Proximity to shopping. Denny's and Moxies attached to hotel. Very convenient.
Cold shower in morning, but maintenance was working on it and we were given Moxie card for our inconvenience.
Very thin walls, lots of noise.
Booking.com did not send my reservation to the hotel and I had to scramble to get the last room available. Not sure where the breakdown in communication was, but I doubt I will use booking.com again
Generally good facility but bad food in Denny's restaurant. Great location for shopping ikea.
Left room at ten am back at two thirty pm room not serviced. Wife unwell, laid down to rest. Put DNd notice on door and went for walk leaving wife to rest.while trying to rest, housekeeping ignored dnd notice and knocked on door. Sick wife had to get up and answer it. Left room at five pm advised housekeeping in corridor that room was available for cleaning. Returned to room at eleven pm. Room had not been serviced!!!
How friendly the staff was. The room was clean.
The cleaning solution that they mopped the floor with every 2 hours. On Booking.com, we requested a pet room with 2 queen beds on an upper leved. On arrival we were told that pet rooms were only on the main floor and they did not have any 2 queen rooms on this floor. After some negotiating we were upgraded to a king room with bunks. Not ideal for our situation. It would have been better if the booking process had indicated that they did not have what we wanted. Also note the pet fee is $10 per pet, not a $10 pet fee. I can't imagine why, if the $10 is for cleaning, then it shouldn't matter if it 1 or 3 pets, as the room still needs to be vacuumed thoroughly.
Using of printer is not for free
Size of room Overall look of hotel
No clock in the room Burnt out bedside table lamp No shower cap
Clean Easy access to shopping/eating Nice big rooms
Good Location Great Staff Great check in/out
Terrible, HARD Beds
Didn't mention the pool whilst we were booking, the kids were very sad when they saw it and had not bought their swim wear!
Their snobby attitudes
Shark Club and Moxies. The service in both was terrible, the food in Moxies was surprisingly poor. The waitresses in both were very poor.
I was pleasantly surprised to see I was upgraded to a suite. Really nice. We had a wonderful stay. I wish we could have stayed longer
awesome is the only word to describe this hotel. we have stayed in a lot of other places in Calgary but the sandman beats them hands down. will definitely return on future stays in Calgary.
Good size room, clean
Pillows were horrible Someone elses left over Chinese food was in the fridge, and hair in the bathroom
I liked that they were accommodating when I asked them to call me a cab so I could get to an LRT station. As well as when I returned from where I was I called the hotel and asked them to call a cab and have it pick me up at the LRT station in which they did.
I didn't like that I was rudely awakened by a male house keeper that let himself into my room at 9 am. Because he wanted to know when I was checking out. Check out is at 11 am. Not to mention that I was not clothed. This incident took everything that they had done for me and through it up in flames. I complained to the front desk immediately and again when I checked out. I left my name and number and was told it would be given to the manager for a manager to contact me but here I am now Tuesday morning and still no call. This is totally unacceptable. I am extremely upset and feel as though my privacy was violated.
Two restaurants with the hotel.
We found other people's clothes in our room and a broken glass.
Liked everything and good location
Noisy when busy due to quality of build. Could hear people above and to each side. Also staff member banging stairwell door at 3am whilst delivering final accounts to rooms and again at 5am whilst delivering newspapers to rooms. We were end room beside stairwell door.
Location was excellent right across from Ikea and accommodations very comfortable.
I like the fact that it was very near denny's and tim horton... Near some shopping places also.
Far from downtown.
Location, central to where we wanted to shop
Very noisy guests both nights which affected our sleep both nights.
Booked a king suite which was very nice - full kitchen AND a washer and dryer
Booked the room at $159/night for 3 nights on Booking.com but they charged me $199 not $159 for the first night.
Comfy beds Nice staff, polite and resourceful Quiet
The location, really hard to get in and out of (driving wise), even to go somewhere easy like the Fairview community or businesses on Mcleod Trail. My room was TINY!! (407), and cramped!! No room to put the suitcase rack. Beautiful patio, but couldn't open the door. Need free wireless. I can sit in the Denny's and use theirs but not in my hotel room??
They don't take deib visa not all people have credit cards
I like the room washroom was good
