I loved this hotel in fact so much so that I cancelled an alternate hotel for my return trip to stay here again. It has a great atmosphere, the staff could not be more helpful and I would single out Zaeem in particular here who managed to run the front desk with maximum efficiency, whilst still being able to deal with any particular request or question you had and it was all in a days work for him and you genuinely felt that nothing was to much trouble for him. I was also really impressed with the size of the rooms, the cleanliness and comfort and quality of the beds and linen. Free safe, microwave and fridge in your room, great tv and coffee/tea making facilites, good breakfast included and in a great location right in the heart of Chinatown and downtown Toronto. Also free internet access.

Beds were very comfy (pleasant surprise), shower was good. I understand it is probably for safety reasons, but I hated not being able to open the window and the air conditioning was incredibly noisy- couldn't sleep with it on.

A very nice hotel in Downtown Toronto. Literally in the heart of the city! I had a small problem with finding it - the hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor. You just have to find the sign and then you're there.

- Friendly staff - Cleanness of room - Eco-friendly signs in the room - Free breakfast included It would be better if the parking policy could be changed so guests could make multi-entries during their stay in the hotel.

Location and it was quiet in night.Convenient parking No instruction how to operate their air-condition unit - no possibility to open window- - We were not informed that parking could be booked together with accomodation - for better price.

We like the hotel in general because it is well located, and is a good deal for the price. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is included and is a good start in the morning. This was our 5th stay at this hotel. For the first time, we had a room with window over the China town shopping mall which made it obscure; the walls, all painted with a dreadful brownish beige colour) had black marks on them (moving furniture or something else) and had a grungy look. It was quite small (one queen bed) and it really felt like staying in a cupboard! Otherwise, service was a bit less smooth than usual: the person at the reception forgot to give us the remote for air conditionning, the internet had to be reset..

Everything was great till the next morning before check out. Our room was on the top floor and when I went to have a shower the water pressure was so low that the water barely came out of the shower head. Couldnt have a shower because of that. They reduced my overnight parking by 10 bucks. Should of gave paid for it fully. The elderly lady taking care of the breakfast area was polite and cute. Better fix the water pressure problem or there reviews will keep piling up on this problem. Great area to dine for chineese food and just a short walk to the rogers center or the air canada center. I love china town.

value, and location All staff were very helpful except Whallen, someone needs to remind him he is in customer service and his tone should not come across as agressive, and that sours the guest experience

We love this Super 8 because it's right in the heart of China town. We can walk to all the places we like while we're there. It's also very inexpensive for Toronto. The rooms are very clean and decent, and there is a fridge in the room which we often make use of. They only have cable tv, in other words no commercial free movies. Also the bed was getting saggy in the middle.

For me two most important considerations for a family holiday are location and cost and these I consider are excellent at Super 8 Downtown Toronto. I would most certainly make further trips to Toronto later in the year and I would like to stay at Super 8 Downtown Toronto again.

Great value for the money and easy to access many things. Best way to get around was using the ttc (street car) $3 gets you anywhere with transfers. Left our car in the underground parking for $10/day. Good location in Chinatown, bordering on Kensington Market and short ttc ride to Dundas Square/Eaton Center, as well as cn Tower and many other things. The room was huge with hot tub, small dining and living room area, microwave & tiny fridge. Quiet and very secure rooms. Continental breakfast is cold items only. I think it's a hidden treasure on top of Chinatown Center. I would stay again, especially if I could have the King Spa Suite! Only cold items on continental breakfast.

Thought the location was great. We had just completed a 40+hour journey from overseas so were tired and jet lagged. This hotel put us in a great location to stretch out, walk around and explore before the next leg of our journey. The hotel had a nice, simple breakfast, a nice little exercise room (especially great after the long plane trip) and a very clean, comfortable room to catch up on our rest. The area is around some great restaurant deals in Chinatown, as well as the Queen St area which is a lot of fun to wander around. Would recommend this hotel. Would have liked a window that faced outside (to see the weather conditions & daylight/time of day), rather than facing inside a mall.

Convenience of the location - Chinatown - and accessible to travel to Downtown Toronto (waiting area for the trolley/rocket is just in front of the hotel)..plus you can stroll around the area and buy fresh fruits and Asian cuisine :) Parking lot was kinda creepy at the beginning...but all in all, it was also convenient..we didn't have to park our van somewhere else and it's just $10 for our entire stay.
