I liked the suite..like a small condo, perfect for 1 or 2 people. The free wifi that worked perfectly. Location is superb. 4 blocks to beach, False Creek Ferries, 15 minutes to Stanley Park, 10 minutes to Robson shopping. Lots of reasonably priced restaurants in the area. Also Moxie's in the hotel. Weather, but that isn't Sandman's fault.

Location ideal to see our family, and access general services. Quiet and clean; staff assigned us a suite on a keyed floor. Reasonable price. Bed mattress too soft for us, and pillows flimsy.

Location, location, location. What's not to like. Location on davie Street is close to everything by foot, taxi or sky train/buses. A short walk to catch the water buses to Granville Island. The suite is amazing, with all that you'd need for a self catered vacation, and there are great produce stores like "Kins" at street level, or the Independent Grocer across the street. If you don't want to cook, there is Moxies on the ground floor, as a myriad of ethnic offerings in the area. What can I say, Starbucks is also at street level. Wished there were dog friendly rooms. We like to travel with out mini dachshund, but can't bring her when we stay here. :-(

Location and the price. Heating system was terrible. Too hot or too cold. Bed - lousy mattress. Phones - we could not turn off the orange flashing light. Nor could the maintenance. So, we disconnected the phones. Poor quality blinds. Too much light coming in at night. Bathroom. The toilet seat would not sit up and the toilet paper roll dispenser was loos and the toilet paper would fall down all the time.

The house keeping was mediocere at best. Our bed was not made on both days....the room was just restocked with towels and coffee supplies, not much else.

The staff were very helpful, they accommodated us when we requested we be moved away from the elevators without hesitation, and also again when we requested our stay to be extended, without us having to move room. The beds were so comfortable and the housekeeping very good. I've already recommended The Sandman to friends and family, and would do so to others.

Location was perfect for shopping and resturants. I had requested a "quiet" room .. My room was across the hall from a very noisy ice machine!

Was within walking distance to the downtown core. There where costs on my bill that were not mentioned. So a surprise to see the breakdown of costs. The elevators are painfully slow, stairs are faster, even being on the 11th floor.

Great location and incredible value. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Rooms have everything one needs and more. Like many people have stated, the elevators can be slow at times. When I read this, I did not think it could be that bad, but I did find certain times the wait was quite long.

The location was excellent ; a ten minute walk to the ocean front at English Bay. It was easy to reach Downton Vancouver, whether you walked or took public transport (which was easily accessible). The staff were helpful, and the facilities were very good. Everything was provided so if you wanted to cook, no problem. The location made it easy if you wanted to dine out every night or cook your own food ( a supermarket was located 10 minutes away). No problems with the lifts, I was on the 23rd floor. Nothing totally enjoyed my stay.

Centrally located in downtown core, easy to walk to and from attractions. Parking should be included in rate, we rented a car for 2 days and paid additional $40 with all the fees and taxes. Not a good value for the dollar.
