The lady running the place had us dying laughing. Also the location in downtown made it very convenient. Price was dirt cheap. There were hairs and tiny bits of dirt in the bed. Not cool.

I was amazed to read such positive reviews about this hotel because I certainly had a very different opinion. When I arrived with my friends, we were greeted by a man who said the housekeeper would come shortly, after waiting for about 5 minutes a woman of asian descent greeted us and began blurting out sentences in a rather frantic manner. I stood there completely confused not understanding a single word that came out of her mouth. She kept showing me papers and pointing at the credit card machine suggesting I pay. I told her I had already paid online, but she insisted that you had to pay on the spot. After paying, I asked her where I could leave my car overnight, and she told me she would show me... This meant she would actually get into my car with me and point in different directions until we got to the parking lot which could have been easily explained in words if she had spoken english which I expect from any hotel worker. Afterwards, she showed me and my friend to the room on the 4th floor, which kind of reminded me of a scene from a horror film, the hallway was so narrow that I thought I wondered how any person with a piece of luggage could walk through the hall. Anyways, once I saw my room I was slightly disturbed to say the least. It looked like a run down hostel and then I realized I was going to be sharing a bathroom down the hallway with everyone on the 4th floor. When I laid down on my "bed", I felt as though I had been laying on plank of wood rahter than a mattress. It was extremely uncomfortable and there were various suspicious stains. Non the less, after a night out I proceeded to fall asleep, until at 8am I was awoken by a fire alarm which proceeded to go off for at least a half hour. Considering that I was on the 4th floor, I proceeded to walk down to see if there was a real problem, when the same asian lady ran up to me and started shooing me away telling me to go back up to my room.

As advertised, decent location- street car steps away. Good value for money, room was larger than expected, quiet. Free coffee, water; fridge in room. Bathrooms were a bit on the dingy side, faint smell of smoke in room and hallways.

Excellent price for the location. Similar cost to some of the hostels in the area with much less privacy. Unclear on how to get in late at night (door was locked, response to the door bell was kinda slow). Inaccessible (which while for me is not an issue, could be for some other travellers). My room wasn't dirty, but it could've used a deeper cleaning. The shower in the bathroom didn't work well.

Very helpful staff and perfect location. The rooms with fridge, micro and coffe maker are very convenient. We often had dinner in the room. The curtain in the bathroom around the bath and the mats on the floor should be changed.

Cheap. Not too far from city- 10-20 minute walk. Lift available for heavy luggage. No curtains on windows- just some transparent lace. Was also being used as a nursing home. Not able to adjust heating.

The staff were friendly and accomodating The location to downtown Toronto was good The price was good Our room was not very clean....garbage behind the dresser and fridge Parts of the room were dusty...there was dust on the coffee maker , I was reluctant to use it because of this. I would only recommend this as long as they know this is a basic hotel

The staff (welcoming), the cleanliness and comfort of the room, well-furnished (towels and pillows were new) And little breakfast offered (coffee and tea) Maybe the area was not that good (and safe) Check-in a little bit too late (3:00pm)

Price It is a good option when traveling on a budget. Location is okay. The owners seem to smoke inside and the first and second floor have a very strong smell. Didn't bother me much because I spent my time outside the room. Room is not clean in detail but fair. Try to stay be accommodate on the 3rd floor. The rooms are more private and the bathroom is cleaner.

Great price, both the room and the parking. Comfortable bed. Great to have fridge in room. Good location, easy to get to and find...and to get to places from there. Staff was inept. Had language barrier big time, and she didn't know how to even process the payment by credit card! Also impossible to ask info of re directions or even the parking situation. Very disappointing to google "bed & breakfasts" in Toronto, have this one show up as one of only 7 offerings, book it, only to discover NO breakfast or meals of any kind included at all. VERY misleading. We were put in a room on the very top floor...having to walk up multiple staircases (double sized ones!) with our heavy bags...no elevator, at least, none was offered. Stepped on a needle in the carpet in the bedroom right beside the bed. (Room didn't appear as if it had been cleaned very well, if at all, from the previous occupant.) NO ONE was available at checkout the final morning to take our room key, and there were NO instructions or drop box to leave it in. Overall was a bit of a frustrating experience, and I'm not sure I'd stay here again, even though it was very reasonably priced.

The building was clean and well maintained. Was greeted by a very nice man who showed me to my room and around the hotel. The shared bathroom idea is still odd for me, there was no hot water in the tank for a shower at 4 pm. The area is very sketchy and would not suit foot traffic at evenings. Hotel is ment for a budget traveller.
