the guest service at the shangri-la hotel is something to admire. Always on point, always going above and beyond expectations
it was unfortunate that we didn't know about a parade and was unable to get back to the hotel via car at an opportune time. Also for the price point, the view was not what we expected
The special touches in the room and the bathroom selection of toiletries were top quality. The comfort and amenities of the hotel were wonderful. All the staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with during our stay. Recommending to others travelling through Vancouver
i stayed on the top floor,it's a little bit noisy outside.and the hot water of bath tube is discontinuous and not hot enough
health and fitness facility. for a 5 star, i would expect better equipment.
Location was good room was large and the facilities in the room were good
Bathroom size and breakfast
Swimming pool temperature
The service was phenomenal. Our stay was for a birthday and they made it very special with a cake in the room which was so yummy and a few little things at dinner put the trip over the edge!
I couldn't access the internet using the wifi even though it said it was connected there was no wifi connection.
We loved the whole experience of the Shangri-La Hotel in Vancouver, B.C. From the registration on, we were met with employees who were friendly, polite and ready to be of assistance. We had dinner in the restaurant, Market, and we had a lovely meal, and there were various choices to be made there too. Our waitress was very friendly, and had a sense of humour too. We had a lovely sleep on a great bed, and we noticed there was no traffic noise, that we have noticed in other hotels in Vancouver.
Can't say there was anything we didn't like.
every things good
Beautiful one bedroom with covered balcony. We received a free upgrade before we could ask for one. Really enjoyed our room and the entire facilities, pool, bar and restaurant.
Our stay was to short
Extremely comfortable beds, helpful staff that greet you by name and go the extra mile, Generous toiletries with even more available upon request, TV's in the large marble bathrooms, beautiful rooms with great views of Vancouver, Vancouver Intl. Airport ticketing kiosk in lobby, electronic do not disturb signs, great downtown location, & the smell inside of the lobby is almost intoxicating.
Elevators can be very slow during busy times, hotel only occupies the bottom portion of the building - so don't expect a room near the top, Wi-Fi can be slow especially if streaming videos, extremely overpriced food & drinks at the bar - the most expensive I've seen anywhere ($23.00 CAD for ONE cocktail!) & the bar staff were less than inviting, a room per night here is the most expensive in Vancouver - although definitely a luxurious experience, you can get more bang for your buck at the nearby Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Hotel Le Soleil, or Four Seasons.
I found the physical underground layout of the arrivals level and elevator configuration to service floors confusing and very tight
the location of the hotel is perfect.
out door pool is very small and most of the time is under shadow.
Room too crowded with furniture. Shower is small. Dressing rooms in gym/spa area are tiny and lack towels, tissues, combs, slippers etc. (normal things that could be found in spas).
The service and people are very helpful and professional.
The breakfast seems good but cooking is average. Fruits are cut/prepared beforehand like on a plane. Juices are not freshly prepared. A bit too much food in set menu.
Very clean. Comfortable beds. We were brought complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries as a surprise one afternoon.
It wasn't quite up to the standard of luxury one would assume. Bar table for making snacks was too small. Only one lounge chair in the room. No extra blankets provided. View was disappointing as hotel is on a low level, though it is in the tallest building in Vancouver.
The hotel is a short walk from the sky train and Stanley park Robson street shops are really close. The free WiFi is good also.
The breakfast is served we would have preferred buffet style.
Very relaxing atmosphere
Level 7 - very noisy due to party on level 6- all night.
rooms were small and carpet needs updating.
Helpful staff with good local knowledge Stylish design of hotel and rooms Good position for working in or discovering Vancouver
City noise / construction noise in bedroom
Soft beds, TV in the mirror of the bathroom. Front desk service was exceptional.
Milk in fridge was over-stale and came out in chunks when I made my expresso in the morning. The bedroom staff delivered a birthday cake complimentary but since it was not expected I didn't have change for a tip, this ended up in not getting turn down service that night. I think they expected a tip and so then they did not provide a paper in the morning, or any other help. Very dissappointing.
Great staff and amenities
Very helpful staff. Clean and modern feel.
Room service meals were absolutely horrid. I have never eaten such poor quality, tasting and prepared food. Front desk was great in removing it from the room invoice.
