Loved the tiny cottage that overlooked the ocean! We cooked every night! Very sweet staff and great breakfasts! Can't wait to stay here again
Everything was what we were looking for, and love our time there.
Had to leave to soon , would loved to have stayed a few more days.
The location was great. Staff was great. Location was premium. Breakfast was delicious.
Just a little pricy given the time of year. Mid October.
Complimentary seafood appetizer delivered to cottage!
The location is beautiful with Ingonish Bay views from our cottage window. You could open the windows at night and hear the surf. The owners were gracious and the breakfasts very good. The proximity to Cape Breton made this my choice. I would go again.
The wifi was spotty but I wasn't there for connection.
loved the location and the cottage.
Too much for what you got
Spacious, great views.. A perfect spot for a get away!
Great views to the sea. Good location to explore eastern part of national park.
Completely overpriced. For this price we expect much more service, more variety for the breakfast and more attention to the detail. WLAN was very slow.
Private decking with a great view Excellent dinners in their restaurant Brilliant staff
- very nice staff - clean, spacy and quiet little house with everything - daily room service, clean towels - an extra little snack in the fridge every day - great breakfast - really a lovely place to stay in!!!
semi-private beautiful view
service was pleasant, but forced, lacked authenticity the stay was okay, nothing to complain about specifically, just way way way overpriced the breakfast was mediocre at best reviews of this place were very misleading!
Loved the creativity of the chef and his ability to create what we wanted from scratch. Pleasant staff!! The food was incredible and appreciated the 15 min intervals for other guests.
No complaints at all!
Beautoful spot well worth the money
Staff was kind and generous. Breakfast which was handmade was so nice. Bathroom was nice and clean. Room was comfortable.
When we tried to take a bath at night, no hot water came out. We called to the staff, but no answer. Next morning, we complained about that, they paied us back partially.
Great location and view is breathtaking.
There is a graveyard near several of the cottages. You can actually see the tombstones from several of the cottages..yuck
The views. The food. Easy access to beach. Relaxed atmosphere. Watching the sun set across the bay from our verandah.
Dinner is not available every night. You have to book a time and order dinner at breakfast time which means you can't be as relaxed about what you do in the later part of the day. The latest meal time was 7pm which was one hour earlier than we would have liked. (There is another restaurant 5 minutes walk away but the food is not so good.) This was the most expensive accommodation of our Nova Scotia tour, which is probably due to it being on the Cabot Trail.
Amazing location and view from your window and deck. Very cozy, complimentary shrimp cocktail was a nice touch. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Wonderful breakfast that was included with our stay. Highly recommended!
everything-- a terrific place, managed by terrific people.
We stayed here for the longest stretch of our honeymoon, and it was a great base for our leisurely explorations of Cape Breton. The host shared some gems for us to visit on the north shore which we would have otherwise missed, and they were the highlights of our whole trip. The complimentary breakfasts were lovely, the cottages clean and comfy, and the setting just wonderful. No issues at all with noise from other cottages (we were in cottage 9, at the end.)
Beautiful setting with views of Ingonish bay, lovely gardens. Great wi fi speed, and good breakfast. Quiet.
The decor in the cabins was awful: hideous old drapes and broken down ugly sofa, with clashing ugly fabric. Cramped space with too much furniture. Hard mattress. Really expect better at this price point. Some cabins with much better views of water than others.
The view! Breakfast was great and the daily appetizers a welcome surprise.
The sofa bed was lumpy and it was difficult to open in the small room. The beach wasn't walkable.
We loved the little treats that were left in the fridge everyday... Nice touch. As well, it was so conveniently located, and having th beach right there made the trip.
Neighbours running the lawn mower at 7:30 am
ocean and mountain views, personally served hors d'horves, layout of the cabin, cleanliness of cabin, quiet location, easy reservation process, warm welcome, excellent breakfast
mattress was too hard for us, were not aware of the possibility to eat supper on site (would have loved too!) hot tub was in repairs upon arrival.
On a spectacular seaside site right on the Cabot Trail, well-equipped, modern cottages with an excellent breakfast in the dining room and hors d'oervres brought to the cottage every afternoon. Terrific hosts made the stay very enjoyable.
Expensive - but still less than the nearby Keltic Lodge.
