Loved having room for all of us athletes who were at a competition, and for our friends who dropped by to visit.
Didn't like how there weren't any coffee shops or restaurants nearby.
It was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful with directions.
Under construction/remodelling. Not nearly enough stocked with clean towels, soap etc. At check out time we had to wait quite awhile for attention and service.
The suite/apartment was extremely roomy, very clean and comfy and with very nice furnishings in pretty good taste and a superb HD TV with free cable. It stands alongside a busy, noisy highway, but the soundproofing in our room was good enough for this not to be a bother.
The outside was under repairs and the building and hallways etc had a bit of lost-in-the-70s vibe. Very Twilight Zone - but in the end we found this rather cool. It is most definitely a service apartment - not a hotel and there are no real hotel amenities, not even an ice machine.
we had a newly renovated unit and therefore very clean, comfortable and served the purpose for a last minute stay in Montreal area.
Very old lobby, elevator and had a bad odor at different times of the day. They advertise a beautiful pool. Not true, overgrown grass/weed around the pool, extremely old furniture, not nearly as attractive as they advertise.
The hotel is on the edge of a quiet high-end neighborhood. Very safe to walk around and look at multi-million dollar houses many people can never afford... The hotel is also being renovated, room by room and exterior. The new rooms are 5-star quality, full kitchen, original art on the wall, even nicer than my own house :-) A family owns and runs the hotel. Most likely you will deal with the mother and the daughter. Both are friendly and helpful, but the mother doesn't speak English as much as the daughter. Restaurants are 15min by walking or 3min by car.
In deed, the hotel is being renovated, so it looks pretty bad from the outside as of August 2014. If you get an old room, I am sure it will not be that great as well. So ask for a renovated room, and hope by the time you travel, the renovation is all done.
Staff were quite nice.
This is not a hotel. It's a short term rental apt. Building in a terrible state of decrepitude. Our third floor suite faced the highway off our window by about 60 ft.
Right by the highway 10-20 min drive to downtown. Tv was nice and wifi worked really well.
Place is being remodeled looks like an old abandon building from the outside my room did not look like the pictures looked half way remodeled with drywall patches not even painted furniture looked old not worth 600 bucks for the weekend really only used the place to sleep at nite
Everything about this place is excellent. Don't let the look of outside the building fool you. It's really well renovated inside. Ask for a renovated room.
Not a Con, but I wish there was outdoor light for the seining pool area so we could have swim at night.
The whole unit was very clean including the washrooms and linen. Newly renivated. Quick check in, friendly staff, very reasonably priced.
The exterior of the building and lobby / reception office was dusty and dirty but that may be due to the renovations going on on the outside of the building.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Internet Connection was very slowly We stayed for 6 days but apartment never changed towels. Furnitures are completely different than picture which are indicated in website.
Superb. The girls were very helpful when required. Very centrally located to city centre, airport, local grocery store, bus and train(although we had a car). Will be fantastic when outdoor area with swimming pool and rest of building is fully renovated (currently being renovated).
May be a bit noisy due to renovations (didn't bother us as we were always out), laundry in basement (but this is normal for apartments), had to ask for tea towel, etc (but this was promptly solved by staff). Thanks for a great stay.
Maya provided friendly service! Made our visit to Montreal superb. Thanks Rafael
Ease of access to highway 40; the effort made by Maya and her staff to ensure our comfort as we were the first to use the fully restored suite for 6; the kitchen was excellent. Swimming pool was great to quickly refresh ourselves.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nicely renovated with good kitchen, wi fi, big screen TV and air conditioning. The location was convenient as we could walk out to restaurant etc. on Graham Street.
We were worried when we saw the outside as the place appeared old and run down. But renovations are ongoing and we expect it will all improve. The pool was nice but not heated. A work in progress
Appt is good, big, and comfortable. Also, furniture is nice, baths are so modern, wifi is acceptable. It has swimming pool and balcony. It's good for who want to be relaxed.
The location is far from down town, building is old. Only one elevator. I didn't see any store near me.
I loved having an apartment near the city to use as home base. The accommodations were comfortable for our family of five and the layout of the apartment was such that we could eat, sleep, bathe and relax with ease. I loved that all we had to bring was food and our personal items. The neighborhood behind the complex is lovely to walk through, has shops and parks for playing and purchasing needed items and the metro is within walking distance. The apartment has free parking and a secure front door.
There is not much that I did not like! As a suggestion, there could be more ovenware and utensils for cooking and preparing, but that is a small improvement and not a complaint.
Our room was newly renovated, thus it was in prime condition. We really liked the layout of the suite we rented .
We did not like the traffic noise from the heavily traveled highway adjacent to Sunset Suites.
