Score from 92 reviews Very good
Conveniently connected to the Calgary Telus Convention Centre by skywalk, this luxurious hotel offers contemporary facilities and lavish accommodations near many attractions in the heart of Calgary,...
Score from 248 reviews Excellent
The lobby area around the elevator and the elevator need sprucing up. The sheets and towels were of low quality.
Location to downtown was good either for walking or the train was just a few steps away
Could not use the staircase to access room- the elevators were a little congested and slow and it would have been nice to have the option
small bathroom; Hotelprice very expensive for what they offer;
Location in relation to all the attractions. Good size rooms Great menu in dining room Great staff
Mattress not hard enough
Room was clean and comfortable, Meals were great
Feel that the hotel could do with an upgrade, looking very tired
Overall, the stay at this particular hotel was nothing special, overall average experience for the price we paid, however I would not stay later than a night or two. A few things I did like include the recreational facilities and location. The staff was friendly upon arrival, and treated our group with respect despite the fact that we were young adults.
Unfortunately, the housekeeping service was very loud in the early hours of the morning, which made for a difficult time relaxing and sleeping in. The staff was insistent on our group leaving relatively early, which had greatly impacted our plans for enjoying the city and even the hotel, even though we arrived later in the prior day.
I liked my stay there, staff is friendly, housekeeping team was great, the location at downtown made it easy for us to reach anything by the train.A double bed room was of good size beds for my family of 4 people ( 2 kids of 7 & 10 years)
WiFi signal was not always good.
The location was good as we had a medical appointment downtown. Nice to have restaurant on location. The staff was friendly
Room was not nice and wasn't clean. The view was to ugly pipes etc
The place is clean and very helpful, friendly staff but the wifi was not working well. Overall I would highly recommend it to everyone!
Poor wifi connection.
Location was great and in proximity of local transportation. Restaurant and breakfast is excellent.
Rooms are very small and in need of refurbishment. Noisy air conditioners No decent restaurants (except the one at the hotel) in proximity of the hotel.
The bedroom is huge
The swimming pool is very small
everything but the two points I wrote on the "what didn't you like"
wi-fi connection was very poor the room door was stuck and not easy to open.
The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Eager to assist.
The pool and hot tub did not appear to be functional. There were concerns of cleanliness of the pool. Requires maintenance.
The internet didn't work properly, the whirlpool didn't work. Aircon didn't work and the room was to hot.
I was just arrived in Calgary from Vancouver and went straight to this hotel from the airport as I had already booked a room for 4 nights before I started my honeymoon trip. When I checked in, the front desk lady asked me for all details she supposed to ask. Until she told me that my card was declined and she couldn't checked me in. I wasn't so sure why was my card declined as I'd been using the same card to stay in 2 hotels in Vancouver. She indeed asked me if I had another "CREDIT" card. Spontaneously I said I didn't have credit card. I have Mastercard. She told be that my card is a debit Mastercard and they required Credit card instead of Debit card. Hence, she couldn't check me in. She phoned her manager and asked her next colleague and her colleague shook head towards my card without looking at my face. After showed my card to her colleague she got back to me saying they couldn't accept Debit Mastercard and found me and my husband no solution but "Sorry we can't check you in". Also, she told me all Hotel in downtown Calgary will only accept Credit Card, not Debit Mastercard. Long story short, I was so embarrassed and so upset because left stranded with scary tag line sticking on my head "All hotel in downtown Calgary won't accept debit card, but credit card". I was shaking as that was our first trip to Calgary. What should we do and all that. Then my husband decided to call one of 5 stars hotels in downtown Calgary and they said to my husband that they could accept Mastercard. He called this particular hotel because we stayed in this hotel when we were in Vancouver and they accepted my Mastercard. So when we arrived to this new hotel, they said my card was declined. But they didn't say that I couldn't use Mastercard. Then they politely asked me to use other card and I gave them my husband's and it worked!
Poor wifi and no free breakfast
Location, facilities & Wi-Fi
Bathroom door did not close, no fan in the bathroom, unable to open a window in the room & the bed made a noise with every movement.
no chairs at table coffee maker did not work
problem with WIFI connexion
They have the smallest toilet I ever seen. Bad Aircondition. Poor view or dirty window, no matter how, no interest to looking out. Old n dirty corridor, cannot up to a business hotel standard.
It was close to the things we wanted
The swimming pool water smelled.. The showeres in the fitness room were cold. Our bathroom door didn't close.
This was a good location to get around the city as it is right beside the C Train which goes through the city. The staff was really good and the wifi was free.
It took forever to get the elevators from one floor to the other, in fact one of them was out of order for two days. Also, for all of you who are not aware of Alta`s tax system, I was not impressed...all of the hotels charge two extra tax levies, one is called the Alberta tourism levy (4%), and the other is called the Calgary Destination Marketing F , which is about 3.5 %. This is on top of the 12 % Gst. Overall, not impressed!!
There was a microwave. It was close to the major places like clubs, shopping mall, restaurants, etc.
The bathroom was small. Smaller than what I expected.
The staff are friendly and courteous, the location..
Air conditioning unit is somewhat noisy..noticed that upon entering the room it was just been cleaned.. the carpets seemed moist.. certain smell...
The manger waited I me during check in and was really nice. I liked that it had a moxies and the location. Lobby was also nice. Unground parking was also a plus!
Our room. It was out dated, the wall paper in the bathroom was ripped, toilet slanted and felt like it was going to fall through the floor and broken tiles in the bathroom. Found an abundance of hair on our clean towels. Elevator was wonky and my husband got stuck on the floor above us.
