Location is excellent
The price was great and fit my trip budget. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My room was clean, quiet and had space to write and use my laptop. Parking was pretty good. Good WiFi connection and lots of TV stations to choose from. There are several restaurants/ food outlets within walking distance. The property is only two blocks from the rapid transit station for trips downtown or elsewhere.
Train stop for down town is just around the corner so we could walk to that. The train is cheap, frequent and fast (about 15 minutes to downtown). Friendly, helpful staff. Good wifi. Breakfast included. Walking distance to several restaurants. Comfortable bed.
Air con was noisy and not very effective.
How close it was to the stadium. We went to the labour day classic so we had parking and were able to go to nearby restaurants. They also gave us a discount.
The staff is friendly
Very clean. Swimming pool was a plus
A bit more expensive than the other surrounding hotels
Old and smell in the room was not good
AC unit had to run full out all night just to make the room temp bearable for sleeping
I liked the location and the friendly staff.
The room had a slight musty smell.
All of your front desk personnel were very friendly, helpful, and great to deal with. Our family had a wonderful stay in your motel. Thank you so much!
a good hotel
sheets were clean as well as the bathroom.
non smoking rooms reaked of smoke. very offensive. needs a good over- haul all together.old bedding. Just not impressed.
The overall location and cleanliness of the room for the amount of time we were actually in it. I also loved how quiet the facility was.
The fact that when the person upstairs took a bath and let the wter drain it came up through our bathtub.
It was a pleasant stay for one night.
This hotel like most spend very little if any time cleaning in the corners, especially in the bathroom. The heat radiant in the bathroom was gross.
we have always enjoyed our stay at the super 8
it would be nice if people in wheelchairs could get to the breakfast.
Really friendly staff. Room was fairly clean.
The breakfast was basically toast and cereal.
we enjoyed our stay. good location to where we going.
The front staff were very good. the rooms were very clean
No Microwaves in some rooms
Helpful staff. Close to Univ of Calgary. Modest but free breakfast.
No iron in room.
the fan noise is rediculios loud when you use bathroom and its on the whole time while the light is on
The person at the desk was extremely helpful as it was the first visit to Calgary. He gave me the number of a dependent cab company. He also printed out directions and a map for me to get to my appointment. Was given information about the rapid train system.
Although the Hotel was good value for the money. I feel that the facility needed some updating.
The motel was within walking distance to many restaurants
Everything else. I booked a room with a queen bed. We were only staying one night so I didn't spend the extra $10 for th king. When we got there the desk clerk told me they didn't have any queen rooms left so we were upgraded to a suite. I assumed the upgrade was a good thing. I was wrong. The so called suite had a double bed and a gross " kitchen" which included a dirty mini fridge and a stove top. Nothing I needed since we were there only for about 7 hours and just to sleep. We have a king bed at home, so sleeping in a double was not fun. Also the walls are very thin, the motel could use an upgrade, and the tv was super old school. Next time I stay in Calgary's motel village (which I will) it will not be at the super 8. I will be spending the extra $20-30 for a real hotel. Oh and their "breakfast" included stale cereal. They were out if muffins when I got there at 6:45am, and their juice machine was broken.
