Location, friendly stuff
"Included breakfast" means one muffin and coffee. The room was really small.
They are respectful, nice, and most all very accommodating, they really take their time to answer all your questions. The bathroom could use some privacy when showering or using toilet while someone is showering.
Kitchen is dirty and hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. And they could use more coffee mugs, bowls, and plates.
Next to the main train station.
The 1am "Doof Doof" music that makes it impossible to go to sleep. Five plates and 3 pots in the kitchen, makes dinner time difficult.
very good location, staff very nice and friendly
Was perfect location, the hostel had a cool look to it. Was basic, but had all you needed
Has a bar underneath the rooms which plays music on the weekends, which isn't too great when you dont go out
Friendly staff, good location.
Dude snoring so loud I couldn't sleep plus he left his phone on. I came in at 3 am and left by 5 raging. Not sure what the solution is, but never had this happen in hostel before. Usually have earplugs from army days but I forgot. The phone almost got him punched in his sleep though. Recommend earplugs for idiots and for the raging drunks outside.
Location was good.
The building itself was incredibly loud at night (traffic, doors, people)and the beds were terrible to sleep on.
Some of the showers and the sinks were broken. Everything was quite dirty. They have a bar in the first floor and the music is very loud until 2am, impossible to sleep.
bed is very uncomfortable
Location and staff excellent and bed very comfortable
Broken window fittings so had to use a rod to support it when opened. On very noisy street. Only 1 washbasin working for whole floor. No hooks within showers so no privacy when got dressed. Towels only available at a fee - was not advertised like that
Though very old but not smelly, staff is friendly and wifi is good.
The window cannot be closed at night, no AC and the shabby facilities is quite uncomfortable in my opinion.
Good value Good geographical location
It is located directly above a bar that has loud music until 2-3 a.m. every morning. I saw a mouse scurry through one of the common areas Rooms are small
Owner was very helpful, clean, great location
Cheap accommodation downtown, location is close to everything and it is pretty safe. Washrooms were clean and the staff friendly
Too noisy! I was at the second floor with earplugs on and I still could hear the "unz unz unz" of the music from the pub downstairs. Also the room is really tiny and the bunk beds are small for someone more than 6 feet tall.
close to downtown
loud, in-house bar with loud music till late at night on weekends, beginning Thursdays with Karaoke.
cheap lodgiing, towel rental, coffee&muffin service
shower does not get warm quickly
good location and friendly house keeper. Especially it's close to Habour tower, Canada Place anyway Awesome
the air of room was a little hot.
Close to everything! The people are nice and the price convince me ;)
Very noisy but it was the weekend so it was normal (if you want to sleep early it's maybe not the right place)
Great location in Vancouver Downtown. The friendly staff is really helpful with advices about things to see and do. The "muffin and coffee breakfast" does its job. It's a great hostel with inertional athmosphere and has a good pub in the same block.
Being an hostel the rooms are small and bathrooms are shaed. But you are just getting what you are paying for.
The hostel is far too noisy. The wooden floors and the single-glass windows are not the optimum solution to guarantee a certain level of confort to your guests. The spring mattresses in the beds are of such bad quality that it is possible to feel each single spring. The men's bathrooms were in general dirty.
Friendly staff. Centrally located. Clean facilities. Good coffee, awesome free breakfast muffin!
No kitchen. A little noisy.
I like the front desk staff, they were quite helpful. The location is perfect and convenient.
There is no electrical plug beside bed.
Location is good during the day when you need to get to places of interest. For example, Canada Place is only ten mins away by walking. Girl on front desk was friendly and professional. They offer a muffin for breakfast.
At about 9pm the pub below the hostel cranked up the music. If I was down there partying I would have loved it, but as I had to be up early I wanted to get a good night's sleep. I was lying on my uncomfortable bunk bed wide awake until about 1:30am surfing the bass from two floors below! You can also hear everything in the rooms beside you. I mean everything! The women's bathroom was hideous too. It was clean, but only 2 toilets (no privacy as they are tiny stalls with gaps at sides and they seem to be built for people 5ft6 and under!) and 2 showers with nowhere to get undressed/dressed. Not for the shy!
A good, central location, friendly and helpful staff, very clean and very cheap.
Shared bathroom facilities and bunk beds.
good value of money
no AC, too hot even in May, a lot of noise at night from the bar downstairs
