Great location, accross the street from the Q.E. theatre. Walking distance to B.C. Place and Rogers Place.
I felt that the room we had was great for our needs. I really enjoyed the white bedding which is a lot more relaxing. The room had a great view and is located in a great area for food, dancing and shopping.
walking distance to our show, friendly staff and clean, comfy rooms!
Location is excellent especially for events at the Rogers arena. Bathroom has no fan so the mirror fogs up.
Lobby could be better and more inviting as well as overall cleanliness and freshness. The whole place has a 'drab and tired' feeling. Not cared for.
Central location in the city; Moxie's was great. The bed was extremely comfortable. Overall the hotel appears clean, modern and organized.
The bathroom sink barely worked in our suite, and the bathroom fan was non-functional. Coffee cups were dirty, with caked-on food. For the price of one night, I expected better quality.
Good price and location
An older hotel
The bathroom was too small. I actually had to go over the toilet bowl to be able to open the door. The elevators are used by staff and guests; there is not enough and waiting for it a long time is not good.
I love the bed.
I wish the gym was free and that the hotel included a breakfast.
The location of this hotel was very good.
The room was a closet stuck in behind the elevator. This meant that the bed and room vibrated audibly for most of our stay. The staff seemed less than happy to be there. The room doors had no seals which meant being woken up by voices and screaming babies in the hall at night. The bathroom door wouldn't close.
good sized room, proximity to restaurants, car hire on site
lifts took ages
-Free upgrade to king sized bed -Nice and clean place -Good location -Air conditioning was perfect in such hot day
No exhaust fan in the bathroom
The location is great. it is close to the downtown venues.
I still find it hard to believe that a hotel room is worth the price that is charged. I guess it is what the public will pay, but it is very pricey.
Perfect location. Comfortable clean room. Was able to drop our hire car at the hotel instead of airport
Price did not include breakfast. No tissue box in room
- location - almost centrally located - nightly rates - moxie restaurant - excellent food options and great taste - staff
internet - doesn't work most of the times despite several complaints. had to move to a different adjacent hotel because of the internet issue
Easy walking distance to city attractions, restaurants and public transport. Staff helpful, gave us an unasked for discount, rooms perhaps a little dated but kept very clean. For downtown Vancouver excellent value.
Only real negative was the elevators, small and hot and this made it difficult having to share with housekeeping staff.
After arrival and calling ahead at 6pm to say we would be there around 10pm to check in and the Staff confirmimg our stay when we arrived and approached the front desk...the Staff personal informed us they had given our room away and that we would be taxied to a upgrade Hotel that charges $500/night...what a farce...the hotel we were sent to was a cheaper downgraded version and the a/c did'nt even work...the staff at this hotel played along and said that they charge at least $500/night as the city is very busy and that the Sandman would lose money on this deal....Ya right....we got home the next day and checked the prices for the hotel we stayed at and surrounding area....at least $100 cheaper....unbelievable! We will be following up with the Vancouver Sandman for retribution. I am sure this happens to others and they are upgraded so I'm wondering now if this is a some kind of game the Sandman hotel plays..we were so looking forward to our stay there but now I don't know if we would ever stay there or recommend the Sandman! signed Glenn from Campbell River
Great Location. Very clean and comfortable.
Room was super small, I didn't even have enough room to set up the ironing board. I was going to a wedding with my adult son and we had to sleep in a large double bed...not even a queen. There were hand prints on the head board above us and a "white" stain of sorts on the seat of the only chair (computer) in the place. The price for this room 199.00 plus 20 for parking and taxes. totaling 250 plus dollars?? Never again
Beware of the restaurant on site as it was the subject of an undercover cleanliness documentary of hotels and this restaurant failed miserably, and even when alerted to their failings did nothing to improve. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!, wI fi is awful
Location Good bed
Weirdly shaped room Busy Elevators
Good central location.
As many had did before the internet is terrible. You post something please make sure it odd up to the task.
Friendly staff and reasonable rates.
Elevators and Hot tub could use some update.
Location was good, staff were friendly, hotel was clean
Elevators require your room card to operate which is difficult to use. Service at Milestones restaurant is slow

I reserved a corporate king. They placed me in a quaint queen. "All they had left" Tiny room. No closet. Not even a place to hang clothes. I had to hang clothes from shower rod. Sandman. Wasn't that a scary movie?
Very poor WiFi
