Score from 227 reviews Very good
Wi-Fi included; able to park close to the room; free parking; onsite breakfast; free and easy access to the business centre; vending machines; Very good location for getting to the university.
Air was much too dry which made it uncomfortable in the room; Getting the breakfast vouchers became a hassle; invoice was not provided before I checked out; Didn't have inexpensive/ light breakfast options.
Very clean quiet
seemed overpriced for the size of the room
The hotel is very close to the airport but surroundings not noisy. The town center is within walking distance of half-hour to fourty minutes walk.
Breakfast. Heavy, fat; served and slow.
We were getting close to the end of our stay and it was so relaxing around Kenny's Pond, walking around and around, we had a picnic there and even played crazy golf, something we haven't done in many years. After a busy and fun time we enjoyed the surroundings of the Holiday Inn.
Reliable quality facility and customer service from the Holiday Inn brand. All staff were very helpful and friendly. My room was large, spacious, well-appointed with a wonderful bed!! The location is good. By car, it's less than 10 minutes to the airport and about 15 minutes to the shops and sights of Water and Duckworth streets.
I wanted to be right downtown for the type of activities I was going to be doing and had in fact put a B&B downtown originally. I had moved to the Holiday Inn when I found out the B&B I'd booked had closed unexpectedly. I was very happy with the Holiday Inn and would stay there again.
There were a few problems: - breakfast was not complimentary, rather we had a $20 voucher towards food at the hotel. For two persons the voucher wasn't sufficient for even a simple breakfast. - the room was too pricey for the age of the hotel. - we found a dead bug under our bedsheets
Way too expensive
Location and East Side Marios
Most everything else A dog barked most of the day up til 1-2am despite policy against this. Noisy wedding party for 2 of the 3 nights A movie was downloaded when my husband was going through the channels and he was given 60sec to delete and was unable to find "delete" so we paid for a movie we didn't watch. It was a porn movie. It should not have been so easy to get into as it could have been a child using the remote. We paid $650 for 3 nights. I paid $1000 for 8 nights in downtown (Davie St) Vancouver in May/14. No comparison to the comfort. It was a suite with a separate bedroom, spa 4star restaurant (Moxie's)and walking distance to Stanley park and downtown shopping
I liked the fact that I booked 2 rooms and they were close together.. I did the same at another hotel and one room was on one level and the second was on a completely different level..
I don't like that I have to book seperate rooms because we're a family of 5 I have young kids 8 years and younger.. But thats with every hotel unless there's a suite
Rooms were very clean. beds were comfortable.
Fire ststion across the street as a result a bit noisy at night with sirens.
It's in a nice area, quiet, close to shopping, and not too far from the downtown scene...
One of the reasons we chose this hotel at this time, was because it had an outdoor pool...unfortunately, they forgot to mention to us when we booked our room that it was closed for the summer!
Quiet, clean, comfortable room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Seemed to have quick, easy access to everything from the hotel. Nice little walking path, with interesting history, located right behind the hotel - nice way to start or end the day!!
Unfortunately, the pool was not available because of the restructuring - but the pool area will be very nice when completed.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.
It was a nice room, quiet.
Breakfast menu was overly expensive.
The room was clean and comfortable
The bathroom is way to small.the hair dyer did not work all the time and it was very noisy at night.
I liked that the staff were friendly and the room was very clean and wasn't noisy
I only wanted one bed but not a huge deal
