Score from 1311 reviews Good
Nice big and comfortable room. Good value for money.
Shower pressure is poor. Lifts are dirty and tired in desperate need of an uplift.
Paid wifi the only negative.
The shower head in my room was very old and was not adjustable. It was misty rather than fully flowing. It should be replaced.
Location is THE BEST.
The WiFi should be included in the rate per day, I do not remember paying for that elsewhere.
The location, friendly staff, good value
Missing equipment in the gym( weight) replacement of kitchen crockery ie: corkscew etc... not done! Place looks a little untidy in some places
THE ELEVATORS WERE DIRTY INSIDE, AS YOU COME FROM THE PARKING GARAGE TO THE HOTEL IS VERY DIRTY AND NOT WELCOMING
Good location, close to metro stations (Peel, McGill). Rooms are spacious and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good brakfast and a pleasant space.
State of the elevator. Smell of cooked food in the morning (as early as 6 pm) that comes from the kitchen and goes all the way up (even if you are in the 18th floor and above). It is a bit noisy, if your room is on Sherbrooke street side. Bathrooms are really updated and lack of ventilation.
Excellent location, great price for a suite with a kitchenette. Walk to shopping and sightseeing. Close to transit.
Kitchen has limited utensils, but OK for making your breakfast if you remember to bring your essentials.
Location Big rooms Comfortable bed
Small bathroom Paying for wifi sucks in 2014 Didnt really see where the 4 stars were.
The staff were very nice and helpful
The room was nice and the bed was excellent! Short waling distance to most of the downtown sights.
At first glance the room looked very fresh, but a bit closer inspection - especially in the bathroom - revealed that it was in need of refurbishment. Old tiles, cracked corners and the faucets were creaky. The doors and cupboards were also a bit on the 80s side. But the main room was great!
Walked to St Catherine ,Crescent , St Laurent, McGill University. Staff were great, parking attendants very helpful.
Pool Seasonal , Elevators small , charge for Wi Fi
No air circulation.
a little noisy from the air conditiion
From the start to the end of our trip we had a great time. Hotel Cantlie Suites was a very nice hotel. The hotel is in the heart of downtown and walking distance to almost anything. I would definatley go back.
I had no issues or concerns.
Great location to the Bell Centre and downtown fun.
Took long for the hot water to arrive. At best the showers were medium temperature.
paying for wifi
the location is good in walking distance from shops and happenings around. meals a la carte are good and if u happen to be on top floor rooms, u may enjoy the view...
I lost a new item when i changed rooms and told the staff about it. They just told me that everything lost is placed in "lost and found" as if i had left and was calling on phone. The staff did not seem bothered and there was no sense of urgency....maybe to check who exactly worked in the room prior to the loss. For a hotel with no safe lock and staff just answer in such fashion, it is obvious u don't expect such from 4 star hotel
very good location mid of everything, nice staff, good space in suit rooms.
you have to pay for wifi everday, room furnitures and bathrooms are very old..
First, the gate of their entrance was NOT working well. Everyone has to wait extra time every time to pass that door. Second, the heat of my room makes tons of noise, it was such a nightmare. And, they are the first hotel that who has a limitation for your wifi devices. It only allows you can only have three wifi devices for each room. They even charge 5$ for every night. Over all, it is just a hotel that are almost bad at everything. I don't even know how would they still have the business.
Convenient to Mount Royal and close to Biodome and Botanical Gardens. Good for visitors. Valet parking.
The Pool, very comfortable beds, the kitchen, very nice area. I would always stay again in this hotel.
High fee for slow WLAN - I think it should be free.
kitchen was great to have; bed was really comfortable, great location
Someone let themselves into our room in the morning.. yikes!! Didn't announce themselves and then left.
Very good value in a good location. Comfortable bed.
Lock to room did not work properly.
Location and kitchen.
In the early morning around 5am had 3 very inebriated people in the elevator with us. Security was lax as they had open liquor bottles they were asking us to drink. They were not harmful, but another group might have been more aggressive.
