Lovely location, great people, clean and tidy, nice front porch to admire the lakes from, cozy bar area, lovely dinner.
There was nothing to dislike!
Everything. Price, location, accomodations, food, picnic lunch while touring the trail, etc. This is a great place to stay for a day or weeks.
Never found anything.
views, service, walking trails, facilities
Silver Dart has an informative half-hour program on Cape Breton evenings at 9:30, which I found worthwhile. The hotel is minutes from Baddeck, which is home to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum and various restaurants (can vouch for Tom's Pizza and The Bell Buoy). As we were on the go, we didn't have a chance to eat dinner at the Silver Dart, as we had too large lunches.
We rented a chalet, and I expected more of a kitchen. The refrigerator was the size you find in a motel room, and it didn't have a freezer. Also, we ran into Internet access issues, where sometimes we could logon and sometimes not. If I was having a working vacation, I would have been sunk.
Very poor WiFi network. Kept dropping the connection, especially for secure connection i.e. https://,,,,
Everything! The food was excellent as well! Our chalet was so clean and comfy we decided to stay an extra night! My dog was welcomed here and had lots of space to roam as well as on site trails.
The view is amazing!!
I think it could use a face lift....
Very nice setting and clean room. The room was very spacious. Trails are nearby to enjoy a nice visit to the lake. Entertainment is provided in the evening. They have a large accommodating restaurant.
The room had a musty smell and My husband was bothered by the air conditioner blowing it on him as he slept. He was not well after that. He got a bad cough and post nasal drip for the remainder of our week long trip. I was OK but the AC didn't blow on my bed.
I like the vue from the lake, the room was really nice and king size bed was comfortable! The staff was excellent and i love the dinning room area! The only thing that we didn't like was the noisy people upstairs from us! We would go again but we would make sure to stay upstairs or in a cottage!
The noisy people upstairs from us!
The location. The restaurant has a varied menu at reasonal prices.
The fridge was making an unusual noise during the night, a low volume "swoosh". The staff were very pleased when I reported this and said they would address.
So clean ..superb food.. Impeccable grounds.. Terrific staff... Great motel.. Will make that my home base next visit!
Not a thing
Grounds are very lovely. It was very peaceful and quiet.
I don't like buffets for breakfast. I prefer to order from a menu and have someone serve me. We stayed in a chalet at this location. I would like to see a fan in the washroom and either a queen or king size beds in the rooms. Double beds are too small for four people.
We liked the location
Felt it was over priced
Extremely friendly staff, beautiful location, full services. Unfortunately, we only stayed there one night. We would've liked to stay there longer.
I liked everything in the first room we were in.
We extended our stay and had to move rooms, that was no problem, however the new room was very substandered. a terrible smell made me think it was a pet friendly room but there were broken floor boards under the carpet that you felt when you stepped on them We then believed the smell was possibly mould or dry rot from the broken boards. the tv was very old and reception was very poor.wi fi was a problem in both rooms.
staff very helpful, great view, large room.
Nice staff, good view, and new mattress and bedding.
Shower area lacked soap, grab bars, and sufficient towels. The main room was'nt very pretty
The facility was very clean. The view of the lake from our porch was so pretty. I enjoyed the clean and warm outdoor pool.
The restaurant was fine, but service was a little slow. We had breakfast and dinner there. It was not a busy time, just seemed to do the best they could.
The view, the grounds. Close to many amenities :)
Scenery, location. Clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Food was excellent and staff very friendly and polite.
great location for Cape Breton tour excellent restaurant well equipped bedroom with great views
nothing - all good
Very nice stay. Beautiful area & property. We did the trail on site, enjoyable.
We only stayed one night!
Everything was so nice at Silver Dart from the beautiful pool, the great restaurant to the clean room.
My only complaint would be no refrigerator in our room. We had one in almost every other hotel room in our 3 week trip and really missed having one available to us here.
We had a great time and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Location. View. Staff.
Poor WiFi. Slow service at the restaurant.
