Keurig coffee maker. The setting
Rooms fairly small
location - close to the best vineyard/wine shop in the area! along with highway access. Surprisingly quiet. Beds comfortable.
Stairs to the 2nd level (fine for younger folk but realize that motel was fully booked.
The shampoo is terrible
Stayed in room 117, was very clean, staff was helpful
Too close to highway, can get noisy, but there's room behind the building which might be quieter
last minute booking, great value for the dollar, felt clean, safe, and comfortable. rooms were very large and appeared to be freshly renovated, even had a patio to enjoy morning coffee on. will be back, and have already spread the word :-)
the staff were great and very friendly the rooms were nice and comfy and sound proof was a great stay
Nice clean and spacious Close to Penticton Bed was good
Proximity to the road meant a bit a road noise. Nothing earplugs couldn't solve (which I travel everywhere with)
The staff was so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond, even helping me to open a stubborn wine bottle. The hotel is right along the highway, but you can walk across the street to a lovely beach park. Wifi connection was perfect and the TV has a great selection. A Keurig coffeemaker too! My dog and I had a pleasant stay.
There is no place to walk for food or coffee except a gas station. Noisy air conditioner.
I always stay at the Summerland Motel when I come to visit my friends. Comfortable, clean and easy to find.
It isn't the motels fault but the motel was full and some people used 2 parking spaces to park their vehicles so by the time I got in I had to park on the side street as the parking lot was full. There were a couple of very noisy customers as well, banging doors at 1 in the morning but again not the motels fault. Some people just have no consideration.
We were put in the older building, there was no mention of a newer section. Patio was not private, but part of others, people were smoking in the garden area, and the garden was not well maintained, lots of ants crawling around, and dry lawn... Ice machine did not work/keep up, and the weather was hot! Way overpriced. Desk clerks were not friendly or helpful, I had the impression they might be the owners, but really didn't have a clue. Also, they were both trying to do the phone and work on one computer at the same time. Very unproductive...
Really appreciated the staff accommodating our needs - when asked if we were happy with the room and replied that it was a bit small for our family of five, we were promptly moved to a different room with a microwave. Loved the quiet courtyard and being able to have meals outside. The Keurig machine was a nice surprise. Only 10 minutes from Penticton.
Need more pool chairs.
Summerland is a beautiful place.Peaceful.
Pillows uncomfortable. Would of been very nice to have a table in the room. And a microwave...but that was another $50.00 a night.
No continental breakfast, air conditioner very loud, missing fixtures, room not spacious, their was a water boil alert so we had to supply our own drinking water.
Kitchen open to back atea
Very nice motel clean nice grounds
No restaurant liquorstore near
The motel was very clean and comfortable and quiet.
The entry way was kind of congested
Excellent location Room overlooked garden area Easy access to pool Cleaning staff very nice
The lobby at times had a very strong doggy odour, and sometimes they used a floral type fragrance to mask it, but it just made it smell worse. After our room was vacuumed it would smell "doggy". They forgot to clean our room one day.
location. Easy to find.
terrible house keeping. Rather shabby for amount it cost.
As indicated, I was impressed with the facilities. The air conditioning was a must and a very comfortable feature.
Not your fault but I was very unimpressed with Summerland Taxi, the only local service. They missed a pickup arranged by phone late Saturday night ,at 0545 Sunday morning. Hence, I missed my bus departure at 0615. I did hook up with Courtesy Taxi, making the Kelowna bus connection to Vancouver, it cost me $163.00. The alternative would have been another night at your motel as well as new bus fare to Victoria...Who knows when that company mans the phone on Sundays! I give full compliments to Courtesy Taxi of Penticton. They service Summerland as the second company in Penticton does not. I would suggest you change your phone link to Courtesy Taxi from the deadbeat Summerland outfit.
loved the location to everything, great courtyard and bbw facility
no staff when to check out, couldn't sleep cause of partiers up stairs, on hwy , pool was freezing minor details
Very clean and nicely updated. Good quality for the money.
Busy street to get out of but the manager showed me how to get around to a light.
Quiet garden setting behind motel
Missed the morning breakfast room
The courtyard was so shady and cool. Having the room back onto the pool/courtyard area was wonderful. The staff were extremely kind sang helpful. Everything was over clean and welcoming
The supplies in the kitchenette we very cheap. The BBQs are in a fenced off area that in in the blazing sun. Thought I was going to die cooking dinner! And again very cheap utensils for the BBQ.
If you are going to the wineries or just passing through it's ok.
Staff at front desk was not friendly. Rooms were quite stuffy and uncomfortable. We had stayed in the old end of the motel.
