the room we were given was an afterthought. It was the only room with the balcony at the back of the building. We couldn't even open the window because the garbage dumpster was right under our balcony. We got to listen to the garbage truck come and empty the dumpster early in the morning. The hotel staff when we checked in was not very friendly. The hotel parking lot did not have enough parking spots. Tofino was a lovely place to visit but unfortunately our experience was ruined because of our accommodations. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
Location, value, comfort. walked out to the point. great beer and food at Howe Point brewery. Thank you.
We loved the location of the motel we could walk to everything pretty much that Tofino has to offer...
Location Resteraunt next door
Very unfriendly reception with no breakfast
great location in Tofino clean room had a kitchen table, microwave, fridge, stove free washer/dryer on site free wifi
no fans or air conditioning beds were okay... pillows were rocks, skimpy towels an older motel with some mold in the bathroom & no screen on large window paying a lot for the location coffee maker in room.. but no coffee
extremely dated bedding. room requires up-keep to remove water stains. not sure if the room is vented.
the man at the desk was very gracious and helpful. the bed and chairs were nice. Towels were good.
First, the towel rack fell off the wall. And the toilet seat came unhinged, also the pillows were quite hard. Mom didn't 't sleep well. I couldn't get wi-fi because I didn't know the Network name, just the password. Then the power went out so we spent the evening in the dark with a candle. My son was told the next day that the power would be out again and felt we couldn't deal with no power, lights, TV, etc. so we left a day early, so our Tofino experience was not the best. Sorry
The cleanliness of the facility was good and location was in the center of town. The motel took care to create an atmosphere that was pleasant and quiet. Parking was adequate and free of charge.
The decor was quite dated and mismatched. There was no air conditioning which was not mentioned in the writeup. The person who ran the desk was not very pleasant.
Staffs are friendly, free coffee in the morning
No screen door
I liked the deck at the rear of this upper unit. It faced the back of the motel and was sunny and private.Only this unit, 23A had the back facing deck. I also found the bed very comfortable.
There were no extras like a coffee brewer or a microwave which would have been helpful with a longer stay. No phone in the room available.
The location was great, we were able to walk all around town and have a drink with dinner! The beds were comfortable, and the room large. It was very quiet at night, we were happily surprised.
The decor is kinda tired and the WiFi wasn't working well our last morning.
Room was very clean. Great location in town.
The smallest shower I have ever seen. Place was a bit run down looking. Rooms were all non smoking but guests were allowed to smoke right outside the room causing us to have to walk through smoke to leave our room. Price was $200 dollars with tax for what is really a $80 dollar room. To be honest Tofino has a short season and all motels, hotels and B&B's can charge whatever they want to. I did not see any vacancies anywhere. Almost impossible to use the internet.
The cost The location
No air conditioner
The location The staff was helpful and friendly
The pillows were hard
Rooms was small but clean, just renovated. Staff was friendly and the location was great, you can walk everywhere in town. There is not a minimum stay so a good choice if you can only stay one or two nights and for Tofino it is affordable.
I had no problems staying at this hotel. The parking was great Great Location Friendly staff Great People Close to everything Bed was comfortable LOVED THAT THEY HAD A FAN IN THE ROOM INCASE GOT HOT
The door to our bathroom didn't close The lil uneven part going into the bathroom stubbed my toe on twice it's slightly lower and if you don't remember you do hit it. not horrible but it stuck out And there was a stuffiness smell in the room maybe just from being hot but it was slightly noticeable but in the big picture i would stay here again for sure. nothing that you can't handle it was perfect for what we needed.
Public areas not very clean
Location - nice view and the Co op is across the road for supplies
The car park, the welcome
The price, the old staircase to the1st floor, the musty smell of an old building
Location and staff helpfulness
Friendly staff. Quiet. Inexpensive. Decorative updates.
Some furniture needs updating. Plastic flowers
New wall feature heater
Hard pillows - no choice. Hard bed No hair dryer No cups in room
This was a bare bones accommodation (no coffee in rooms) but it was spacious and comfortable and excellent value for what we paid. The staff was courteous, parking was easy, the beds were comfortable. All we were asking for.
I do like my morning coffee and the coffee room did not open til 8. However, we were directed to a nearby shop where we could get early coffee if we wished.
