It was the atmosphere from the moment I registered to leaving the next morning. There was a peacefulness, part of it was the time of year as there weren't too many other people.and of course the trees were pretty. The person who was there at registration time was very friendly and funny. I wish I could have stayed another night.
Hmmm, not sure, I didn't cook there but if I had the facilities for cooking were maybe not perfect but really it didn't matter. I liked the location but it was a little noisy with the window open but again not so bad.
Very clean, very friendly staff, easy to get to and cozy rooms. I would stay again
They could use new mattresses and they didn't give shampoo. If that's my only complaints they are doing well!
Stopped here for the night from vancouver to banff. Found it on booking.com. arrived to find the very warm and welcoming proprietor Chris, and was equally impressed by the accommodations. The log cabin structure was very charming, the room was spacious and well appointed. I loved the wooden floors, so shiny and clean! The whole room was spotless and tastefully decorated. Truly value for money! We slept so well. As someone who also works in the hospitality industry, I really appreciate finding luxury in unexpected places, and this property showcases service and cleanliness equal to conventional luxury properties. When in sicamous, do stay here!
I stopped here overnight on route to Vancouver after reading reviews. The cabin was clean, even better than expected given they were log cabins. And the beds had soft flannelette sheets! Wonderful comfort on a cold October evening. No fancy frills but good basic comfort.
appearance, overall quality, use of a BBQ. Friendly management!
Parking a bit awkward...trucks parked right in front of door. Room(s) could use more light! (These are observations, not complaints)
Good sized, well maintained room. It is obvious that the owners and operators really care about the place. Added bonus of a fridge and a table to dine at in the room. Good TV channel selection, and the wifi was good enough to watch Netflix. Staff was really friendly and helpful.
Bed was a little soft, but that is a personal preference. The stay was great
Stayed on two separate nights. Rooms were very clean and well stocked. The updated room was just beautiful and so cozy with a lovely bathroom! Although my second night was in a room that had not eat been fully updated, it was as neat very comfortable and clean. Had a great night's sleep!
I thought it was a bit pricy for 2 couples
We regularly travel from Calgary to the coast and have found a great half way point to stay overnight. This accommodation is by far the cleanest and best hosted we have been to in the area. It is simple yet elegant in its rustic setting. As mentioned earlier the room was immaculately clean and well stocked for our needs. A definite gem. Kelly was extremely accomodating. We will be back.
Friendly staff, cozy log units, very clean, pet friendly, and lovely outside area with flowers, barbeque and patio furniture.
The mattresses were a bit soft. Be aware that you will hear train whistles during the night.
Quaint. Great outdoor area
Hard to fing plugs for chargers
Enjoyed the cabins and outdoor feeling of being "away". Lovely breakfast and welcoming hostess. Very clean.
Beds a little too soft for our liking.
Comfy bed and nicely appointed cottage ultra clean lovely country setting
nice rustic cabin, clean, beautiful garden and flowers on patio outside our unit
Just a bit dark in the cabin for reading, but very comfy
Conveniently half way between Vancouver and the rockies. Nice, large, clean cabins.
very personal and helpful
Very clean and breakfast was excellent.
The lady running the hotel was very nice & helpful. Even greeted me by name when I went back to the office later for something. The room was very nice. The breakfast was excellent - so cool to have it served outdoors, and it included some homemade baking, and had lots of variety. We thought it would be a great place to go back to and spend more time - we were there just one night and were quite tired so we did not take advantage of the outdoor seating, the BBQ, or seeing the town.
The curtains were too thin - the front window could have used blinds to block out the outdoor lights.
The whole experience.
Can't think of a thing.
A beautiful, cozy log cabin cottage style motel. Each unit has it's own picnic area out front where you can relax, read a book, play cards or on your computer. The owners make u feel right at home. Dog friendly. It is walking distance to everything. Askews grocery store is a hop skip and a jump. Licks and splits ice cream parlour in town, open to 10pm. D-Dutchman dairy a short walk away. Joe Shmucks Diner (great food) and a Tim Hortons. Also a beautiful leash free dog park on the river. Highly reccommend this Motel!! It's a home away from home!
beds too soft:(
cleanliness, courtesy, beautiful continental spread for breakfast. Beautiful setting, BBQ at each site. Quiet for the most part. lovely flowers and well kept lawns.
Train whistles(but to be fair, we live on the prairie, on one acre, so other than birds,we have little noise). Bed, soft and cozy to lay on, if you were by yourself, bed sunk in the middle, every time one of us moved to get a better sleeping position, it would wake up the other person.
Christind and her mofher are the best, they make you feel welcome and see to your evry need. The room was immaculate, the beds so comfortable and clean clean clean! it had a great family atmosphere and each unit has the use of its own outdoor sitting area and bbq access. The continental breakfast was an added bonus, homemade goodies! Can't say enough, a rare gem in the motel industry!
not a thing
Chris and her mother are amazing hosts. We had a great comfortable stay at this place. Very much appreciate Chris's professional, yet individualized attention. The room was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
After a long day of travel, it was wonderful to receive such a nice welcome. We were able to get our room early. All the guests were friendly and the room, though rustic, was clean. We enjoyed the added touch of coffee and pastries waiting out on the picnic table for breakfast. We were a short walking distance from the lake front.
Short walking distance to the beach, not like other hotels in the area. Very Quaint.
