Location, ambience, charming
Location, nice rooms
Breakfast selection and service. Servers were terrible.
upscale room. Staff pleasant and helpful. In the old city... within block of the attractions.
Canadian 20% tax on the room quote. Have to park in an underground (unmarked and hard to find) parking lot. Need to carry your suitcase to the hotel.
Staff were very obliging and helpful. Street where hotel is situated is so quaint, among everything but away from the actual bustle. Best breakfast we've ever had. Room so original, clean and lovely bathroom. Stayed 2 nights before going on a cruise - an easy downhill walk to the cruise terminal (although you can get a taxi). Would recommend the hotel
Pleasin decor, obliging staff, nice breakfast
In our double room, a design quirk: between the bedroom and the ensuite bathroom, a translucent window allowed the bathroom light to shine on the bed
Staff were very helpful and friendly. The location could not have been better. The rooms were modern and always well cleaned.
Just slightly disappointed that the decor and design of the room did not have the character I expected in a historic building.
Not a thing
Not sufficient porter service especially for older people
Located on a quaint pedestrian street, great food at the restaurant and full bar, outside patio, pick of the menu for breakfast which is included, elevator, very modern facilities for a very old building. Front desk was very helpful in setting up a tour for us, wait staff was excellent. Location is perfect - steps from Chateau Frontenac in Upper Town.
-This was very close to all the old town sites I wanted to see. You can almost see the famous hotel, right by funicular to lower town, the cathedral, Rue de Tresor, shopping. -Neat room. Modern fixtures/color scheme, exposed old building wall. It had a minifridge and microwave. -Delicious full breakfast! -Staff was very friendly and helpful. -Provided a Pack n' Play for our toddler.
-You cannot drive up to the hotel to drop off your luggage. It's a short, cobblestone walk 50-100 feet. -The fire detector started going off due to low battery which woke us up really early but the staff remedied it kindly.
Since I am definitely a breakfast person I loved that breakfast was included . Not just a boring buffet but a real sit down, waited on delicious breakfast. Everyone was very nice and a great location, near to all.
Would have liked the outside patio to be cleaner and lighting not so harsh. It was not appealing at all. It could be very beautiful with just a little work
Room décor, nice bathroom and great breakfast
Accommodations, location, breakfast and dinner.
Nothing we didn't like.
Beautiful old historic building that is within walking distance of everything historic within Que'bec. Loved everything about this place and would definitely recommend staying there. Price great, small charm feel and staff extremely nice.
Nothing to dislike
We were traveling for our honeymoon and were greeted with a lovely bottle of sparkling white. Thank you for making our stay extra special.
Very well designed. The restaurant had great service and wonderful food. Ideal location!
The mattresses were very hard...didn 't have the best sleep. Laundry service was extremely expensive.
Beds, shower and food were all great.
We were just too cramped. So much that it was inconvenient. And way too dark with minimum lighting. They offered pay per view, but staff was not knowledgeable enough to get it for us.
Everything was great overall.
People on the front desk were very helpful. Breakfast was good, but commences at 7.30 am on weekdays and 8 am on weekends. We had a standard room which was well appointed but very small.
There was a sewer smell all the time in the room. There was no way to ventilate the room. We felt very cramped in the room with little space to spread out. We paid over $220 a night for this - seemed a lot.
Restaurant and outdoor cafe. Food was very good.
Could not dry to front door to unpack.
We spend 2 nights in September 2014 at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and surprisingly modern. We did eat at the restaurant for breakfast and one dinner - all meals were very delicious and service was excellent. Location was really the best part - very centrally located. Everything within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.
Nothing really. The bike race was in town so it made it difficult to actually get to the hotel due to road closures but that is not the hotels issue. The hotel does not have parking - we needed to park at a lot about 5 minute walk away. And you cannot pull up in front of the hotel to unload - the street is pedestrian only. Again, things that are not within the hotels actual control but may be helpful to know.
Great location. Good food in their restaurant. Nice updated bathroom
Little difficult getting your luggage up the front stairs off the street into the hotel. The lighting in our suite was dim making the room quite dark.
Dropping off luggage and parking car difficult
first...very nicely renovated old hotel. Excellent location. Beautiful room with good bed and beddings. Very clean and big shower. My room had an electric fireplace and bar fridge..a definite plus...Very courteous staff and clean room. I travel a lot and that's what I like in a hotel. Great hotel...
No parking available on premise and have to park 2 blocks away in city parking...Not easy to find..but now that I know, would be easier.
Location. Wonderful breakfasts
