Property was beautiful. Room was very large and super clean. Beautiful view of river from balcony. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way. Dinner in the dining room was delicious.
Breakfast is continental. Nothing special.

The propriety is in serious need of maintenance. We see every seam of carpet with thread sticking out, the duradeck on the terrace is discolorated and used, beds flowers is let to themselves.
staff and sleep. The bed was clean and amazing. Supper was very good. The staff serving breakfast and supper were very polite and helpful. Bent over backwards to make sure everything was good. Especially the young man from the Ukraine. Other then some misunderstanding on room details. We had a relaxing time.
No lunch, suppers not family related, no fridge microwave Unless requested (not relayed in room description), 1st floor is Actually 1st floor is deck - no rooms on ground level even though I asked quite a few times that we needed a room on ground level. Hot tub that understood was outside our room was attached to pool on other side of inn.
The room was comfortable with comfortable beds and bathrobes The restaurant meal was 3 out of 5. The service was good at the restaurant. There are many additional things to enjoy such as a pool, hot tub, horses llamas, an exercise room, lovely ground with a gazebo and a carriage.
I called to find out directions and was asked if I could be put on hold for 5 minutes. I was on a cell phone, so I said I would call back in five. I called back and was asked to be put on hold again. I went to a gas station for proper directions. I did do a search on google maps and it gave vague directions. I am glad we found it, but it took us an hour from the time we arrived in Kamloops. My advice:Next time someone calls don't put them on hold.
A superb place to stay between Jasper & Whistler!! We booked the South Thompson Inn last minute as, having read bad reviews for the hotel we were due to stay in at Sun Peaks, we decided not to stay there. What an excellent change of plan for us! This place is a beautiful oasis in the dry surrounding countryside. We were allocated a stunning King room overlooking the river with a lovely balcony to chill out on. The staff were all SO friendly & courteous- nothing was too much trouble & the food was superb. The swimming pool by the river was a perfect temperature - a lovely place to cool off & relax with a view of the river. The hotel is only a short 15 minute drive from Kamloops - but definitely worth a slight detour to stay at such a lovely hotel! The weather was 10c hotter than expected at this time of year at 38c, but the rooms were cool, with very quiet efficient air conditioning & were actually cool enough to manage without the A/C overnight. The hotel & grounds were well kept & immaculately clean. This is a family owner/run hotel. We met the owner & his daughter & they are very "hands on" with a real passion for their property. I will be recommending this hotel to the travel company I used as I was so impressed by it! We could not have wished for a better place to stay - next time we will stay longer as one night was just not enough!!
Nothing we didn't like
The staff was very attentive. I asked for a coffee in the middle of a hot afternoon and she made me a fresh pot. My friend asked for honey for his tea and they got it for him right away.
Would have been nice to have the option of getting something for breakfast like toast rather than having to buy the whole buffet breakfast.
good size rooms but no coffee maker, tv didn't work so great. good view and good place to relax
could have had more restaurants on the facility
Made welcome as soon as we arrived, staff were excellent and looked after us very well. Lovely place in lovely grounds.
This is a beautiful hotel in an isolated area 25 Kms from KImloops, the rooms are spacious and clean. The Wi FI worked perfectly and the area around the hotel is stunning.
This hotel in addition to taking a credit card authorisation for the nights stay, also takes an authority for $100 for any purchases and $300 for possible room damage, I find this totally unacceptable.
No shower by the swimming pool!
Hardwood floors, clean crisp linens, quiet environment. Simple furnishings. Comfy bed. Restaurant on site ( pricey), and lounge.
Our room was next to the main entrance. Large Patio door made privacy an issue so we had to keep the blinds down. Pet room had lots of short white curly dog hair on the floor ( not our brown short-haired mini Dachshund). Pet floors need to be vacuumed not swept.
nice big room excellent value for money
location isolated (need a car)
I enjoyed the beautiful grounds and the swimming pool was very clean and nice to swim in. The meal we had for dinner was exceptional and the owner went out of his way to accommodate another diner who wanted something that was not on the menu. I also loved the Jacuzzi tub in our room.
One small thing was that we were on the ground floor and the room above us must have had small children who we could hear running and jumping at times. Mostly the room was very quiet so I think this must have been an anomaly.
Beautiful quite setting. Unique Victorion style Inn. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices on food and drinks.
We want to come back! The ladies at the desk were so friendly and helpful it felt like they were our friends from home. The room we stayed in was clean and updated and very attractive, because of the layout I think all the rooms would have had beautiful country or river views. The overall feel of the hotel was unique in an elegant and quaint and yet homely way. The restaurant and bar area were great too and made us our own custom americano coffee's, available to all guests! The fitness room was small but had the necessities and was clean and kept up. We weren't able to make use of the hot tub and the pool was closed for winter still but I'm sure in summer they would have been fabulous. Basically we can't say enough good about this place!
