Great style. Old building which kept it's character but was still clean and nicely furnished. Perfect location in downtown Victoria. There was a leak from the suite above us and the staff wasn't equipped or even inclined to do anything about it. Judging by the damage to the ceiling, the leak had been ocurring for some time.

I loved the big windows, the curtains and the bathroom door - these things make your hotel a different experience. Put that with the clean room, friendly staff and location - you have a winner. bit noisy with the pub downstairs- good thing I had earplugs!

It was the perfect place to rest your head - clean - friendly - close to everything - good value room rather small and no view (not that it really mattered for this trip) - could have paid extra for a 'Harbour View'

Excellent location, could walk everywhere once the car was parked. bed was not very comfortable, certainly could do with upgrading. Otherwise our room was fine. Uncertain wifi service but not that important to us.

It was unique and had so much charactor each room is different and done in it`s erra . It`s a older hotel with each room wainscoted and you can get a room with a library sitting room or one with a fireplace or one with a Jaqussi bathtub. It`s quiet but right down town with many restaurants and tons of shopping and sightseeing.

Location of the hotel was excellent. Room was roomy and clean. The lack of information on Victoria in the room. Staff were not very helpful, friendliness and interaction from staff was non excistent. Did not feel comfortable asking for information. The lack of on sight or close by restaurants was an issue and not explained well. No offer of breakfast on sight. But Victoria was beautiful.

Very large, perid room with fire-place (fire already prepared and simply awaiting lighting), jacuzzi bath and view of the harbour. Most importantly, location was right in the heart of everything - shopping and sightseeing.

The location was perfect! The coffee shop in the lobby was outstanding! It was quiet and clean. The flowers in the window boxes were very nice. There was no pop machine on the 4th floor. Parking was a distance away which could be an issue for some guests, although not for us as we walked everywhere. Low water pressure for showering one morning.

We were only looking for a place to lay our heads for an evening and did not use any of the facilities so cannot comment on those. The room was comfortable and clean with a bit of character (older building) which I liked. The only down side was the parking...I think if you have to walk a few blocks to park that should be included in the price of the hotel....but then again you are staying in the heart of Victoria??

We liked the fact that it was close to all the shopping and eating spots and within walking distance from many of the attractions. It is next to an Irish Pub and you could hear the music. It did shut down at midnight and we didn't find it to be a problem. It was fun being in the middle of the action!

Really good location - downtown on the shopping/restaurant strip, close to the harbour and parliament bldg. Good service at the front desk and the room was very clean and very spacious.

It was fine for a 3 night stay. Central to most of downtown. Walking distance to harbour shops and restaurants. Noisy .. The elevator sounds like a jack hammer. Neighbors loud tv at 2am. Doors on rooms tend to "slam" shut .. so hear everyone coming and going at all hours. View from room into another room. Not a good sleep.

Amazingly comfortable bed -very soft, loved it! Fantastic location! Liked that they have a towel washing saving program in place -good to see them making an effort towards the environment. In our case, through booking.com, it was exceptional value for money.
