The staff were very helpful. The presence of a coffee shop on the premises.
Noise from other units. Smoke smell in non-smoking rooms.
bed sheets smelled clean. I slept well / my wife did not the diner had very good food & service (thumbs up). The front desk clerk was honest he could have saved me $3 if I called and booked.
Paid before I stayed-bad idea. Won't do that again I will look at the room first. 2 lamps did not work. Asked for new bulbs then found out the lamps were unplugged. 1 lamp had a burnt shade, the other had a burnt plug & plugged into a receptacle with no cover plate located behind the mattress. We did not use the lamps (hazard warning). Bath tub was very dirty (we did not bathe). No coffee maker in suite (it may overload the circuits)
Everything you would expect in an 80$ room
The pillows and bathroom were garbage
Beds were soft Recently repainted Amazing location Super cost effective for the location There is a restaurant (but we didn't partake there)
Old fixtures & unreliable lamps A few cigarette burns on the blankets Really weird layout for the bathroom. Office was locked at 9:30am so I couldn't return my key there, had to leave it in our room. It's more of a MOTEL rather than an Inn.
no coffee in room
Bed was really comfortable No noice from other rooms or traffic
shower was terrible, water could not be adjusted so very hot or very cold
There was no wifi and no coffee pot in the hotel. There was only one small garbage none in the bathroom and with no one there after 11 pm makes it inconvenient if your key doesn't work after that
Horrible. First off the worker had moved our reservation because someone with a similar had said they want to move it! So we apmost got screwed. Then it took her an hour to check us in. Moldy room drunks banging on doors so cops come. Terrible stay away
We had to wait 2 hours for our room and then had to go to the office because the room had not been cleaned. The room above us was awake and noisy
Location and great value
Nothing. Next time will pay twice as much and stay at the Delta.
Parking lot tailgate party and loud noise. Listening to neighbor vomiting. Food left in fridge not cleaned. TV circa 1970 poor picture Clerk told me I paid $10 a night more by booking online through booking.com. Should have called and booked directly I guess. Would have saved 30 bucks.
Dirty, noisy , I could not sleep the whole night .
Paper thin walls, dated furniture. Needs fresh paint everywhere. No in room coffee. Very noisy.
The bed was comfortable.
There was a constant smell of cigarette smoke, even though we requested a non-smoking room, there were obvious stains on the furniture and upholstery, and noise from other rooms easily penetrated the thin walls in which we were staying. One of the chairs was not in good condition.
Impossible to sleep with constant noise from other rooms
Rooms need upgrading, at night outside my room people were fighting and yelling. I called 0 for front desk nobody answered. They said a after hours number is posted in office door. I was supposed to get up get dressed and walk past the fight to get the number to staff for help. Pathetic!!! No safety in place for customers for any emergency.
Toilet wouldn't flush. Tub wouldn't drain. Ant crawled across my boyfriend in bed.
Location was convenient for us, shopping was close by for any necessities. Front counter staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Bathroom was so small you could hardly turn around in it (and I'm not a big person). Bedspreads were very dated and seemed like they hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. I felt that $110.00 plus taxes per night was way too high for the accommodation. Perhaps I'm out of touch with pricing in Calgary.
Great location, friendly staff
Needs updating and fixing up. Ice room smelled of urine, very hot in room, thermostat not working & fell apart, lots of smokers, Not worth the price as is!
It was clean, no smell
Could use some paint and spiffing up
Very accommodating front desk staff
I liked having shaw on the T.V. and being able to watch some of the channels with movies, without having to order them. There was actually SOMETHING on T.V. you weren't just forced to order a movie just to have something to watch. The beds were comfy, the air conditioner was nice to have it was very warm in that room! The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet.
Terrible Wifi, would get one bar and every 10-15 minutes it would cut out no mater which channel I chose. The bathroom was kinda grungy.. mainly the bathtub wasn't cleaned fully. Had a leaky tap which contributed to that. For Breakfast maybe make a deal with the restaurant downstairs if someone is staying at the hotel they get a certain amount off of whatever they buy? Otherwise everything was pretty good.
It was a dirty motel.
Not much I liked.
I had no heat in my room and no extra blanket was provided. I got back to my room very late and would have to wait for someone to come by calling the emergency line. By that time it wouldn't have mattered. Took a shower and the smoke detector went off. TV did not work. Could not connect to wifi. No alarm clock or coffee pot in room. Ice bucket no bigger than a glass. No sign to put on door for cleaning (ha) crew to stay out. Run down and very dated. Absolutely no perks to stay in this hotel. Cigarette burns in blankets, sheets, floor and counters. One lamp did not work all drawers were busted no fan in bathroom. Big burn hole in one of the lamp shades and grossest of all is for my second night stay there sheets were not changed on my bed they just made it which makes me wonder if they even changed the sheets prior to my visit. Also I booked my hotel stay online and they over charged me and I had to argue the fact that I had booked it at the following price so that is what I should be charged and no more. Despite all if this there was no offer for anything from them to try and appease the situation. All I got was blame on my end. Telling me that I should have called the emergency line so they could have transferred me to another room, but at 430 am I was more concerned with sleep than waiting for someone to come and waste my time with this. If they had the decency to check the room prior to guests arrival that wouldn't have been an issue. I will never stay there again and I will be sure to tell others if my stay there so they will not have to waste their time. For what you pay for a night there you might as well save yourself some grief and pay a little more to stay somewhere much better.
The night staff member was helpful and kind in spite of the problems mentioned below. The bed was comfortable.
This is a cheap motel, so set your expectations accordingly. It's also located along a major roadway, so it's noisier than average. Don't book here if you can't sleep through traffic noise. It's rather pricy for what you get, but that describes most of Calgary. Their credit/debit card machine was out of order, so I had to withdraw cash from their ATM at my expense. There were also problems sorting out the actual cost of the room due to problems with their computer system (bring along your booking receipt), and my room key didn't initially work. I've never had so many problems getting into a room, and it's frankly unacceptable in this day and age for management to have their technological services in such a sorry state. I could tell the young man who helped me at the front desk was annoyed and embarrassed by all the problems we encountered.
