Score from 318 reviews Very good
Everything about this hotel is great. We have now visited Whistler twice and both times stayed at the Sundial, and will do so again in the future.
No negatives as we love this hotel.
Location to ski lift, gondola, and ski lesson to book is great. Also, end of ski or snow board, children had to walk short distance. Only two elevator but was fine.
No one at the front desk answering a phone call from midnight.
This is a great hotel, a good value for the area. Not pretentious, not apologetic. Close to everything, , heated parking, at hill base. You don't need to drive, (anywhere.)
Can hear others in their washrooms. Would prefer better sheets, a duvet, and a feather (or less bulky) pillow option. Heating and cooling is hit and miss with the separate bedroom. Parking is $21 extra a day.
pretty much everything
We like pretty much everything, except the bed linen was stiff, very clean but not soft.
Hot tub on balcony was awesome, room we'll appointed, bed and pillows very comfortable, kitchen was well equipped and the heated floors in the bathroom was a nice touch. Excellent location in the village.
The need to do something about the showers. Poor pressure and the rain shower head was so close to the wall that it was uncomfortable.
Wonderfully well equipped kitchen. Excellent wi-fi reception and speed. Location is fabulous. Generously sized tub. Heated slate floor in bathroom was very nice.
Lighting adequate as "mood" lighting, but no good task lighting if you're wanting to work/read. AC unit continued to intermittently blow cold air in short (fortunately) spurts despite everything I tried to turn it completely OFF. Temperature of the suite stayed comfortable all the same, using the heat and having the fireplace on; but the air conditioner was unnecessary and annoying.
The friendly staff, convenient location, easy access to pub & restaurant facilities, and access, rooftop hot tub. Very quiet & comfortable room.
The coffee maker was a bit confusing to use and the toaster barely toasted, A little bit of wear & tear, here & there - nothing serious.
We were a family with two young children staying in the one bedroom suite. It was so spacious with a large kitchen which was super helpful as I was making a thanksgiving dinner. The bedroom was also huge accommodating a toddler bed, playpen, and king size bed with lots of room to walk around. The place was very clean and housekeeping did a great job of tidying up. We used the online concierge to book a playpen and highchair and babysitting for one night. Everything went as requested. Very cool.
WiFi was slow, then stopped working altogether. Lots of noise from the clubs until they close.
The room was well designed with a good kitchen - more like a small apartment than a hotel room....very good location with partial view.
Parking is extra and expensive. The attached pub needs upgrading.
Location, appearance and wonderful staff. We even met Dave the owner twice!
Loved everything about the Sundial Hotel.
The bar directly across from the hotel plays very loud music until 12-1 a.m. on weekends. We are a young couple who stayed up past then, but we still found the music to be disruptful. The only negative aspect of the Sundial.
Friendly staff great suite
All the Kitchen Amenities Big Spacious Rooms
Housekeeping Services (requests for extra blankets/toiletries etc was slow)
No swimming pool
Loved the full kitchen and the heated floors in the bathroom. Loved being in the village at the base of the mountain. It poured rain most of our visit, but the suite was so big and comfy we didn't mind staying in as much as we did.
It was reno season all over the village. The property across from our suite was in full reno mode and we were woken up each morning to the sounds of construction.
The room was absolutely stunning, worth every penny. I would definitely stay there again.
Sometimes the room was a little too warm. I turned off all the heaters in my room and opened the windows but it didn't really help.
The location is perfect, it is really close to the gondola。
I head a big loudly noise at midnight.
The suite was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Great value and possibly the best place to stay in Whistler, close to everything.
Fire alarm and evacuation at 1:00 am, only one staff person on duty with no plan in place to ensure the building was safely cleared. Turned out to be false, possibly set off by pranksters. Wi-fi was down for a full day.
Fabulous location right at the foot of the slopes and in the heart of the village. The hotel staff were genuinely helpful and the rooms were very cosy.
The construction right in front of our hotel. I know it is only for a few months but it would have been nice if I were told upfront.
The room was nice, the staff was friendly and helpful.
There is construction being done right next door. They started working at 7am was very loud. Was not happy waking up that early on a holiday.
A spacious, even sumptuous suite with all mod cons. Staff very attentive. Central location with access to all villages.
Construction and club noise a little too intrusive.
We were wanting a room with a view of village which we didn't end up getting . As soon as I mentioned it.to the staff they made arrangements to have us upgraded to a 2,bedroom with the view we wanted. Was a beautiful stay and so Central to everything.
overall the location & facilities were excellent. use of pool in hotel located beside the sundial. food in hotel bar was not great which was our only fault.
Very nice hotel right in the heart of the village. The rooms were large with a nice sitting room and had a kitchen with dining area. I think there was a sofa bed in the sitting room so quite easily could have 4 people sharing. Parking was in the underground car park and just an elevator ride straight to your room. Just a few minutes walking distance to the gondola for Peak to Peak ride, which was well worth the money. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and grocery stores if you wanted to get your own supplies. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Whistler.
Very comfortable hotel. The suite was amazing. Lots of space and a well equipped kitchen. It's very handy for ski lifts and is surrounded by eating options.
Nothing. I loved this hotel.
