The hotel is great! I work in a hotel in Barcelona as I must say I felt like home. The price was really good, It is walking distance to the center, I could go shopping everyhting without needing a taxi, It took me less than 1hour to go from the airport to the hotel, they upgrate me to a better room on the second day. They are super friendly and helpful with everything I was asking for. I will be back soon! Thank you!!!
the architecture of the house
All the stairs,,but then that goes with the architecture
being on the second floor and the hotel is also a shared rooming house kind of expensive
Staff for check ing(ours was a male) was very nice, accomodating.
It was like an old folks home. Nothing wrong but it's very similar to a retirement home. Washroom is digusting, worse then dorm washrooms. There was a bug there. Room itself was ok actually. BUt I did not shower there as I was too scared. Whole place kind of smelt. More long term then short term people there. The washroom is also tiny and just really dirty looking. Big turn off.
It was very quiet-and our room overlooked the street!
I do prefer an ensuite washroom-even just a sink and toilet but I did understand that there was not one with the room.
Clean, nice amenities in room (mini fridge and microwave), closet space; no problem checking in late, helpful staff
No washcloths or soap in shared bathroom; bedbugs - I was bitten, my partner wasn't.
A clean,quiet place
The stuff were awesome, very helpful, kind and did their best for our comfort. Twin room is very clean and big enough for two friends. Special thanks to Mikr :) If you are planning to stay in Toronto and looks something cheap, it is the best place in downtown.. Once you go there find Mikr and say hi from me
good room, clean bathroom
too many stairs
Quiet place Staff really nice and helpful Great location Nice rooms
Access to public transport Affordability
No elevators Rather shady neighborhood
- friendly staff
- spotted a few bed bugs (outside the bed) - shower didn't work
Michael and his wife were very good
Location; building; hostess is very nice; room equipped with fridge and coffeemaker; beautiful park nearby as well as an underground station
Poor wifi connection; rooms and washrooms need renovation
Temperature in the room
Shared bathroom, stairs, no drinking, water on sight, no phone in the room.
Nice neighbourhood slightly off the beaten path. Facilities were good enough, nothing special. Nice proprietor, very prompt service.
A bit of dust here and there, not a big deal, but a little polish would make this place more memorable.
the cumfort the radio alarm and the TV the fridge the microwave The owners of the hotel were really nice. There were enough bathrooms even if the bathrooms were shared.
It was not possible to vary the air conditioning and it was a bit too cool for us.
Tons of charm and character Convenient, inexpensive parking onsite with in/out 24 hours Right on Streetcar that goes 3 blocks to Yonge Subway Excellent Cafe's and restaurants within a few minutes walk Nice outdoor space (back deck) for relaxing with a glass of wine
Bathroom was small and shared and pretty basic
Very good owner she was very helpfull
LOvely friendly Chinese lady owner. I arrived late into Toronto and was starving and she made me noodles. Fridge and microwave in room! Good wifi and really close to city centre. Good pubs nearly, Stout and Irv's Gastro pub. Supermarket close too. Really quirky place and not cool quirky but genuinely quirky.
Air con made room cold. English speaking staff needed. Is the first floor a shelter for ill people? Men in wheelchairs sitting around in corridors. Not the classiest neighbourhood. Room wasn't made up during our stay.
it's not worth my money, I booked this place expecting there will be AC and Wifi. the Wifi was good on the 2nd day but the AC was broken. The owner did not notify me until I arrived. I tolerate the 1st day as she promised it will be fixed by tomorrow however it had never been fixed until I left. I ended up using the room as my storage and sleeping at my friends' dorm as it was about 80's F over the weekend. It took only 15 minutes to get your body soaked with your own sweat. there's only small tiny window which i'm concern for the safety issue. Stay away, I rather spend more money then suffering from the heat.
Good location but not very close to transit. Close to some good restaurants and Allen gardens.
Bathrooms were not very clean, the place smelled pretty funky and our room was very hot as we were there in June. Only two bathrooms for the whole place meant we had to wait to use them a few times.
The location was good, you could walk to places by day but by night it's not that safe, hot showers, room fine!!
Kinda dirty!! not safe to walk by night!!!
