's little details that made me feel like not enough thought was put into the design of the room. I left with a bittersweet feeling.
The location, room, view (of church and chateau) and bathroom were all very good
The breakfast choice was a bit limited. I ended up with the same croissant every morning...
I felt that it was false advertising on your part to show this hotel with a Bistro cafe. Not only did it NOT have a restaurant open, for dinner which we wanted after a long days travel, there was also no bar. We had to go out to eat.We were informed that it was the winter season and if we wanted dinner and a bottle of wine we would have to go elsewhere!! Although breakfast was included, and the restaurant opened for that, we were chased out of the restaurant by the waiter who informed us that service was not included and that he expected us to tip him!! We could have stayed at the Hotel Frontenac for almost the same price and there plenty of bars and restaurants open over there. It was very disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel or stay there ever again.
early checkin, lovely large room, good continental breakfast, great location. liked everything
8 of us 2 nights and liked everything.
- location was great
Location Decoration Friendly staff Price
A bit small room Street with no car
loved the location. so close to Chateau Frontenac and the quaint streets of old Quebec.
the complimentary breakfast was quite meager.
The courteous staff and the upgrade we were given after the thing that we did not like.
Going to our room the second evening at 10:00 pm to find that the key to our room did not work because of a dead battery and the staff was unable to replace the battery until the next day because they did not have the right tool to access the battery. We were given another room but did not have access to any of our belongings other than the clothes we were wearing. No emergency toothbrushes or toothpaste were available.
Location. Cozy hotel
Small room Asked to tip the servant for included breakfast! Incredibly small quantities for the included breakfast: Could not have both coffee and juice. Only 1 croissant/bagel! Half a (very thin) slice of ham and half a (very thin again) slice of cheese!
Location. The walk was much less than we expected from the side street.
Breakfast was very minimal and service was not good. Server was more concerned about the tip which he said at the outset was not included. Tasteless!!
clean, quiet and helpful staff
room a little too small and breakfast was very disorganized.
The ambience in the hotel was lovely--the combination of old and new seamlessly done. I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. And the room--bed, bath, layout--superb!
Comfortable, spacious and clean; best location for sightseeing and shopping; you feel at home.
A bar and small cafe in the hotel would be great as the terrace cafe is closed in winter.
Location was perfect for our first trip to Quebec. Located in the walled area, walking was easy to all the main streets, shopping, and sights. The room was what I expected and the price was fair. The location really is the best part of staying here. There is a bus stop 50 yards away which is extremely convenient. The tourist information center is very close if you want to use that service and they are very helpful. Rooms were good, location was great, I would stay here again.
Hotel staff seemed to be unaware of any restaurants or attractions outside of the immediate (tourist) area. Staff was helpful in locating on the map where addresses were, but made no mention that the bus system went there, instead of a 25 minute walk.
staff were great, especially front desk help (phillipe), very clean everywhere (room, bath, hall, ect) breakfast included was big $ save, everyone in area speaks English. entire city is friendly
Location was excellent.
Hotel entrance was very hard to enter up steps with large suitcases.
The location was perfect for walking to sites in Old Quebec. Our room was wonderful. Front desk staff very helpful.
Most of the desk staff was very helpful in providing guidance, directions and reservations when needed.
Could have been a bit more punctual opening for breakfast, since business meeting can begin as early as 8:00 requiring me to miss breakfast some days. A city water break made the tap water undrinkable for a day, but no effort was made to notify guests or provide them with bottled water as other hotels did.
The location of Hotel Sainte-Anne for folks focusing their trip on Old Quebec is perfect. It's located on a non pedestrian street however there is convenient and reasonable public parking within walking distance. After spending the day taking in the charm of Old Quebec, my Sisters and I would return to Hotel Sainte Anne feeling like we were truly living the life of this wonderfully quaint city.
We liked everything about this hotel. It has an excellent location In Quebec and is just steps from the visitor's center where we were able to book several trips. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
The friendly staff .very clean .great breakfast .and the location could not be any better .and reasonable priced I would stay there again and again
