Score from 661 reviews Very good
unrealiable unhelpful poor service
the location is good; room is nice and clean
don't have independent washroom
Uncomfortable bed and noisy although I had asked for quiet room.
Nice big comfy bed. Microwave, quiet, tv,
Nice big, clean bed. A double bed. Good flat screen tv, with remote(no charge, no deposit). Quick and easy admittance. Fridge, microwave in room. Quick and easy departure-gave the key back and left, no waiting. I think 2 or 3 good towels-I didn't use them, I wasn't in the hotel long enough. The price was good for a room/hotel of this type. Cleaner than most all I've been to. Safety/neighbourhood was good here too, compared to others I've been to. I was shown to my room, where in some other hotels, I'm left to find my own way. I liked that. I'd go back.
The maze of hallways. My first time there so it was a bit confusing. A minor thing for me. Maybe the door saying "hotel access" could say "stairs" too.
The room was spacious enough for what I paid
We found poo on our bedsheets ... Really gross
The hotel is great! I work in a hotel in Barcelona as I must say I felt like home. The price was really good, It is walking distance to the center, I could go shopping everyhting without needing a taxi, It took me less than 1hour to go from the airport to the hotel, they upgrate me to a better room on the second day. They are super friendly and helpful with everything I was asking for. I will be back soon! Thank you!!!
the architecture of the house
All the stairs,,but then that goes with the architecture
being on the second floor and the hotel is also a shared rooming house kind of expensive
Staff for check ing(ours was a male) was very nice, accomodating.
It was like an old folks home. Nothing wrong but it's very similar to a retirement home. Washroom is digusting, worse then dorm washrooms. There was a bug there. Room itself was ok actually. BUt I did not shower there as I was too scared. Whole place kind of smelt. More long term then short term people there. The washroom is also tiny and just really dirty looking. Big turn off.
It was very quiet-and our room overlooked the street!
I do prefer an ensuite washroom-even just a sink and toilet but I did understand that there was not one with the room.
Clean, nice amenities in room (mini fridge and microwave), closet space; no problem checking in late, helpful staff
No washcloths or soap in shared bathroom; bedbugs - I was bitten, my partner wasn't.
A clean,quiet place
The stuff were awesome, very helpful, kind and did their best for our comfort. Twin room is very clean and big enough for two friends. Special thanks to Mikr :) If you are planning to stay in Toronto and looks something cheap, it is the best place in downtown.. Once you go there find Mikr and say hi from me
good room, clean bathroom
too many stairs
Quiet place Staff really nice and helpful Great location Nice rooms
Access to public transport Affordability
No elevators Rather shady neighborhood
- friendly staff
- spotted a few bed bugs (outside the bed) - shower didn't work
Michael and his wife were very good
Location; building; hostess is very nice; room equipped with fridge and coffeemaker; beautiful park nearby as well as an underground station
Poor wifi connection; rooms and washrooms need renovation
Temperature in the room
Shared bathroom, stairs, no drinking, water on sight, no phone in the room.
Nice neighbourhood slightly off the beaten path. Facilities were good enough, nothing special. Nice proprietor, very prompt service.
A bit of dust here and there, not a big deal, but a little polish would make this place more memorable.
the cumfort the radio alarm and the TV the fridge the microwave The owners of the hotel were really nice. There were enough bathrooms even if the bathrooms were shared.
It was not possible to vary the air conditioning and it was a bit too cool for us.
Tons of charm and character Convenient, inexpensive parking onsite with in/out 24 hours Right on Streetcar that goes 3 blocks to Yonge Subway Excellent Cafe's and restaurants within a few minutes walk Nice outdoor space (back deck) for relaxing with a glass of wine
Bathroom was small and shared and pretty basic
