Clean and good location
A bit like a dorm but good
This little hotel was great for what we needed. A place to sleep. It had a great view of the park and was in a quiet neighborhood.
The cleaning in the bathroom could be better.
The location The Wifi
The shower's head and faucet were leaking. In general, the bathroom is old and need to be renovated. Coffeemaker was disgusting . We aren't planning to returned to this hotel.
Convenient location to grocery stores and Chinatown. Streetcar stops at Bathurst Street to Bathurst subway station. Streetcar stops are also on Queen Street. There is a public library at Dundas Street West giving travellers free access to computers and the Internet. Kitchen has the necessary utensils so that a budget traveller doesn't have to go out and eat every day. Great value for money.
Free wifi is not stable. Always have to change network in order to access the Internet. Guests in other rooms can be noisy at night. Shower head fixed on the wall and is not as good as a hand-held shower head.
Besides location the hotel offers the minimum a traveller needs without unnecessary frills. It is comfortable.
I would appreciate coffee in the room, even though the hotel offers a rental from the office (with actual coffee packets, unknown).
Great location and parking.
Could use a little tlc. Get rid of the carpets and a little colour and decoration would make room more appealing. Toilet and shower could use updating.
good location near to where we were going nice and good size rooms
would be good that they do not charge for parking
Very close to Chinatown, approximately 30minutes walk to Yonge street. Kitchen just next to the bed. Bowls and dishes are all available and clean.
Hotel is kind of old. Door is still using keys.
The value of this hotel exceeded any we have stayed in before. We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go In Downtown Toronto. And we were right next to a public park, so my son was able to go and play "shinny" with the Canadian boys for hours on end. We knew the hotel would be modest and a bit dated, but it was clean and the service was very good. If you are looking for a Five Star Hotel, don't stay here. But if you are looking for a Five Star value, this is the place. We would stay here again without hesitation.
There was nothing we didn't like about this hotel.
Been put off the place after finding bed bugs.
Stayed one night here and found bed bugs, we were only given a refund for the future nights we weren't staying but didn't give us a refund for the night we stayed even though there was bed bugs
For a small downtown hotel it has all our needs.Just min from Toronto western hospital and the down town core at a very reasonable price. This was our third stay and we will be back.I just dont know why the hospitals dont recommonend it more I sure could have used it when my wife had her transplant
The property is at the end of a quiet street that abuts a park. It is an easy walk from Dundas Street or Princess Street. Plenty of restaurants and shops of all types close handy. Helpful staff.
We've stayed there before - suits our needs just fine.
I found the pillows so hard there was no give to them - uncomfortable
quiet ; good bed ; clean
The place was clean. The receptionist was friendly and helpful.
The facilities were outdated. The TV was something out of the seventies. The only channels available were the free ones. The picture quality was very poor. The toilet had to be flushed twice whenever it was used. There was no iron. A notice said you could get it from the reception
bed and everything was fine except a good chair, a lot of people are from the hospital and need comfort while watching tv
no comfortable chair to relax on. hard chairs ok for eating
We liked the proximity to hospital, Check-in staff was very pleasant, friendly and helpful.
location and price
everything was just "mediocre". Nothing more.
friendly staff ! and good location for us to walk around Queen Street and go to different bars and eats. will definitely stay here again !
AC was difficult to control.
price/perfomance ratio Close to the city center quit neighbourhood friendly atmosphere
a noisy airco
Close to city access Close to Porter airport Basic facilities available
.Room too very basic and cluttered .Open and messed up wiring .Front desk and reception very unclean ,shabby and cluttered .lift stinks .indifferent staff with poor customer service .street walk to the hotel not safe at night. Please read location and area review in Google .will stay only for the price or a quick stay
near downtown + wi-fi
people screaming near by (in the park) also I could hear very clearly other tenants (paper thin walls)
The location was excellent, near 3 main roads with street cars, also it took about 20 mins to walk to the lake or downtown. The hotel was quiet, staff were friendly and helpful. It was probably good value for money and meant we could eat out, and do other tourist attractions without our budget being used up on hotels. The carpet seemed fairly new and the bed, bedding and mattress looked very clean/new. The bathroom was clean, plenty of hot water and towels changed daily. We used the laundry which was useful and cheap.
Kitchen area was dated, very few items of crockery and was a bit greasy. There were quite a few spider's webs in the room which should have been spotted and cleaned. There appeared to be a few people who were resident in the hotel and at first this made us feel apprehensive. (There were no problems however and we soon felt comfortable and safe). There was a strong smell of smoke which wafted through from the room next door.
facilities unfriendly staff
Really less expensive than other hotel in the same area. Close to restaurants. You can have a small kitchen in your room for less than a regular room elsewhere.
