This is the third time we have stayed at the Aspens. We were in unit 116 this time (privately owned), and it is better than the others we have seen. High-quality furnishings, electronics, and speedy WiFi, plus it's porch faces the trees rather than the plaza, and it includes a very nice gas grill.
This unit was excellent. It is so close to the village and it has everything to make your stay extra comfortable. We were very impressed by the variety of kitchenware and were not bound when cooking that there wouldn't be the right size pot or pan. Great unit!
The only downside was that you had to pay $15 a day for parking within the complex but this is body corps doing. $15 just seems high.
The location is nice b/c you can quickly get to the village if you want, but are out of the noisiest areas. You are close to some beautiful walking trails. Suite 104 was well equipped.
The check-in procedure is confusing. We were allowed to check in early but others have said they do not allow this. Different agents book different suites in the hotel so you don't go to the desk clerk for information regarding the suite. They have to call the booking agent. No soundproofing in building. People in the hall sound like they're in your bedroom. Stay on the top floor. $15.00/night parking fee.
The bed in the master bedroom desperately needed a new mattress, it was very saggy and too soft. My husband slept on the floor it was so bad.
This was my second time staying at this property. The reason I decided to stay there again is I liked the location, hot tub and having a kitchen so I didn't have to eat out the whole weekend. It's a short walk to the village with great scenery on the way. The bed was super comfy and I liked having our own bathroom in the on suite. Hope to go back soon
Large one bedroom and lounge units. Quiet location. Close to lifts or town.
Paying for parking. So parked way down the road, not so good in the rain!
Location is excellent....walking distance to everything so you can park up the car and forget about it. Kids loved the swimming pool Friendly staff Excellent space - home away from home
ilike the bedroom and living room set up.... so comfy
didnt like the seperation from Aspens staff and Blackcomb staff and attitude at front desk while being re-routed because i didnt understand that some rooms were private.
Lovely spacious apartment, very big comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, clean. Close to blackcomb village and 10min walk to whistler village.
Parking is a pain Take care of your own trash??? Some staff was clueless
Most things, everything was as we expected!
Location, pool, cheap parking, price overall.
No airconditioning!! Really hot and the fans are noisy and ill effective. Staff were pretty rude.
the staff are helpful and the place is clean.
our room was not ready upon our arrival. our password did not work in the lock. But worst was that there are no umbrellas around the pool to provide shade so the whole area is in complete sun all day until 4:30. This was a problem for my family who burn very easily. for this reason I will look elsewhere for next summer.
Location and pool
Bed was a bit too firm. Really needed air conditioning in both rooms
It was comfortable, quiet, well stocked and the bus stop was close.
one staff member at the front desk was rude, and the beach towels were like rags.
It was very comfortable, clean and loved that there was a bedroom, kitchen and living room. It was within walking distance to most things. The staff was very helpful.
We found out upon arrival that it was an individually owned unit, so there was no housekeeping for our four day stay. There were problems with the community washing machine and dryer. But these are minor and would not deter us from staying there again.
All was great
Fobs as we had code for room why not code for gates.., sauna would be outstanding
I liked the room and the fact that it was cheaper then a hotel room
The room, especially the restroom, was dirty when I arrived. The restroom should be cleaned without any dirty water in the tub And sink upon guests arrival.
Booking.com booked our accomodation through another agency, so when we arrive at the accomodation our booking could not be found, and the desk operative could care less as we did not book directly with them. Our room was not ready by 1600hrs, in deed, all the dirty mess from previous visitors was still in situ. Also to have to pay C$16 a day for on site parking is a rip-off, this should be included in the overall price
It was very quiet The pool and hot tub were nice The kitchen was great except our toaster didn't work, but they brought us a new one quickly.
There were some maintenance problem - fixtures falling apart, the bunk bed needed some attention (very wobbly). It was very hot inside the rooms even though the weather was not.
The views were incredible Gondolas Most restaurants Always something to do in whistler.
We didn't get the room that was pictured when booking with booking.com. That was disappointing. The prices were remarkably high. Very expensive city. Rudeness of people that live there. Wow.. I killed them with kindness. But was getting irritating by the end of the trip.
