This was my second stay and it was even better than the first. The hotel is in close proximity to the Quartier Spectacles among other bars and restaurants. Easy Metro access for our visit to the Montreal Biodome. Friendly and helpful staff, and our room was clean and ready at our arrival.
My room on the fourth floor facing the back was very clean and comfortable. I liked the location as it was within walking distance of historic old Montreal as well as the bus station. The staff were quite obliging when I requested a room change. Having a fridge in the room was an asset. A kettle would be a nice addition.
The building is older so the walls are not sound proof. If you have a noisy guest it is easy to hear them. A sign at the desk requesting quiet after 11:00 p.m might help to alert those who come in late to tone the noise down; no loud cell phone calls or slamming doors.
We enjoyed a quiet and comfortable room, and found it to be clean and welcoming.
Clean and comfortable rooms despite the building is old.
No proper and secure luggage storage facility.
Everything was great - easy check-in and check-out, comfortable bed, very clean room. Excellent location - close to Old Montreal.
The walls are very thin, but other than hearing the next room's shower loud and clear, the neighbours were quiet. I only mention it in case this is a deal-breaker for others.
Paying for parking. It should be included.
very comfy bed
wifi speed was decent, but it dropped a number of times. they should consider giving free late checkout options is low-season.
Loved the outstanding service by the front door staff. Due to some lock difficulties and the wait time to repair, we were offered a free upgrade to a premium room for the duration of our stay (due to room availability). This alone made our stay outstanding! Thank you! WiFi was easy to access, and close walking distance to lots of areas including Chinatown, restaurants, and bars.
Check in person forgot to mention the awesome grotto-lounge downstairs with the microwave, TV, pool table, etc. Only discovered it after check-out, and could have made use of it! Still, not bad though.
i wanted a comfortable budget hotel in a great, walkable location and I found it! Best front desk staff, comfortable rooms at a great price. Heartily recommend!
exhuberant cleaning staff a bit noisy in morning, but at least they were laughing. Lol
1-The location is great. 2-The staff is prompt to assist and find solution. 3-The fourth floor is better for a night of deep sleep (if that's what you like). 4- The welcoming bottle of water is "bienvenue" but it should be the big bottle (one and half litter) not the 1/4 litter. 5- Nice to be there!!!!
1-the small fridge is located in the closet (along with ironing table, iron and other things i.e. hungers). 2- the wood of the floor needs some painting or shinning stuff to make it like new.
Beautiful cave-like pool room or meeting room in basement.
This hotel is very well kept - the common areas are clean and newly renovated. In addition to being clean the rooms have character including ceiling moldings and hardwood floors. The bathrooms are newer and spotless. The room is also equipped with a refridgerator and coffee maker. The parking was in a safe and secure indoor garage. Everything you could ask for at a more reasonable price than some other hotels.
Excellent location. Staff friendly and helpful. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on.
Housekeeping staff were a bit noisy so difficult to sleep in
parking available location is good bed is comfy
parking charged without telling fees and charges are ridiculous staff is stand-offish tv didn't work right bathroom had leak electrical outlet was broken
There was a TV, but you had to watch from the desk. There was a closet, but it was hilariously small. There was a huge window, with the view of a brick wall. And there was cable, but the volume on the remote didnt work. All in all it was a very funny place and I'm not totally sure if it existed in real life or if it was a place that I imagined in my travellers delirium.
Nothing, everything that was bad just made it better.
The staff were great! Helped my friends and I when we had some trouble and were very courteous. It was clean, comfortable and provided us with what we needed.
The rooms are a little smaller than desired but still good in size! The water system was also not up to great comfort but it gets the job done. You get what you pay for.
Great location, comfortable bed, quiet and clean.
Had to get my key cards renewed several times but that's about it.
Very well located.
For people who care about having a great view from their rooms, they may not find it here. That's not my case though.
Really like the location and how it was close to everything. We were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. Metro station was right around the corner. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was super helpful in guiding us where to eat and check out some cool areas. Would stay here again for the next time we visit.
The hotel is conveniently located and close to the city centre. The room was very clean and comfortable
The furniture is a little outdated, but this is really a minor issue.
- the room was cleaned ona daily basis - there was a coffee machine in the room - there was a great variety of restaurants within a walking distance - the hotel was quiet
- in Europe the hose in the shower can be detached from the position above ones head, which contributes to a warmer and more relaxing shower
Location location location - right on St. Denis and close to many attractions, including the gay village. Reserved parking is a plus.
The hotel facilities are very basic, but at this price point and in this location, this was expected. The hotel is clean and comfortable. There's no real reason to hang out in one's hotel room in Montreal, and we didn't.
Room so clean, excellent location and service was good
Only thing that sucked was our key kept resetting everyday so had to keep getting new ones
