The male and female two reception staff were extremely helpful and had some great ideas...... They were so helpful and happy to answer all our questions......it was our first visit to the city and we are so glad that we booked to return to the Sunset on Saturday after our visit to Victoria. This is an ideal place to stay to explore Vancouver. ps the jellybeans and morning papers were appreciated and JUST THE JOB! Thank you.

Clean, comfortable room; very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable reception staff. Loved the free wi-fi, daily newspaper and the fact that I could book my Big Bus Tour from the front desk. One of the bus stops was literally around the corner from the Inn. The hotel was also within walking distance from English Bay and Stanley Park which was a real bonus. A short, inexpensive taxi ride away from the shopping district and Gastown. Good self-service breakfast every morning.

Ability to self cater as we wished being as we stayed for 6 nights. Large room size. Large bed. Free simple breakfast provide that you could take to your room. Helpful staff. Clean and comfortable. Good location for resteraunts and food shops, everything on the doorstep. For a citi centre hotel we thought it was good value and would return. We have already recommended to a friend. Only one easy chair was a bit limiting. Otherwise everything exceeded our expectations.

staff were nice and helpful, room was nice, bed, sheets, pillow and blanket were very comfortable, didn't want to get out of bed!, kitchen was spacious, free dvd player and movie library was nice touch. room was a bit cold and took some effort to warm up, the heater-fan was a little noisy. the t.v. is on it's last legs, the picture being slightly faded. the "do not disturb" sign must not hang on the door very well as our room was "disturbed" in our absense and the sign was gone from the door. (i did notice that it fell off easilly). too bad there was no mini-bar or room service, we decided we wanted a beer a bit late at night and because of the b.c. laws we had no option but to go out to a bar or restaraunt which we opted not to do.

The facility was clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly. We were upgraded to an executive suite from a standard and this proved to be a nice and very welcome surprise. There are many bars and restaurants in the area and it's a short walk down to the river to get the ferry to Granville Island.

The room made me relax, so I felt at home. Staff always greeted me with a smile. This is conveniently located for shopping, sightseeing and eating out. The varieties of breakfast were a bit scanty.

When we arrived in Vancouver our eldest daughter, who is studying at ubc, asked if she could stay with us for the 3 nights. The Manager was very obliging & upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment that slept our family of 5 comfortably.....and for only $20/night extra. We were very impressed. The service and attention to all our needs continued for the duration of our stay. The apartment was very clean & well maintained. I think Sunset Inn & Suites seemed to be much higher than the star rating it was given on the website. I didn't that Sunset Suites was in West End which isn't the most attractive part of Downtown Vancouver.

Our studio room was quite large with a small, but full kitchen and immaculate. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel has a great location in the West End in a residential area primarily composed of apartments and condos. It is quiet, but still within a block or two of restaurants and shops. It is also within walking distance from the downtown area of Vancouver. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Decent kitchen. A bit rundown: Vanity counter had chips; blanket had holes. Sheets were not changed so stains remain. Concierge did not know bus routes well and directed us to the wrong bus station. There are no extra amenities. Complimentary breakfast was all cold foods.

Great quiet location yet near to restaurants and just round the corner from the hop-on hop-off bus and an easy 20minute walk to the city centre. Very helpful welcoming staff. Clean, very spacious suite with a full kitchen and dining area. The bed was very comfortable. An enjoyable stay.

Our suite was clean and nicely decorated. We had a lovely view of the city. The size of the suite allowed us to relax and enjoy down tome. The suite was well appointed. Our kitchen had everything we needed. It was fun to go to the markets and bring home local specialties to prepare. Staff was helpful and cordial. The locatio was perfect for walking everywhere. We didn't need our rental car. We would highly recommend this venue and would definitely return.
