Score from 59 reviews Exceptional
Comfortable, staff very friendly, good food, clean environment.
What a setting for this Inn, amazing views of the Chieftan and even Garabaldi mountains in back. Window seat/daybed is a great idea, we used it for a child's bed and she slept so well. Sauna is large and wonderful.. give it half hour to warm up. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, pub food was mainly good and atmosphere was fun. Iinteresting stores and coffee shops on main street, excellent playground two blocks away...look for little library in the tree!
Some garbage trucks and late night staff exiting at the back were noisy but very limited time, otherwise a quiet Sunday night (long weekend).
No onsite parking We had to park our motorcycles on the street.
Loved the Location of Howe Inn and the Atmosphere in Restaurant/Bar on the Ground Floor... especially the home brewed LAGER... excellent beer!
The wood decor. The bedding. The clean bathroom. The soft window seat. The food. The relaxed atmosphere.
Parking. Would be better if the basement area was used for a parking lot as I felt nervous about leaving my car outside in the lane.
A very cozy boutique hotel, nicely located in downtown Squamish, not out on the highway. Rooms are on the small side but very cosy and properly equipped. The brewpub and restaurant serve excellent beer and food with very friendly, helpful staff. The patio is great in fine weather.
The continental breakfast for $5 is a bit sparse.
The staff was welcoming and friendly. The food in the brewery was amazing (as was the beer) the only complaint was there was no chocolate milk for my son (he had fresh squeezed apple juice which was more than a suitable substitute!). The room was comfortably appointed and the staff fixed a day bed beside the window with a miraculous view of the Chief for my son. I would recommend this hotel/brewery to anyone who is looking for locally owned, friendly service & helpful staff who obviously take great care in what they do.
Lack of chocolate milk.
The rooms are very out dated. The bed nèeded to be replaced and the family room didnt have a second bed juat a foam on a window ledge. Very miss leading. We checked out. And went to the best western.
The room was smaller than expected. We were suppose to have 2 beds and a view, there was only 1 bed for 4 persons and no view. It was late and all the others hotels was booked. The next time I use booking.com I will call the hotel to make sure than the room propose is the good one. I wrote to booking.com and they didn't answer to my comment
Everything was very nice, we did not have any issues.
Would be nice to have a small fridge in the room, but it was not listed, so it's fair. Also, should notice, that through the location is at a very nice place, it was not really quiet, just like at normal living area.
The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. The day bed in the window seat with a lovely view of "The Chief".
The TV set was confusing to use and had limited viewing options.
The friendly helpful restaurant staff. The pub had a wonderful atmosphere . We were just passing through and it satisfied our needs.
Reception staff though friendly read the riot rules,we were 4 mature people who are well behaved,we felt a little bit talked down to after a long day travelling
Spacious rooms. Clean and quiet.
The HSI had everything close to where we were traveling.
Parking was an issue, noise late at nite, and the room could have had more detail to cleaning ie hair on pillow, floor of washroom and used coffee cartridge in the KEURIG.
Character of building Comfortable room Common seating area outside rooms On-site brew pub and restaurant Downtown location Quiet end of the street
No on-site parking Limited breakfast on weekdays
The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable. Nice view of the mountains.
Could hear some noise through the walls, people's voices, showers, etc.
Really nice area, great restaurant and pub
There was a dog barking all night both nights I stayed there, and walls are paper thin. I could hear the couple talking in their bed in the room next to mine. You have to compete with the pub for parking. Otherwise it was good.
-Rooms were very comfortable and had a lot of character compared to commercial hotels. -Amazing food and beer -affordable -animal friendly
the Sauna was great, the decor at the entire Inn was great, and the beer was fantastic.
The pillows on the bed were really uncomfortable.
Wow! The staff were down to earth, friendly and accommodating. They made every effort to make us comfortable and were fantastically flexible when our plans changed last minute. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!
No electric vehicle parking...
The room and dinner were wonderful.
The breakfast was sub par. The eggs were overcooked and somewhat greasy.
Location with great view of the Chief, on-site brewery/pub with nice terrace outside, large room
No AC in the room.
Location, food & beer
Excellent beer, reasonably good food, exceptionally friendly staff. All that is high bonus, of course, to the location. Served as the perfect bookend to a Garibaldi backpacking trip and a great basecamp for further dayhiking along highway 99.
