The only "complaint", and it's a small one, is that our room was hot at night. 1st night, turned on a/c, no relief. Called maintenance and it was all good, we didn't have it turned down enough. Next night, still too hot. Came to realize that the heavy light blocking shade that we only pull at night, traps the cool air so it doesn't go into the room. We were able to rig up a bottle to sit in the unit and hold the drape back & cool off the room. But heads up if you're a hot sleeper. You may want to request a room with an outside wall so you can open the window. We were on the 3rd floor facing the pool so that may be why it was warm in the room.
We've tried many of the hotels in Jasper. Never satisfied. Uncomfortable beds, very small rooms, IF there's a restaurant on site food is ok at best. Enter the Sawridge...it was like heaven!! Beautiful facility, friendly professional staff, tasty food at Hearthstone in the evening and Walters for breakfast. The room was spacious, which is necessary because we have our regular luggage plus all the extra coats & boots & helmets for skiing/boarding. Beds were comfy. Steam room was appreciated after a day on the hill. We know where we'll be booking from now on.
