The hotel staff was fabulous!
The restaurant food was very good but I think it was overpriced!
bed was very comfy. Robes were a nice touch. Good breakfast (except no toast) Would stay there again.
Would have preferred a room overlooking the pool.
cleanliness, most staff were helpful, comfortable beds, four pillows, nice TV.
very noisy children running up and down the halls, parents not supervising their children, adults above us partying, did not replenish coffee every morning, broken telephone, broken lamp, broken blinds, broken hair dryier, cold eggs for breakfast. Staff unwilling to compensate us for our discomfort in any way. Slow wifi, unable to use our cell phones on the property.
quality of sleep; complimentary breakfast was a surprise; large comfortable room
too dark - poor lighting for reading
We were given a free upgrade at check in and the room was spacious and comfy and overlooked the pool. Most staff were friendly, but there seemed to be a number of new staff at the front desk, so it was not always easy to get questions answered. The breakfast buffet was better than most, including fresh fruit (it looked like canned fruit, but definitely was not), granola and yogurt. Pool area was still open and very nice.
Beds were too soft (not awesome for a bad back). Would be nice if hotels didn't associate luxury with soft mattresses. This was in the suite,so maybe the standard beds are different?
Stayed one night and had no problems. Really enjoyed the stay & enjoyed the beautiful outdoor scenery.
Would have liked if the pool was open to a later hour. Also the ability to rent movies on the television would be ideal.
This hotel is a beautiful spot and great location, excellent breakfast. The staff was great ans very helpful. Will definitely be going back there to stay again.
not bad at all
wifi is no good
Fabulous pool and hot tub lovely rooms
meals in reatsurant expensive but the canada is dearer fro meals out than the UK
The staff was extremely helpful.
The carpet in the room was stained and had runs in it. It needs to be replaced.
Nice size room, comfortable bed with 4 pillows, great breakfast!
Swimming Pool and table 24
cleanliness, comfort, hospitality, and great restaurant
Easy to find on main highway in Salmon Arm. Very friendly, professional staff. Motel style bedroom/bathroom with balcony overlooking lovely swimming pool and garden. Excellent restaurant. We only booked one night to break the journey between Vancouver and The Rockies but we would have been happy to spend longer. Very good value for money with breakfast included even though this was not on the booking.
Good price, warm welcome, efficient check in, hot breakfast buffet included (which we didn't notice when we booked online), quiet, lovely & unique pool area, small balcony to enjoy the pool view, good wifi connectivity, coffee in the room.
There is a hotel part (inside access) and a motel part where we were (outside access, stairs, no elevator). We had dinner in their dining room and were disappointed. Appy was very good. Our pasta was so mushy we barely touched it. The reaction was "Sorry" but nothing else.
The room booked, when check in room gone.Have been confirm 3 times before and they very sure we got the room we booked
I liked the restaurant. It is important to me to have a descent restaurant on site. Good choices on the menu and a quality wine list. The pool is spectacular.
At check in, the details re "incidental expenses" (an extra $100 ) were NOT explained up front but had to be questioned by me. The complimentary breakfast had good fresh fruit and yogurt but the cooked items were unbelievably poor. In fact they were inedible and tasted like they'd been warmed up for several days. Why bother!
My daughter, who has never been to another Podollan, was very impressed with everything except the restaurant. I have been to the GP location and was excited to take my family to the Podallan. I have to say I was disappointed. Having said that we enjoyed our stay, the facility was clean and comfortable - just not up to the standards of the GP location.
The restaurant. The menu is not family friendly. The breakfast selections were the same everyday, not hot, not fresh and a very limited selection. One man asked for mustard for his ham and was told he could not have it. My Grandson is 16 months old, ate some watermelon and three hashbrowns but was charged for.
We loved the pool area and the beautiful landscaping. Only wish we had arrived earlier in the day so could take advantage of it. What a surprise to see something like that. Food and service were excellent.
The hotel decor, pool and gardens
Badly behaved bus loads of teenage children running, shouting, and generally being offensive. Front desk not able to cope, duty manager not contactable as was home asleep. Unlike most of the hotel guests! Cancelled second night. Do not expect any variety for breakfast.
My son and husband adored the outdoor pool. The room was clean and comfy. The staff was very gracious. I appreciated their attention to detail.
I would suggest a clothes line in the bath tub for all the wet clothes after the pool.
Nice place. Good location.
Had to wait 1 and a half hours to be able to get into our room. Waited 20 minutes sitting at our table in hotel restaurant before being served, even just water.
Really liked the size of the room which had a decent amount of extra space for my daughter to run around in . Air conditioning was great though a bit loud . Loved the pool ! Huge and unique in shape . I didn't go in but my girlfriend and daughter did and they had a great time . Also really enjoyed the hot breakfast which came as part of the stay . Saved us from having to find somewhere to have breakfast in the morning before leaving .
Though right on the Trans Canada , it is halfway up a hill and not close to anything . We had to drive to find somewhere to have supper the night we arrived . It is a good drive down to the lake as well . Air conditioning , while welcome was noisy . Internet cuts in and out .
pool was amazing
