This rustic hotel features unique cabins, which include private decks with barbecue facilities. The property located between the Selkirk and Purcells Mountain Ranges and is within a 5-minute hike of the Columbia River. Microwaves and refrigerators are standard in cabins at the Steamboat Mountain Chalets. The cabins feature wood decor and some include a wood burning fireplace. Guests can relax in one of the hotel hot tubs or tell stories around the outdoor fire pit. The hotel also has outdoor games available to guests or rent a canoe for adventures on the Columbia River. The Steamboat is 71 km from the Kicking Horse Mountain Ski Resort. The property is within a hour drive of Kootenay National Park. This was a charming, rustic retreat. We so enjoyed our time away from the hussel and bussel of city living. The colors of the tree's were unbelieveable. There were other visitors there and I believe that we all enjoyed the quiet. We would have enjoyed staying longer.

Cute cabins, friendly owner. The honey shop next door is amazing, and the cafe right beside was very good. The cabins were amazing and cute. The Columbia Valley was gorgeous, but the cabins were all clumped together , in a vehicle junk yard. I was hoping for more seclusion and trees. No access to the river across the street, no help on local hiking trails.

Absolument tout. Accueil extrèmement convivial, même familiale. Nous étions attendus, chambre aérée, d'une propretée exemplaire. Cette étape sur notre route vers Radium et Canemore fut un régal. Notre chalet était isolé de la route 93 pas trop passante. La terrasse, avec BBC, table et chaises faisait face à la montagne et donnait sur une vaste pelouse avec des parterres de fleurs. Nous avons pu manger et petit déjeuner dehors sur la terrase avec en prime un ballet extraordinaire de colibris. De la route, il ne faut pas manquer l'entrée du petit chemin, Spillimachen n'est qu'un lieu dit avec quelques maisons. A l'office nous pouvions trouver tout ce qu'il faut pour manger. Pour les amateurs de nature et de convivialité, cette étape à seulement 29 kms de Radium est à recommander sans réserve. Qualité, prix, gentillesse des hôtes imbattables !!! Pour ceux qui le peuvent pousser une visite à la ville de Kimberley, 130 kms plus au sud. Ville surprenante où nous avons l'impression de nous retrouver en Bavière.

The place is inexpsnsive, relaxed, and has an outdoor firepit. The cabin is VERY small, and a bit close to railway tracks.
