The bed was comfortable.
We stayed at the Super 8 in order for me to have day surgery at Rockyview Hospital. Because we had to spend a condsiderable amount of time in the room, having wifi was important to us. We had no wifi reception at all even though this hotel advertised that they did have wifi. Apparently there is only 1 router for the whole hotel and the signal is limited at best. Also, the room was not very inviting. We would not stay here again for those reasons even though it is in an excellent location for restaurants and shopping.
Friendly staff that called to make sure everything was okay with my room. Excellent bed comfort. Convenient location to amenities.
Everything was great
Had everything we needed.
Waterslide is probably the fastest hotel slide I've ever experienced. Rooms are on the smaller side. Pool was a bit chilly.
The location, the pool facilities and the cleanliness were the reasons I kept coming back.
All 3 times that I've stayed here, there was an issue when checking in. This was my final stay here, after they canceled my room.
We were in Calgary in part to visit a niece with small children and those children enjoyed the pool and water slide. The young woman at the front desk was pleasant and very accommodating.
We had a king suite but the sitting area was quite small and difficult to maneuver.
Corteous staff Good location Clean room Comfortable bed
Outside lights and signage were not on when we arrived. Gal at the front desk told me it's on a timer. Then the timer needs to be set AT LEAST an hour sooner. It was not easy to see as we approached. Parking lot was dark too.
I had to be moved room was not cleaned. under ware wad left from previous person.
We love staying here as its a very good price. Breakfast is included with your stay which is awesome when you have little ones that are wanting to eat immediately when they wake up. Also the waterslide is a huge draw for us as it makes the kids really look forward to going to stay in the hotel.
Dirty toilet Tv/cable did not pick up several stations, poor volume control Floor mounted HVAC unit really needs cleaning.
My room was clean and comfortable. The location is good: close to a CTRAIN station and full of shops all around.
Some people from the staff were not friendly and the wifi was not continuous in the room. The acoustics was not very good either, you can hear the neighbors
mostly pleasant staff and enjoyed the breakfast, surprised at the choices
Nothing because even the price is not good for the quality and cleanliness of this hotel.
Beds were uncomfortable and visibly sagging when you entered the room. Extremely noisy- walls are very thin-you hear everything beside and above you. Entire second floor smelt like pot when returning at 10pm. Ran out of coffee during there "continental" breakfast and people were lined up out the breakfast room doors looking for food or coffee because there wasn't any left by 9am Staff was very unfriendly. Didn't even ask how our stay was or make eye contact on check out. Rooms were not up to a standard of cleanliness that should be expected in a hotel. When other guests state their was left over hair etc in their bathrooms from previous guests- they are not just unlucky-this seems to be a common issue. For an extra 20$ spend the night across the street at the Wyndham their standards seem to be much higher.
Staff ! Considering I was arriving in the middle of the night after spending Christmas with family and friends, the gal at the front desk (night shift Dec 25th) was obliging and friendly. I commented to her that it was so nice to see a smiling face when I was so tired and she was missing her own Christmas. She found me the room type and location I had requested and even managed to find one with no neighbours on either side so I could have a peaceful sleep !
Personnel were great , very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Heater worked great.
the location was nice and the fact that there were so many conviences of stores was nice.
the breakfast was not kept up with the flow of people that came in and it was very tight quarters for eating especially with a little one. The room was not as clean as it could have been and the smell of bleach was lingering. there was a stain hidden on the bathroom counter and the toilet seat was stained.
This hotel needs a total renovation out dated and beat up and dirty. Parking lots is terrible, elevators dirty and vandalized. a great view of the dish pit in the breakfast area. continental breakfast the poorest I've ever seen. We stayed in the king suite? IS NO SUITE!
The ROOM -- The layout of our room was great and the bed was unbelievably comfortable....will return!!
No attendant at breakfast-no hot food present at 8:15. Desk clerk did not seem interested when I asked her about it. At 9 when hubby went down it had been restocked.
The staff were excellent. Our coffee maker quit working and the young lady at the desk personally delivered another one as was apologetic. I told her it was a machine and they all break down. We had great breakfasts and enjoyed the pool. I will be telling all my friends to stay there. Also located very close to everything. This will be our new home in Calgary in the future trips there.
I don't think there were any negatives.
We had a king suite. Very basic, but this is a 'Super 8' hotel, not a Ritz! Interesting little suite, had a seperate bedroom, made for a very quiet stay! Bed was very nice! We stay in a lot of hotels, and the bed matress and sound transmission thru floors/walls, was every bit as good as hotels like Hyatt and Sheraton. The pool, waterslide and hot tub, were also very nice.
Was tricky to get to actual hotel. Had to kinda drive thru parking lots and service roads, but we made it! Lol Also there was no fitness facility, i was surprised when they have such a nice pool!
Very good location, close to several restaurants and public transit.
The first room we were put in was very dirty (toenail clippings on the floor, popcorn in the bed) and the TV was broken. The second room was clean. The receptionist on the morning shift had troubles in checking us out and accidentally made several erroneous charges to our credit card. When asked about it, she said we were wrong and not understanding the bill. When we asked to speak to a manager, she said a manager was unavailable. After some "discussion" with her for about a half hour, she finally acknowledged the mistakes and refunded the wrong charges, but refunded them to the wrong card.
There was a room available last minute.
The shady activity next door until 4am. Paper thin walls.
We enjoyed the kingsized room as we had grandkids with us. The pool was great.
The refrig definitately needing deorderizing. The smell was not good.
Wifi was really slow, had to go coffee shop for I ternet One of its reception was not nice
