Score from 39 reviews Very good
I liked the room itself and appreciated that with the hotel almost empty, they placed us with a view to the slopes. Off season meant it was nice and quiet.
The hotel restaurant was closed for three days for renovations and there were very limited dining facilities open in the area which would have been nice to know in advance. The bathroom was not swept with room service.
This was our first visit to Sun Peaks and what we found exceeded our expectations. Although we were there in the off season and many restaurants and services were closed we still found enough open to fill our hungry tummies. The Sun Peaks Grand was amazing! Our kingsize room was very clean & comfy, the staff friendly & helpful.
Nice people ,beautiful hotel, underground parking, good food.
The parking spaces are way too small in the underground parking. It did not affect us because we had many, many parking spaces available, but I could not imagine how awful it would be if we were there during peak season! You have to make spaces bigger and repainted the lines.
The outside pool is perfect!
The location is a bit far away. But it worthy!
- good service, good staff - facilities - value for money - good restaurant - good cocktails
- no gas station in Sun Peaks
The hotel was wonderful, we only stayed one night, it was great. The room was huge, lots of room for the kids to play. Super clean, there was no dust anywhere. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. Overall it was a trip that makes us want to come back.
The restaurant menu was a bit expensive.
location to mountain request for top for acknlowedged concert happening right beside hotel, but the noise level was surprisingly low secure underground parking ($13/night though) restaurant is a little blah - prices high and menu identical as a offsite restaurant
smell of room (and lounge room) was funky - almost dusty? room was hot (i'm usually cold) - the fan or air conditioning would wake me the multiple times it came on
cost of parking average quality of breakfast being situated well away from our friends noisy airconditioning no bathrobes
Having an outdoor swimming pool and spa tub outside is a must, even in the mountains. It still gets quite hot here at Sunpeaks, during the summer months. The Grand also has air conditioning, which made for a good nights rest!
pet friendly facilities and pool friendly staff walking trails
too expensive for one night pet fee parking fee no pet bed or dish supplied pet not allowed in most facilities
Perfect 2 day getaway..superb value and luxury.
All staff were excellent and friendly.
Young guys were so noisy outside at night (Aug.2) even until almost 2:30am.
Loved the central location, swimming pool & service
I booked a valley view room on booking.com & on check in that was not stated in my booking, I was given a parking lot view room and requested it be changed, the staff was excellent and changed my room for me.
Location to events perfect
Nice rooms, wonderful beds and very friendly staff.
They need to work on the quality of their food. Very important when they charge what they do.
Excellent breakfast served by friendly chap.
Lots of mosquitoes around outside during time of our visit.
Excellent staff, special thanks to Ryan the waiter in the restaurant, very pleasant and professional.
We like the chair lift to the top. Like to see the mountain bikers. Especially love the wild flowers at the top. Rented Segways and really enjoyed that. Swimming pool and hot tub all great.
Dinner menus was limited, and breakfast coffe was not hot.
I was in a room that had a loud droning noise and I got no sleep the first night. I was provided an alternative room for my second night. However I was only offered a 25% discount for my first night which I didn't feel was good enough considering that I got no sleep and we had a power cut on my first evening. I had been living for a month with limited power and no access to the internet so I needed to catch up on a lot of things and was unable to.
See above. I enjoyed the use of the pool and the hot tub. The rooms were clean and the staff service was good.
We went in the off season - no skiing or Mountain biking open but still have a great time. Hotel staff were really friendly. Hot tubs and Pool divine!! Food and service in the restaurant was great and Kirsten in Housekeeping went above and beyond for us. Between ski season and bike season the place is a little quiet but still great.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Attractive hotel, excellent Mother's Day breakfast
The booking process because of the change of ownership became frustrating! Had booked one room and when I added a second room, Delta indicated that the first reservation did not exist. At no time did they offer an explanation about the chance of ownership! Eventually gave up dealing with Delta and booked the second room through Booking.com after more than 30 minutes of a very frustrating conversation.
The amenities (hot tub, workout facilities) and friendly staff.
I had booked for two nights and then added one night at the beginning of the trip. The hotel was not able to allow me to stay in the same room for the following two nights, which was unfortunate but not that big of a deal. However, during the transition between rooms they could not guarantee me that i could stay in the room until the other room was ready. However, as I did not want to leave the room and wait somewhere else I just stayed in the room until the new room was available. I thought that the hotel could have been more accommodating on this matter without me having to stand my ground.
Dinner meal was 10 plus at Mantles
Real comfy beds
We found a hair in the kettle
Most of the staff were awesome.
One staff member was a little preachy because we needed more bath towels...I told him there was 4 of us in our room, which we advised and confirmed when we booked the room, but there were only two towels. He then proceeded to tell me that they could charge us $30.00/person more...huh??? We booked our room with 4 people prior...I was confused and getting preached to...not cool.
