Tantalus Resort Lodge  

This is an older property at Whistler, but well maintained, suites were spacious. Well equipped kitchens The location is excellent close to the Westin Hotel and about 10 minutes walk into the village centre.

The bathrooms could do with a little upgrading, such as low flow toilets and newer showers, but it was adequate and great for families.

Fireplace in amenities but didn't specify that you had to buy logs, should be a gas fireplace. No barbecue available. Kitchen supplies were minimal and needed replacement

It wasn't clean. Cheerios on the floor, left over food on the counters, dirty dishes. I was worried the rest of the hotel room hadn't been cleaned. If simple things like this get missed, what else is dirty that I didn't see? I approached and told the employees, and they were fantastic. They diffused the situation. They told us it wouldn't happen again and that I shouldn't be worried about the room. They were very friendly. It still didn't make me feel better about the cleanliness of the actual room I was staying in, but I did make me happy that they empathized with how I was feeling. They took care of my parking for the "problem". That was nice. I probably wouldn't go back for a while as I had a hard time sleeping not knowing if the rest of the room was clean. The rooms itself are nice and def worth the price.

Noise corridors

The staff were so helpful as we had a two month old baby with us. They allowed us a late departure as we were grandparents babysitting while our adult children were skiing. The lady at the front desk was so professional and answered every question we had.

We loved the spaciousness of the suite, that there were place settings for 6 so we could entertain guests, relative small size of the complex so it felt personal and intimate, great location for walking to the village, awesome parking for overheight vehicles : )

One burner on the stove did not work and nor did the microwave oven. Inconvenient yes, but definitely not show stoppers.

I was unaware that all vehicles parked would be charged to my credit card (I thought that guests would have to pay upon check out) and now I have to chase down friends for money. Just wish I had known before .

absolutely loved the room. We stayed in a 2 bedroom premier suite, and it was so comfortable, my children did not want to leave. Anytime in the future when I come to Whistler, I will only stay here.

There was nothing we really didn't like

I was impressed with the staff at the front desk the night I phoned to confirm reservation. The girl on entery was really helpful as I was having trouble with my key card. Also my son lost his sun glasses and when we called he was very helpful, looked to see if they had been turned in, and also took name and phone no. Thought the room was very nice, bed in the room with queen was very comfortable, my son slept on hideabed and said it was ok, The bed in the other room were good. Loved the kitchen. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely recommend Tantalus Resort Lodge to others. Loved your pool and hot tub!

Excellent front-desk employees. Nice lobby - inviting ambiance. Excellent value for money - a good sized two bedroom suite and lovely sitting area. Able to leave car in parking lot all day on day of check-out.

Shower facilities in the room's bathroom were dated. A little far away from the centre of Whistler and quite a hill to walk up. Having had heart problems it was a little tough.

Beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff (mostly). Good value.

Close to Spruce Grove Park. We attended a weekent Baseball Tournament.

Our first morning the cleaning staff work us up before 8:30 am by walking into our room. She did however knock before she entered. There should be a sign to put on the door when you leave the room indicating that the room is ready for cleaning staff. I realize that a lot of customers get up early to start the day however we had a late night previously and we wanted my granddaughter to get her rest before she played her first game. There were also a few noisy revellers but there is not much you can do about that.
